Chennai, Feb 20 (IANS) The Senior National Judo Championships will be held on February 26 and 27 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here, it was announced on Monday.
Over 600 men and women judokas from 31 states and union territories and eight departmental units will take part in the championships, the Judo Federation of India (JFI) said in a release
"This is the biggest official Judo event of the JFI, in which top judokas of the Country will participates," a statement read.
JFI is organising the national event with the association of the Tamil Nadu Judo Association. Tamil Nadu Judo Association had also successfully organised the Sub-Junior National Judo Championships in January 2015 in Chennai.
JFI also declared that its Annual General Body Meeting and Executive Committee meeting will be held on February 26 at a city hotel.
