In addition to best director and best screenplay, "La La Land" swept the 74th Golden Globe Awards with best comedy picture, best score, best song and best actor nods to Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.

By winning the Golden Globe for comedy picture, "La La Land" attained its seventh win, surpassing the record of six awards held by "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975) and "Midnight Express" (1978).

On August 31st, 2016, “La La Land” world premiered at the opening of the 73rd Venice International Film Festival
