Military court trial on Bangkok shrine blast put off until SeptemberBangkok, Aug 23 (IANS) The first hearing at a Thai military court of two suspects in last year's Bangkok shrine bombing that killed at least 22 persons was put off on Tuesday.

The military court ordered the postponement to September 15 for the first hearing on the homicide charges filed against the suspects, who had allegedly bombed Erawan shrine that also left 120 others injured on August 17, 2015, Xinhua news agency reported.

The defendants, who claimed to have been tortured to confess while being detained at an army prison, denied all charges pertaining to the blast.

 

The duo was taken to the military court on Tuesday, while 15 other suspects still remain at large.
