Mithila Palkar Expresses Excitement Working With Bollywood Veterans in Bhooth Bangla

At the trailer launch of the much-anticipated fantasy horror comedy Bhooth Bangla, actress Mithila Palkar shared her delight at working alongside some of Bollywood’s most iconic performers. When asked if it felt surreal to be sitting with such an accomplished cast, she said,

 

"It’s actually quite surreal that I got this opportunity to be—well—in a film, and then to be on this stage with these talented people. So, I am really grateful to Ekta Ma'am for bringing me on board—to Priyansh Sir, Tabu Ma'am, Akshay Sir, Paresh Sir, Rajpal Sir, and Rajesh Sir. I am so excited—I was so excited—to be part of a film where sharing the screen with people I have watched on screen is a whole other level of joy that I simply cannot describe. And they all made me feel super comfortable, which was great. I feel—and I hope—that I get to do a lot more of this. And Wamiqa, of course, has been a friend, and I’m glad that we got to share a little bit of screen space together."

 

Directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Akshay Kumar alongside Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, Bhooth Bangla features a star-studded cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi. The film is set to hit theaters on 17 April 2026.

 

This marks Priyadarshan’s second Hindi-language horror comedy after the cult hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), which also starred Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, and Manoj Joshi. Fans are eagerly awaiting the combination of supernatural thrills and comedic timing, now enhanced by Mithila’s energy and her chemistry with the veteran ensemble.
