Bruce Springsteen wrote a ballad for 'Harry Potter' film

London, Feb 13 (PTI) Legendary singer Bruce Springsteen has revealed he wrote a ballad for the movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", which was never used by the makers.

However, the world got a chance to listen to the song called "I'll Stand By You Always" on February 10 on SoundCloud, reported BBC.

The song which was recorded in 2001 has now been removed after appearing for a few hours.

Springsteen said in the interview that it was "very uncharacteristic of something I'd sing myself," but hopes it would be used in a children's film in the future.

The number doesn't have any direct references to Harry Potter, although it includes lyrics like, "We'll let the night come and do what it may, together we'll find the courage, we'll find faith/ Until you awake.
