Mumbai, Aug 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) Actress Shweta Tiwari has spoken out against the abuse women face online and thanked an MNS member for helping track down a man who allegedly used derogatory and abusive language against her on social media.

A few days ago, Shweta had shared screenshots and stories highlighting abusive comments made by some men against women. She also posted their Instagram accounts, questioning whether such behavior was acceptable from people who claimed to support MNS chief Raj Thackeray. In her recent post, Tiwari revealed that following her posts, MNS member Snehal Adarkar contacted Shweta and clarified that the party neither supports nor appreciates such behavior towards women. She also informed the actress that the men involved were not members of the party.

Shweta expressed her gratitude to Snehal and the MNS team for taking the matter seriously and following up without her having to ask them again. The ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay’ actress wrote, “A few days ago, I posted a few stories showing how some men were using extremely derogatory and abusive words against women for absolutely no reason. I also posted their insta accounts because I genuinely feel that people who behave like this should not be allowed to believe that they can get away with it. I had also raised the question with Raj Thackeray Ji about whether this kind of behavior is acceptable from people who claim to support him.”

“Soon after that,@adv_snehal_adarkar from the MNS party got in touch with me. She told me very clearly that they do not appreciate or support this kind of behaviour towards women at all. She also clarified that the men involved were not members of their party.”

Shweta went on to add, “She told me that, whatever had happened, they would try to find them and asked me to give them a few days. Within just three days, she sent me shared the phone number of the person involved. And also a handwritten apology letter by him...”

“I genuinely want to thank @adv_snehal_adarkar and the MNS team for taking the effort to look into this, find the person responsible and get back to me — without me having to ask them to do it... I also appreciate that they felt it was important to let me know that they do not take insults against women lightly. Snehal also told me that if I ever face any such problem, I can get in touch with them. That effort was genuinely appreciated, and honestly, I felt better knowing that someone had taken it seriously.”

“But at the same time, I couldn't help thinking about the larger problem. We may be able to catch one or two people here and there, but what about the thousands, or perhaps millions, of people who hide behind their screens and feel completely invincible?

The problem is much bigger than one person or one incident. It is the mentality that makes people believe they can abuse women online without consequences. And that mentality will not change simply because we catch one or two people,” concluded Shweta.

Recently, Shweta Tiwari penned a note revealing that she had received derogatory messages from individuals she claimed were supporters of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray.

Mumbai, Aug 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) After being questioned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell over his show India’s Got Latent, comedian Samay Raina sprinkled laughter to his past run-ins with them as he has been felicitated by the cyber cell for promoting awareness.

Samay was being felicitated for participating in an awareness film about cybercrimes by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at an event, where Maharashtra Cyber unveiled its cyber-awareness short film Digital Arrest and the 1930 Maharashtra Cyber Anthem.

Raina, who contributed to both projects, went on to speak about the time when the cyber cell unit had registered complaints related to controversial comments made on his YouTube show India’s Got Latent.

“Maharashtra cyber and I go way back,” Raina said leaving Fadnavis and other entertainment personalities in splits.

He then quipped about how the Cyber Cell is very active.

“The Maharashtra Cyber Cell is very active. I can tell you this for sure Today, for the first time a cyber cell officer picked up a comedian from his home only to felicitate him,” said Samay.

This comment left Fadnavis bursting out in laughter.

Samay also joked about how he already had Maharashtra Cyber’s number saved because he often got calls from them during his India’s Got Latent controversy.

"Thank you for the felicitation, sir. My association with Maha Cyber has been going on for a very long time. 1930 is really a great number. I have actually saved it because I often get calls from there," he said.

Samay first performed at multiple open mics since 2017. He began opening for well-known comedians like Anirban Dasgupta and Abhishek Upmanyu in Pune. In 2019, he participated in Comicstaan 2 due to a suggestion from comedian Aakash Gupta. Later, he became the joint winner of Comicstaan 2.

In 2025, he announced a nationwide tour across India, "Still Alive And Unfiltered", which was touted as a comeback, following the controversy surrounding his show, India's Got Latent. The tour commenced in Bengaluru on 15 August and ended in Delhi on 5 October.

