Vistara to increase Kolkata-Delhi flight frequency from October end

Kolkata, July 1 (IANS) Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines (SIA), has decided to increase its flights frequency in Kolkata-Delhi route from two times daily to seven times daily by October end, a top official of the company said on Friday.

"We inaugurated our operation from the city in June 10 with two daily flights between Delhi and Kolkata. After staring operation from the city, within less than a month, we have decided to increase our footprint further to grow our frequency out of Kolkata from two times daily to seven times daily by end of October," said airline CEO Phee Teik Yeoh.

"Today, we have 11 aircraft and we will receive two more aircraft by October this year. We have decided that we will park these two new aircraft in Kolkata," he said.

 

Yeoh said that having started operations in January 2015, they now operate in 17 cities in 17 months.

West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra said: "We have discussed what we can do and how relation can be deepened."
