Mumbai, Feb 13 (IANS) Filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumars love story Sanam Re, starring Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela in the lead, has registered a promising start with an opening day collection of over Rs.5 crore.
The film, which released on Friday during the Valentine's Day weekend, collected Rs.5.04 crore on its opening day, read a statement from the makers.
Made on a budget of Rs.20.50 crore, Sanam Re, Divya's second directorial venture after 2014 film Yaariyan, has already recovered Rs.16 crore from music, satellite and overseas distribution.
Produced by T-Series, Sanam Re is expected to see a good growth over the weekend, especially on Valentine's Day on Sunday.
The film also stars veteran actor Rishi Kapoor.
