Gamesa bags 10 MW turbine order from Malayala Manorama group
Chennai, Feb 20 (IANS) The Indian subsidiary of Spanish wind turbine-maker Gamesa on Monday, announced it has bagged a 10 MW order from Malayala Manorama group.

In a statement issued here, Gamesa Renewables said it will supply five units of its two MW turbines suitable for low wind sites.

The windmills will be erected at Palakkad in Kerala.

 

As per the order, Gamesa will be responsible for supply, erection and commissioning of the wind farm. The project is scheduled to be commissioned by June 2017.

"We are happy to announce our entry into the state of Kerala with this prestigious 10 MW order from Malayala Manorama and I thank the group for choosing us as their preferred partner," Chairman and Managing Director of Gamesa Renewables Ramesh Kymal was quoted as saying in the statement.

"This, being the first order in the state for us, will open up a new market to explore and will encourage us to further increase our presence in the renewable energy sector in the country," Kymal said.