In 2026, he released his debut comedy special, Still Alive, on YouTube, after almost a year of hiatus from the platform, which became the most viewed stand-up comedy special on YouTube.

He later announced two collaborations with Netflix India; the first being the second season of his show India's Got Latent, which would be streaming on Netflix as well as YouTube, and the second being a new stand-up special.

People love it immensely. The most important thing for me was that when I got the opportunity to work with DKP Productions, I really wanted to work with them.”

Samikssha added that she was particularly drawn to Shruti Ahuja after understanding the character's personality and emotional depth. “Fortunately, I got to play a very interesting character, Shruti Ahuja, in Anupamaa. As soon as I understood the character, I felt that it had strength and that it suited my personality. That convinced me to accept the role quickly. Thankfully, people have also been loving it.”

The actress also spoke about the challenges of portraying Shruti. According to Samiksha, every character comes with its own set of challenges, and Shruti was no exception.

“She is a mother who has to justify herself for her daughter. She loves her daughter, but at the same time, she is not a negative character, and I did not want people to perceive her that way,” she said.

“She is essentially a positive character. As a mother, she has certain emotions and feelings towards Anupama. Every character brings a challenge, and I believe it is an actor's responsibility to justify that character on screen,” she added.

"Karan and I are very close, we share a very special bond even after all these years. In fact, we met for dinner last week and it was just like old times, we picked up exactly where we left off," he said.

He added, "Apart from him, Hina, Neha (Saroopa), Nidhi (Uttam) - I am in touch with all of them, we have a little group and we keep checking on each other. Yeh Rishta gave us friends for life, not just co-stars. It's really unfortunate what happened with Hina's health, it had shaken all of us. She is such a strong and positive person, one of the strongest I know. We all pray and wish for her recovery. Seeing her fight this battle with so much grace and courage is truly inspiring for all of us."

On being asked if he would ever take up a controversial reality show like Bigg Boss like Hina and Karan, the actor said he finds the format scary.

"Bigg Boss is scary for me, to be honest.”

The actor said that the “format is so intense” that “you are cut off from the world, that scares me”.

Ayush said: “I would be more keen for something like 'The Traitors' maybe, that has more strategy and mystery to it. But yes, I have worked with Salman Sir on 'Race 3' and he is amazing. I think he will be the only reason I would ever even consider doing Bigg Boss.”

“Just to be in a show hosted by him again would be special. Otherwise, Bigg Boss is too daunting for someone like me," he concluded.

Apart from acting, Ayush, who has worked in shows such as 'Tera Kya Hoga Alia' and 'Janani', has also worked as an assistant/second-unit director with choreographer-director Remo D'Souza on major Bollywood feature films including 'Race 3' and 'Street Dancer 3D'.

Reflecting on how the industry has changed, Ayush feels his generation of actors missed out on the social media boom.

"The unscripted shows have really taken off now, and it's amazing to see. During our season of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', social media and these digital platforms were almost non-existent. We didn't have Instagram, reels, or all these opportunities to connect with fans directly. I feel we have definitely missed out on a goldmine of opportunity.”

He added: “Today actors can build so much through social media, brand collaborations and unscripted content. We were purely dependent on the show's TRP. If we had these platforms back then, our reach and growth would have been completely different," he noted.

Mumbai, Aug 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) Actress Nausheen Ali Sardar, who made her television debut with the Ekta Kapoor show ‘Kkusum’, has talked about the challenges of playing a role which was way older than her real age on screen.

Reflecting on her breakout show ‘Kkusum’, Nausheen said she feels blessed that the title role is still remembered after so many years.

“I feel very blessed to have had a title role in ‘Kkusum’ that people still remember even after so many years. People don’t really get this kind of opportunity today. Very rarely are character roles remembered,” Nausheen said.

She added: “Now, with so much content, people just flip channels and are often on their phones while watching TV. That’s another reason why recall is so low,” she noted.”

Nausheen credited the era’s storytelling and music for the show’s impact.

“Also, the scripts were different back then. We used have trp of 18-25. ‘Kkusum’ had a title song that became the representation of the show. In those days, title songs played a huge role in the marketing of a show,” she said.

Nausheen was just a teenager when she started playing a woman in her late 20s to 40s in the show with the plot shifting ahead with leap.

