Dharamsala, June 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Grammy Award won by Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, at the age of 90 for the album "Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama" will be formally presented to His Holiness at the office of His Holiness here on Wednesday.

The award-winning album is a unique collaboration between the Dalai Lama and the internationally renowned Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, together with his sons -- Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash.

The album brings together His Holiness' reflections on compassion, peace, mindfulness and the oneness of humanity with the rich tradition of Indian classical music.

Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, accompanied by Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, will arrive at the office of the Dalai Lama at 9:30 a.m. to officially present the Grammy Award to him.

The collaboration reflects the shared belief that music, wisdom and compassion can help promote inner peace and greater understanding among people across the world.

The Dalai Lama won his first Grammy Award in February for Best audio book, "Narration, and Storytelling Recording".

The Nobel Peace laureate competed against Milli Vanilli's Fab Morvan, US Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, show host Trevor Noah, and actress Kathy Garver.

Rufus Wainwright had accepted the award on the Dalai Lama's behalf during the ceremony streamed on YouTube.

"Meditations: The Reflections Of His Holiness The Dalai Lama" is the entry from the world's foremost Tibetan Buddhist, an album of innovative collaborations with Hindustani classical influences.

Sixty-six years ago, the 14th Dalai Lama, disguised as a soldier, left Norbulingka Palace in Tibet, a Third Pole, and escaped into exile in India after his challenging 14-day journey.

Since then, the longest, most respectable staying guest of the Indian government, who often says he is enjoying every possible liberty, has been toeing a path of promoting human values, religious harmony, besides preserving Tibetan language and culture, the heritage received from the masters of India's Nalanda University.

Tenzin Gyatso, 14th Dalai Lama, with a retinue of soldiers and Cabinet Ministers, escaped into exile on March 17, 1959, after China crushed an uprising in Tibet.

Globetrotting the Dalai Lama, who is considered a living Buddha of compassion, in his latest book, 'In Voice for the Voiceless', offers insights into his decades-long dealings with China.

In the book, the Dalai Lama, a reincarnation of past Dalai Lamas, reminds the world of Tibet's unresolved struggle for freedom and the hardship his people continue to face in their homeland.

The book captures his extraordinary life, uncovering what it means to lose your home to a repressive invader and build a life in exile; dealing with the existential crisis of a nation, its people, and its culture and religion; and envisioning the path forward.

He was 16-years-old when Communist China invaded Tibet in 1950, only 19 when he had his first meeting with Chairman Mao Zedong in Beijing, and 25 years when he was forced to escape to India and became a leader in exile.

On reaching India after a treacherous journey, the Dalai Lama first took up residence for about a year in Mussoorie in Uttarakhand.

On March 10, 1960, just before moving to Dharamsala, a town perched on the upper reaches of north India's Kangra Valley, the Dalai Lama had said: "For those of us in exile, I said that our priority must be resettlement and the continuity of our cultural traditions. We, Tibetans, would eventually prevail in regaining freedom for Tibet."

At present, India is home to around 1,00,000 Tibetans and the government-in-exile.

In the video doing rounds on social media, an enthusiastic fan can be seen rushing towards Ram Charan while he was seated next to Janhvi.

The fan, who seemed to have styled himself just like Ram Charan, made his way towards the stage, and in an attempt to reach the 'RRR' actor, he ended up hitting Janhvi before the security jumped in.

While nothing is too clear, the clip suggests that, the fan, while making his way through the crowd and in an attempt to shake hands with Ram Charan ended up losing his balance and falling on the handle of the sofa Janhvi was sitting on, leaving her absolutely scared.

Kevin Kunta, Ram Charan’s personal bodyguard, stepped in immediately and took the fan away.

The social media is flooded with reactions such as "International Level security..", "World level Security... What a Man", and "Jahnvi's reaction stole the whole show", among others.

However, later during the same event, another clip featuring the fan showed him meeting Ram Charan, but in a controlled environment this time. The fan can be seen thanking the actor and even bowing at his feet.

Meanwhile, with Ram Charan and Janhvi as the lead pair, "Peddi" also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani in important roles, along with others.

The film has been triggering huge interest in fans and film buffs, ever since its makers announced its title through a teaser.

The title teaser was launched by popular actor Arya and ace director Mari Selvaraj and opened on an intriguing note with a thought-provoking saying attributed to Gautama Buddha. “The mind is everything. What we think, we become.”

The teaser presented a striking conversation between an elderly man, played by Jayapalan, and the unseen voice of the protagonist. Their exchange revolved around the symbolism and significance of a flagpole, subtly weaving in political references that span from Arignar Anna to actor Vijay. These moments were brought alive through the sharp and impactful dialogues penned by critically acclaimed filmmaker Raju Murugan.

What followed was a compelling montage where the voice over seamlessly blended with a series of breathtaking action sequences. Eventually, the film’s striking title was revealed.

The presentation stood out for its engaging technical finesse. Cinematographer Pratheep Kaliraja's visuals in the teaser had a gritty and immersive appeal, while composer Sam CS's music amplified the entire experience with a thunderous background score that heightened the drama and intensity.

