Mumbai, April 14 (IANS) In the wake of the untimely death of Pratyusha Banerjee, members of the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) have decided to hold counselling sessions with actors.

"Starting from April 17, we will have seven counselling sessions with all the actors. We really want to know the root cause of suicide and eradicate it," Amit Behl, chairperson dispute committee, CINTAA, told IANS.

"Of course, it doesn't guarantee anything, but we all will sit as family members and discuss our own highs and lows," he added.

Pratyusha, who portrayed the character of the adult Anandi in the famous teleserial "Balika Vadhu", was found hanging from a fan by her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh and neighbours at her Goregaon residence on April 1.

She was rushed to the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital where she was declared dead.

"Pratyusha was such a young girl and my concern is that as an actor, they need to understand highs and lows are part of this industry. So we have collectively taken this decision and have come forward to speak about it," Behl said.