She said: “When I look back, I realize I was very, very young to be playing a mature role. I was seventeen and playing someone between twenty two and forty. Personally, I’m a very childish and fun person, so playing such a mature character was always challenging. But as an actor, that’s part of the job.”

“Looking back, I think I did well. Being so young and still playing a mature role, and getting appreciation from the audience, makes me feel blessed. I’m truly thankful to Ekta Kapoor for that opportunity,” concluded the actress, who has worked in shows such as ‘Kahani Hai... Bolo Bolo’, ‘Kaal Chakra’, ‘Ganga’, ‘The Adventures of Hatim’, ‘Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka’ and ‘Vasudha’ to name a few.

Talking about the show, Kkusum followed the journey of a young, hardworking and middle class girl, Kkusum and later, after a 20 year leap on her daughter Kkumud.

The ‘Crime Petrol’ host reflected on his experience of playing a politician in the film and expressed gratitude to director Atul Sabharwal and the entire team for making the project a memorable one. Taking to Instagram, Anup shared a still from the film and wrote, “6 years of Class of ’83. One of the most interesting roles I have played.”

The actor recalled how the film gave him the opportunity to portray a politician across different phases of his life. “This film gave me the chance to play a politician over a period of almost 20 years,” he said. The ‘Balika Vadhu’ actor also spoke about enjoying the process of developing the character, including working on his look and portraying the different stages of the politician’s life.

Sharing behind-the-scenes images from the set, Anup Soni wrote, “6 years of Class of ’83. One of the most interesting roles I have played. Directed by Atul Sabharwal, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, and starring Bobby Deol, this film gave me the chance to play a politician over a period of almost 20 years.”

Mumbai, Aug 21 (SocialNews.XYZ) Television actress Shweta Tiwari has spoken out against the abuse women face on social media after allegedly receiving derogatory messages from people she claimed were supporters of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay’ actress shared a series of lengthy notes addressing what she described as the “deeply concerning” and “unfortunately very common” practice of using abusive language against women online. Shweta began by questioning how men from different backgrounds, including those who are educated and come from respectable families, could feel comfortable using degrading language against women. She pointed out that many of these men have mothers, wives, daughters, and sisters, yet still resort to such abuse online.

Shweta then alleged that some of the people abusing her were supporters of Raj Thackeray or his party. Reflecting on her connection with Maharashtra, she said she had spent her entire life in the state and had grown up believing that Marathi culture valued the dignity and strength of women.

The actress wrote, “Today I want to talk about something that is both deeply concerning and unfortunately very common on social media: calling a woman: r****. Any woman. Of any age. From any profession. Any man from any background can come online and call a woman r****. And what shocks me is that these men are not necessarily uneducated or from troubled backgrounds. Many of them are educated, seemingly come from respectible families, have wives, mothers, daughters and sisters. And yet feel completely comfortable using the most degrading word they can think of for another woman.” (sic)

The ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’ actress added, “And I thought how do you go home to that family after speaking to another woman like this? Apparently he is also a supporter of Raj Thackeray or his party. And that brings me to something very personal. I have lived in Maharashtra all my life. My father was brought up in Mumbai. All my life I have grown up seeing the pride and dignity attached to being a Marathi maanus… I grew up believing that Marathi culture respected women, their strength and their dignity.”

“So when I see people who proudly identify as Marathi maanus coming into women's DMs and calling them r****, I genuinely have to ask: Is this what being a Marathi maanus has come to mean? Raj Thackeray, if people like this are your supporters, then I would genuinely like to know, do you believe this is acceptable behaviour? Because speaking Marathi, calling yourself a Marathi manus or claiming to love Maharashtra is not enough.”

Shweta Tiwari concluded writing, “Because a woman doesn't lose her dignity just because you don't know her. And she certainly doesn't deserve to be called r**** simply becaue you disagree with her, dislike her or feel entitled to abuse her. Respect women not only the women you love but women. Period.” (sic)

Earlier, Shweta had made headlines after she shared a video claiming that she found a cockroach in a Red Bull can ordered through Instamart. “We ordered Red Bull from Instamart, and we also received a cockroach with that,” she said.

