Actor Suniel Shetty has paid a heartfelt tribute to veteran producer and former CBFC chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani following his demise at the age of 76. Remembering the filmmaker's support during the early days of his career, the actor shared an emotional note that highlighted the special bond they shared over the years.

Taking to X, Suniel Shetty reflected on how Nihalani played a crucial role in his journey in the film industry. The actor revealed that the veteran producer was among the first people to recognize his potential and offer guidance when he was still trying to establish himself in Bollywood.

“Pahlaj ji was one of the first people to believe in me. When I was finding my feet in the industry, he opened doors, guided me & always stood by me with warmth & encouragement. What I will remember most is not just the producer he was, but the person he was - someone you could call upon without hesitation, knowing he would always try to help,” Suniel wrote in his post.

Extending his condolences to the bereaved family, the actor added, “My heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones & everyone whose lives he touched. Rest in peace Pahlaj ji. You will be dearly missed.” The emotional message resonated with fans and members of the film fraternity, many of whom remembered Nihalani's contributions to Indian cinema.

Pahlaj Nihalani passed away on June 4 at the age of 76, leaving behind a legacy that spans decades in the Hindi film industry. Known for producing several notable films and later serving as the chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Nihalani remained a prominent figure in Bollywood throughout his career.

His cremation took place in Mumbai, where several members of the film fraternity gathered to pay their final respects. Among those who attended the funeral were Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Varun Dhawan, David Dhawan, and producer Boney Kapoor.
