Roop Durgapal wants to try comedy show

Mumbai, Jan 21 (IANS) Actress Roop Durgapal, who has wrapped up shooting for TV show "Gangaa", says she is keen to try her hand in the comedy genre.

Roop was seen as Supriya in the &TV show.

 

"It was nice working with a jolly team in 'Gangaa'. I was well-acquainted with the production team which was same on 'Balika Vadhu'. The show that made me who I am today is 'Balika Vadhu', without any doubt," Roop said in a statement.

"I would be more keen on doing a comedy show next as I am very funny in real life and keep entertaining my family," she added.

Roop, who has also appeared in shows like "Akbar Birbal", "Swaragini" and "Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi", says she is also open to reality shows.

"The best part about reality shows is that they make you a well known name. So I won't say that I don't want to do reality, but I would prefer if it's something which adds to my profile like a singing or dance reality show," she said.

Nakuul Mehta's wife loves to perform live

Actor Nakuul Mehta's wife Jankee Parekh says being on stage and performing live gives her an "absolute high".

"My plan for 2017 is to do loads of covers, collaborations and originals. In addition to studio works, being on stage and performing live, gives me an absolute high. So, I'm looking forward to touring a lot with my band 'Jankee and Friends' for our various gigs," Jankee said in a statement.

She has come out with new cover single titled "Midnight jazz" - which is a Jazz version of the songs "Shaam bhi koi" and "Ajeeb dastan hai yeh".

The video features Jankee along with TV actor Siddhant Karnick.

Taking about her cover, Jankee said: "'Midnight jazz' is my ode to the classics of the 1940s and 1950s. Love, romance and jazz was my theme and I wanted to create a track around it."

Tom Cruise inspired Param Singh to become an actor

Actor Param Singh, who is currently seen playing an anti-hero in new show "Ghulaam", says he decided to become an actor after he got inspired by Hollywood actor Tom Cruise's act in 2000 action spy film "Mission: Impossible II'."

"When I saw Tom Cruise in 'Mission: Impossible II', I was blown away. That was the time when I decided to enter the world of acting," Param, who made his acting debut with "Sadda Haq", said in a statement.

"I did a lot of stage shows during my college years and later took up acting classes. I got my first show at the age of 25 and then there has been no looking back," he added.

Param is seen as Rangeela in the Life OK show, which also features Vikkas Manaktala.
