New Delhi, March 21 (IANS) A group of trainees officers of the 70th batch of Indian Revenue Service (including two from Bhutan Royal Service) on Tuesday met President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to a release, Mukherjee welcomed them and expressed happiness that the trainees were from diverse social and cultural backgrounds from all parts of India.
The trainee officers interacted with the Prime Minister on a range of subjects, including the recent Union Budget, increasing taxpayer base, and themes such as innovation and technology.
Modi exhorted them to work towards meeting the aspirations of the people.
