New York, March 23 (IANS) Photo-sharing platform Instagram announced it has more than one million monthly active advertisers -- double the number since September 2016.
In a blog post on Wednesday, Instagram said that more than eight million businesses were now using a business profile on its platform, with the greatest adoption coming from the US, Brazil, Indonesia, Russia and Britain.
"In the last month alone, more than 120 million instagrammers reached out to learn more about a business," Instagram said.
Facebook-owned Instagram also announced that later this year, it will roll out the ability to book a service with a business directly from their profile.
The Instagram community has grown to more than 600 million globally.
According to Instagram, features like Boomerang and Hyperlapse have helped businesses to develop compelling content with as little as four taps.
Instagram also announced that it will offer more insights to businesses on stories, posts saved and multi-post images to gain perspective on its followers.
