New York, Nov 9 (IANS) Even as Donald Trump stunned the world by winning the US Presidential election, millions of people on Facebook posted their reactions in the form of Likes, comments and videos globally.
According to Facebook, 115.3 million people on Facebook worldwide generated 716.3 million likes, posts, comments and shares related on November 8.
There were 643 million views of election-related videos on the social networking platform.
At his victory rally, Trump called for national reconciliation, saying: "It is time for us to come together as one united people."
He offered his "pledge to every citizen of the country" to work for them and said he would seek from those who were critical of him their "guidance and help so we can unify our country".
Trump spoke of Clinton's hard work in her campaign and declared she was owed "a major debt of gratitude for her service to the nation".
