Paris attack music venue to reopen
Paris, Nov 4 (IANS) The Parisian music venue that was the scene of a deadly terror attack last November is set to reopen with a Sting concert, the British singer announced on Friday.

Tickets are to go on sale on November 8 for the concert on November 12 at the Bataclan in Paris, with the revenue going to "Life for Paris" and "November 13, Brotherhood and Truth" -- two NGOs that were set up to help victims of a series of coordinated attacks that unfolded across the French capital on the evening of November 13, 2015, Efe news reported.

In comments published on his official website, Sting said of the Bataclan's reopening: "we have two important tasks to reconcile. First, to remember and honour those who lost their lives in the attack a year ago, and second to celebrate the life and the music that this historic theatre represents."

President of Life for Paris told French channel BFM TV that the event was significant and would help the association to continue their efforts.

Some 90 people were killed in the attack at the Bataclan on a night that saw multiple attacks on Parisian bars and a failed attack on the Stade de France soccer stadium.

A total of 130 people lost their lives and more than 350 people were injured in the atrocities.