Gautham Ram Karthik plays the lead in the film, with Anchana Nethrun appearing as the female lead. The film also features Selvaraghavan in a pivotal role alongside Robbie, P. Vasu, A. Venkatesh, Maaran, Indumathi, Aditya Kathir, Bakkiyam Sankar and others.

'Bloody Politics' is being produced by director Ganesh K. Babu, best known for having directed the critically acclaimed superhit film 'Dada'. The striking teaser presentation also highlights the confident directorial vision of Dhina Raghavan.

“Working with Randeep Sir was honestly one of the most enriching experiences for me as an actor. From the very beginning, he was incredibly supportive and made me feel completely comfortable on set,” said Heera.

She further recalled how Hooda would guide her through the smallest details during the shoot, such as posture, body language, and overall character presentation.

Heera went on to add, “He would guide me even in the smallest aspects of performance — from posture and body language to the way I carried myself in a scene."

Heera revealed that all those small moments turned into valuable lessons for her, helping her understand realism and authenticity.

Apart from his well-known acting prowess, Heer also went on to praise Hooda for his humility and warm nature on set.

“There was absolutely no attitude or superiority — he was warm, humble, encouraging, and always willing to help,” she stated.

She called the experience of working with the 'Highway' actor a “masterclass in itself".

Heera admitted that witnessing Hooda's performance in front of the camera was both inspiring and educational as he appeared absolutely effortless and natural in every single scene.

She revealed that she was quite nervous before her first scene with the 'Sarabjit' actor because she had admired his work for a long time.

However, she was able to settle very quickly as the atmosphere on set was very comfortable and welcoming.

She emphasized that financial freedom and self-reliance are crucial for women's empowerment. Pednekar stated, “First of all, I would like to say that today we had an incredible panel where we talked about the environment, women's safety, and empowerment, and I think this initiative exactly highlights those things.”

“Basically, our female drivers will be given a rickshaw; they will be empowered; they will be given financial freedom; they will be given independence. And a very simple thing is that if our country's women are capable, then our country will move forward faster, there will be more safety. And I think this initiative does an actionable thin. We always think that this should be done, that should be done for women empowerment. This was actually done by Bhamla Foundation. And I hope that this pink rickshaw will be spread all over the country. Today, 1000 rickshaws will be launched in Mumbai. The target is 12,000 for Maharashtra. They will be given in other states as well,” added Bhumi Pednekar.

The 36-year-old actress, along with Saher Bhamla and Amruta Fadnavis, was spotted at the launch of the Bhamla Foundation’s #DriveHerFuture initiative. While interacting with Rajeev, Gurmeet also recalled his struggling days and how Debina believed in him when he had absolutely nothing.

Mumbai, June 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) Late legendary playback singer Suman Kalyanpur had once opened up about one of the most constant comparisons of her superhit songs, being mistaken to be sung by legendary singer and her competitor Lata Mangeshkar.

In an old interview with DD News, Suman Kalyanpur was seen candidly talking about how listeners often assumed many of her hit songs had been sung by Lata Mangeshkar because of the striking similarity in their voices.

When asked whether she ever felt affected by constant comparisons with the late Nightingale of India, Kalyanpur responded with much humility.

She said she never fully understood why their voices sounded so alike, but recalled that ever since childhood, people would often assume songs sung by her were actually playbacked by Lata Mangeshkar.

"Pata nahi kyun aise hain, meri samajh mein nahi aata hai. Magar jab bhi bachpan se main gaati thi, sabhi ko lagta tha ki yeh unka gaana hua hai," she said.

The veteran singer then offered an humourous explanation for the similarity. "Shayad hum saath mein gaye honge Bhagwan ke paas maangne kuch aur humko aadha-aadha mila hoga. Aise isliye meri awaaz waise milti hai. Bass woh pehle aa gayi hai," she joked.

The singer also revealed that she shared a warm and cordial relationship with Lata Mangeshkar.

Recalling their interactions, she said, "Bahut achche se milte thi. Bahut achcha humare beech mein rapport rehta tha."

Over the course of a career spanning several decades, Suman Kalyanpur carved a niche for herself as one of Hindi cinema's most beloved playback singers.

She said that the sexual harassment allegations she had levelled against the show's producer were false, as she said “woh jhoot tha” during a conversation in Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa’s podcast.

Speaking candidly about the controversy in the podcast, Shilpa said that she had resorted to filing the complaint because she felt she had no other option at the time and was seeking a way out of the situation.

“Nobody knows this, I am not scared of saying the truth after 1 year, and I will still say that what I am saying is a big thing mainai apne producer ke upar sexual harassment ka case kardiya tha kiyunki mere pass koi rasssta nahi tha aur tab main uss main se nikli hun settle hoke,” she said.

“(Nobody knows this. I’m not afraid of telling the truth now, even after a year, and I’ll still say it because it’s a big revelation. I had filed a sexual harassment case against my producer because I had no other option. Eventually, I came out of that situation after reaching a settlement. At that time, no producer supported him, and I filed the case on that basis.)”

