Madhoo recalls how Suniel Shetty left the shoot in between after hearing about Divya Bharti's demise

Mumbai, July 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) Veteran actress Madhoo recalled how Suniel Shetty left the shoot of their movie 'Hum Hain Bemisaal' in the middle after hearing about the sudden demise of actress Divya Bharti.

While talking exclusively to IANS, Madhoo shared that Suniel was extremely close to Divya Bharti, so he decided to fly down to Mumbai after learning about her passing.

When asked if she ever had the chance to meet Divya Bharti, Madhoo told IANS that while they never actually met, her father and Madhoo's father were very good friends from the beach.

She further revealed that Hema Malini had cast Divya Bharti in her directorial venture, 'Dil Aashna Hai'.

"So I knew she was a part of my own family movie," the 'Roja' actress added.

Talking about how Suniel left the shoot of 'Hum Hain Bemisaal' in between, Madhoo said, "I was shooting for a film called 'Hum Hain Bemisaal', and we were in Shimla. Suniel Shetty and I were shooting when Divya passed away. And while we were shooting, Suniel had known her well, so he left the shooting to fly down."

For those who do not know, Divya Bharti passed away on 5 April 1993, at the young age of 19, after falling from the balcony of her fifth-floor apartment in Bombay. While the actual reason for her sudden demise remains a topic of discussion among movie buffs, her death was officially ruled as an accidental fall.

Coming back to 'Hum Hain Bemisaal', the 1994 action thriller has been made under the direction of Deepak Bahry. With Suniel Shetty and Madhoo as the lead, the primary cast of the drama further includes Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shirodkar, along with others.

Backed by the Spectrum Pictures Combine banner, 'Hum Hain Bemisaal', released in the cinema halls on 16 December 1994.