Moses is known for his distinctive guitar playing style, and experimentation in musical mediums in the Indian Independent and underground Music scene.

His musical repertoire consists of working across genres like Pop, Rap, Rock and R&B, with artists such as Arijit Singh, Divine, Metal/Rock outfit Kraken amongst many others. He also has multiple songwriting and production credits to his name.

Talking about his maiden Netflix series, “Class” is a crime drama thriller television series adapted by Ashim Ahluwalia and based on the Spanish series Elite. It is set in Hampton International, a fictional elite high school in Delhi, and revolves around the relationships among three working-class students enrolled at the school and their wealthy classmates.

The series explores a wide range of social issues affecting modern youth, including casteism, child neglect, corruption, homophobia, religious discrimination, and income inequality in India.

Sharing his views on Salman Khan’s role as the host, Vijay said that while Bigg Boss can continue without any one individual, Salman’s long-standing association with the show has made his presence an integral part of its identity and its connection with the audience.

He said, “No, no, I can be totally separated. If you don't hear this tomorrow afternoon at 12 o'clock, then also your life will go on. If Mr. Khan is not there, then it is possible with the show. So, a lot of people are connected because Mr. Khan is there.”

Vijay went on to acknowledge Salman’s strong association with the reality show, adding that it is now difficult to imagine Bigg Boss in its current form without the superstar. “So, Salman, sir, is an integral part of the show. And without him, it is very difficult to imagine the show now. Like, it is very difficult to imagine Khatron Ke Khiladi without Rohit Shetty sir,” he said.

Salman Khan has been associated with “Bigg Boss” for several seasons and has become one of the most recognizable faces of the franchise. Talking about the actress, Munmun started her journey with Hum Sab Baraati in 2004. The actress was seen in a small role in the film Holiday directed by Pooja Bhatt. Starring Dino Morea, Gulshan Grover and Onjolee Nair, the film is a remake of the 1987 American film Dirty Dancing.

She is currently seen in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah based on the weekly column Duniya Ne Undha Chasma by Tarak Mehta for the magazine Chitralekha. It is one of the longest-running television series in India.

The series is set in Mumbai and follows the lives of the residents of Gokuldham Co-operative Housing Society, a diverse community with people from different cultural and regional backgrounds.

The actor, who is currently seen in Rajshri’s “Sangemarmar” and “Manpasand Ki Shaadi,” said the journey was more than just a holiday, as it changed the way he looked at himself and the world around him.

Avinash mentioned that he has taken only one solo trip so far, but the experience remains one of the most memorable and liberating journeys of his life. Recalling his trip to San Francisco, he said, "Yes, I have, only once, and unarguably one of my most memorable journeys, and incredibly liberating. It was my solo trip to San Francisco.”

"It was a wonderful experience because travelling alone teaches you to trust yourself and embrace uncertainty. I spent my days simply walking, discovering neighborhoods, interacting with locals, and experiencing the city at my own pace. There was no pressure to follow an itinerary. It was liberating, enriching, and deeply personal.”

“It was one of the most rewarding travel experiences of my life. It wasn't just a trip; it was a conversation with myself, and I came back richer because of it,” he added.

The ‘Geet’ actor also shared that despite his busy work commitments, he tries to make time for travel whenever possible. Avinash revealed he usually manages to take a couple of vacations a year, but for him, travelling is more about meaningful experiences than simply ticking destinations off a list.

“With my work commitments, I try to take a couple of vacations a year whenever time permits. I'm not someone who travels just to check destinations off a list. I travel for the experience. “If I had to pick one place that remains close to my heart, it would be Darjeeling. I love its vibe, its diversity, its beautiful hilly landscapes, and the feeling that every street has a story to tell.”

Apart from his film career, Avinash Wadhawan has also established a strong presence on Indian television. He has featured in several popular shows over the years. “Khatron Ke Khiladi” is based on the American series Fear Factor. First launched as Fear Factor India, which later became Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi on 21 July 2008. A spin-off of the main series Khatron Ke Khiladi: Made in India was launched in 2020.

It is a reality game show where celebrities face their fears and perform extreme, phobia-busting stunts. Season 14 took place in Romania, with actor Karan Veer Mehra winning the title and Krishna Shroff as the runner-up.
