London, Aug 25 (PTI) Model Jodie Marsh says her marriage to James Placido was hell and she is doing much better now without him.
The 37-year-old TV star said she does not need a guy to be happy in life and she is doing well since her split with her ex-husband, reported Female First.
"Considering the hell he put me through, I'm happier now.
I'm over the shock of what happened and think, 'Thank God I'm not with him.' I'm much better off without that. It's a relief. I don't need a guy to be happy in life," she said.
Marsh has yet to reveal the reason for the pair's split but admitted that she would have been happier if he had cheated on her.
"I can't say, but put it this way, I would have been happier if he'd cheated on me. I could have coped with that.
My fans know me. They know that I wouldn't have been madly head over heels in love with somebody, for it to end in an instant, without a very very very big reason.
"I wouldn't be telling people, 'This is my soul mate', for it to end overnight so suddenly. There's obviously a massive, massive reason. I genuinely thought that was it for life," she said.
