Chennai, July 25 (IANS) Government-owned Canara Bank on Monday said it closed the first quarter of the current fiscal with Rs 228.95 crore profit on a lower total income.
In a regulatory filing in BSE, Canara Bank said it has posted a net profit of Rs 228.95 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 478.84 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.
The bank's total income has decreased from Rs 12,252.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 to Rs 11,786.35 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016.
