India's forex reserves rise to $359.75 bn: RBI

Chennai, April 9 (IANS) India's foreign exchange reserves went up to $359.75 billion as on April 1, the Reserve Bank of India said.

According to RBI's forex data, the foreign exchange reserves stood at $359.75 billion as on April 1 as against $355.55 billion for the week ended March 25, 2016.

As an April 1, the foreign currency assets stood at $335.68 billion, gold $20.11 billion, special drawing rights $1.5 billion and the reserve position with International Monetary Fund (IMF) stood at $2.45 billion.

 

On the other hand, the forex reserves for the week ended March 25, 2016, consisted of foreign currency assets $332.14 billion, gold reserves $19.32 billion, special drawing rights $1.48 billion and the reserve position with IMF was $2.59 billion.
