Mass, Pure Mass - The only way Balayya Can do

Story: Chandu  (Balakrishna), works as an employee in Dharma supermarket store and gets in tug with MLA Govardhana Rao (Chakravakam Madhu)  for Indu (Sonal Chauhan). Then, Chandu’s true identity is revealed. Who is Chandu and who are his enemies and how does he end them forms the rest of the story.

ActingBalakrishna is excellent playing two roles with different shades. Sonal Chauhan is used just as a glam doll and limited to first half of the movie, Anjali did well in her cameo as a love interest of Chandrasekhar Dharma. Rati Agnihotri did an excellent job as the villain. Even with such a huge cast, she really sticks out. Prithvi again shines with his style comedy. Suman, Nassar are adequate.

Techincal: Director Sriwass went with typical potboiler and developed the story around Balakrishna. He did not take any risk and add entertainment in right amounts.  Thaman’s songs are good but Chinna’s background score is nothing to talk about. Photography by Shyam K. Naidu is good. The production by Eros International  is good.

Analysis: This is a typical movie tailor made for Balakrishna with nothing new to offer though will work with a certain section of the audience.

Highlights:

  • Balakrishna
  • Music
  • Entertainment

Drawbacks:

  • Old Story
  • No Novelty

Box office: The movie will do very well in mass centers and may not get any traction in class centers or overseas markets.

Verdict:   Purley for mass movie lovers and others can skip it.