“Tab kisi producer ne unka saath nahi diya aur mainai case usi basis pe kiya … police toh seedha FIR karne ke liye yeh bolti hai aapko ganda likhna padega and I am from law background,” she added.

Shilpa shared that at that time, one of her friends asked the actress ‘Do you know what you are doing?’ And she replied saying: ‘I have no other way.’

The actress said it was like understanding the Mahabharata. Shilpa shared that even producer Sanjay Kohli said the same thing that all avenues had been blocked, so she was bound to break through somehow.

“Bechara woh usme badnaam hogaya (The poor man ended up being defamed because of it),” she added.

The actress said that she is saying it for the first time as all a lie.

“Main aaj iske through bol rahi hun woh jhooth tha. Main yeh aaj first time confess kar rahi hun sach much. Fir humaari settlement hui aur jo humaari payment thi jo teen mahine baad milta tha woh clear hua.”

Speaking exclusively to IANS, Khurana, who is currently serving her notice period for ‘Tu Juliet Jatt Di,’ shared, “Casting nowadays is low-budget only for semi-known actors. Freshers come at a lower budget anyway, and the known ones demand a very high budget.

"For those who worked hard and reached the semi-known level over a long time, their condition has deteriorated in the middle. It’s the same thing that happens in normal society, where the poor get poorer, the high class gets richer, and the middle class is the one getting crushed. So, this is how it has become now. They pick freshers for their leads and bind them in a package.”

Aanchal added, “Regarding casting, if you pick one or two veteran actors who bring strong performances, they are willing to cast the remaining 30 actors for the show as non-performers. This is because, in daily soaps, they feel they can teach them over two or three months. But what they don't understand is that a performing actor makes a huge difference. The audience is able to connect well with a good actor and a good performance. If the first two to three months of your show are spent with a new artist who is still learning, just because they look good or have a following, that’s all they are looking at. Even if they get a non-performer YouTuber or an Instagrammer with a lot of followers who doesn't know how to act, they will give them the budget. But they won't give a budget to a good actor.”

The actress, who has spent over 15 years in the industry, also shared how much she has been getting offered in the last few months. Aanchal mentioned, “The budget they are offering is Rs 5,000, ₹6,000, or Rs 7,000 per day to someone like me who has been working for 15 years and has won best actor awards. So, if this is happening to me, and the same budget is being offered to a fresher, it is very disheartening, embarrassing, and insulting. And the repercussions we have already noticed.”

“The shows are already not doing well. How much can one senior actor save a show? And they are not even making wholesome shows. Just showing a hero and heroine for 30 minutes every day in an episode—how much can you watch the same crying, drama, and everything.”

She concluded by saying, “The solution, I guess, is that you should at least send the audition to the channel and show a little favor to people who are doing good acting. Because if a producer thinks they can just make money for 7-8 months, close the show, and they don't care, then this game will keep running like this. It will never improve. OTT will move ahead, films will move ahead, and TV will shut down one day.”

Sharing the story, Asha Parekh said, "Pehela joh gana gaya tha na Rajesh Khanna ka apko pata hai Rajesh Khana joh Babu Moshay jo bolte the ye kaha se aya hain bangali word hain."

(The song that was just performed reminded me of Rajesh Khanna. Do you know where his famous 'Babu Moshai' came from? It is actually a Bengali word.)

She added, "Toh Raj Kapoor ji Hrishi da ko Babu Moshay bulate the." (Raj Kapoor Ji used to call Hrishikesh Mukherjee 'Babu Moshay')

"Toh isliye Hrishi da ne ye naam Babu Moshay Rajesh Khana ji ko diya hain." (That is why Hrishikesh Mukherjee gave the term 'Babu Moshai' to Rajesh Khanna Ji.)

"Jb vo bolte the, ‘Babu Moshay’ sare ladkiya behosh ho jate the." (And whenever he would say 'Babu Moshai,' all the girls would go crazy for him.)

The BAFTA-nominated actor says working with names like Peter Dinklage, Timothy Olyphant, and the entire ensemble pushes him creatively every single day.

The actor will soon be leaving for an international schedule in the first week of June. Adarsh will reprise his role as “Slightly”.

The series is created by Noah Hawley and executive-produced by legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott.

Adarsh was last seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s Tu Yaa Main. Rooted in today’s creator-driven culture, the film offers a fresh, youthful take on love and survival.

Talking about Adarsh, he is known for his work across film, television, and digital platforms. He trained in Hindustani classical music before transitioning fully into acting. He began his career as a child artiste, appearing in films such as ‘My Name Is Khan’, where he played a younger version of Shah Rukh Khan’s character.

He gained wider recognition with his role in the Prime Video series ‘Made in Heaven’, portraying Balram Menon, which showcased his ability to handle layered, contemporary characters. His international breakthrough came with ‘The White Tiger’, in which he played the lead role of Balram Halwai.
