India condemns terror attacks in Kabul
New Delhi, March 2 (IANS) India on Thursday strongly condemned the twin terror attacks in the Afghan capital Kabul that claimed 16 lives.

"We strongly condemn the twin terror attacks in Kabul on March 1 which have resulted in death of more than a dozen people," the External Affairs Ministry said.

"We convey our heartfelt condolences to the people and the government of Afghanistan for the loss of lives and property," it said in a statement. New Delhi hoped the injured would make early recovery.

At least 16 people were killed when Taliban suicide bombers attacked two security compounds in the Afghan capital.

While 15 persons were killed and 43 wounded in the first attack, one person died and another was injured in the second.

Saying India has been a victim of terror, the ministry said: "We reiterate our resolve to work with Afghanistan to bring the perpetrators of terrorist violence to justice they deserve wherever they may be."
