Hyderabad, July 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) Director Uday Chauhan's upcoming comedy drama, 'Pallaburusu', featuring actors Sudhakar Reddy and Murlidhar Goud in the lead, will hit screens worldwide on August 14, its makers announced on Friday, even as they released the first look poster of the film.

Sources in the know claim the Telugu film will deliver a refreshing, laugh-out-loud blend of comedy and drama and say that audiences will be able to enjoy the cultural essence of the region in which the film is set in.

The film will feature Sudhakar Reddy and Muralidhar Goud as father and son respectively. It will also feature Prajwal Yadma and Gomathy Reddy in pivotal roles.

The first-look poster features the two lead characters seated back-to-back on a giant toothbrush resembling a balancing scale outside a district courtroom.

The feature film is written and directed by Uday Chauhan, and is presented and produced jointly by Annapurna Studios and EPIC Studios. Aditya Pittie and Vivek Krishnani serve as producers for EPIC Studios.

Taking to its social media timelines to announce the release date of the film and also share its first look poster, production house Annapurna Studios said, "What is Pallaburusu? The questions end here... and the fun begins. Presenting the First Look and Title Glimpse of Pallaburusu. Backed by a stellar technical lineup, Pallaburusu brings together top-tier talent to ensure a visually and aurally rich cinematic experience. The film features cinematography by Vinod K Bangari, music composed by Pawan CH, and production design by Kshitij Jeevan Randhir.

The film will have editing by Srujana Adusumilli and Vishnu Preserver as its choreographer. Princi Vaidh has served as the costume designer for this film, which has Adhip Iyer as its creative producer. Lyrics for the songs in the film are by Suresh Gangula.

Chennai, July 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) The makers of director Krishnakumar Ramakumar's eagerly awaited period film, 'GDN', featuring actor Madhavan in the lead, on Friday announced that the film would hit screens worldwide on August 7 this year, much to the delight of fans and film buffs.

Taking to its social media timelines, Varghese Moolans Pictures, the production house producing the film, wrote, "Story of a man driven by passion… fueled by legacy. #GDN releases worldwide on August 7."

For the unaware, the film is a biopic of iconic Indian inventor, agriculturist and philanthropist G D Naidu.

A trailer that the makers launched earlier this month has triggered huge expectations among fans and film buffs.

In fact, the trailer was launched at a special event organised at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, which is also the hometown of the legendary inventor.

The entire cast and crew of the film were present at the trailer launch event as were the family members of the brilliant innovator and philanthropist who was hailed as the Edison of India.

The trailer released begins with a person saying G D Naidu, in his old age, had gone mad, as he had bombed his own building. The trailer then shows an Englishman asking, "Who the hell is this fakir?"

It is then that GD Naidu's character is introduced with flair. His detractors are jealous he is making millions through his transport system UMS. We also realise that he has started a polytechnic engineering college.

The trailer shows actor Jayaram playing a very vicious character called Krishnan with power. He asks, "GDN charges huge amounts as fees but does he find paying tax a bitter pill to swallow?"

The British realise that GDN is working within the system and that his books are clean. However, his rivals are intent on thwarting his fame and success by hook or crook. Vinay Rai's character is seen telling an English official, "Soil the books."

Those in power try to restrict GDN's growth by levelling trumped up charges against him. Jayaram's character is seen ordering cops to search GDN's premises claiming they had got information that GDN had developed machines for printing counterfeit currency.

Eventually, we get to know from the trailer that GDN was an honest tax payer who was paying all his taxes on time and that he began questioning the government only when they began levying taxes unjustly on him.

The trailer then shows the British government bringing treason charges against GDN, saying that he was doing business with the Nazis and that this was against the interests of the crown.

Krishnan's character threatens saying that GDN will not be allowed even one peaceful night's sleep from that point on. The trailer ends with Aditi Balan's character summing up the courage of GDN.

She says," If the story of a hunt is written by the lion without the hunter in it, then the meaning of courage itself will change."

The film, apart from Madhavan, also features Jayaram, Priyamani, Dushara Vijayan, Sathyaraj, Aditi Balan, Vijay Rai in pivotal roles. The film has music by Govind Vasantha and cinematography by Aravind Kamalanathan.

Chennai, July 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) Actor, producer and parliamentarian Kamal Haasan has penned an emotional post recalling his friendship with one of Tamil cinema's iconic directors Bharathirajaa on the occasion of the latter's birthday on Friday.

Taking to his X timeline, Kamal Haasan, who has worked with Bharathirajaa on a number of films, wrote in Tamil,"Indru nam piranthanaal Vaazhthukalai yaerka anbu nanbar Bharathirajaa nammidaiyae illaiyenninum, avar padaipukkal irrukindrana. Avar paratiya natpai en nenjam negizhndu ninaivukoorugiradhu. (Today, our dear friend Bharathirajaa is not among us to accept our birthday wishes. However, his creations are there. My heart fondly remembers our friendship which he celebrated.)"

For the unaware, legendary director Bharthiraja passed away on June 10 this year, a month before his birthday on July 17.

The Padma Shri Award winner, who was considered to be a trendsetter in Tamil and Indian cinema, had been battling health issues for sometime.

Known for showcasing the rural Tamil lifestyle with flair on screen with his movies, many of which dealt with societal problems, Bharathirajaa, whose opening lines 'En Iniya Tamil Makkale...' are popular in Tamil Nadu to this day, was known for his brilliant direction and his ability to spot new talent.

The ace director, who has won six National Awards, won the Tamil Nadu government's state award for best direction for his very first film, '16 Vayathinile', which featured Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and Sridevi in the lead.

Born to Periya Mayathevar and Meenakshi Ammal alias Karuthammal on July 17, 1941 in Alli Nagaram in Theni district, Bharathirajaa was originally named Chinnasamy. The director, who has directed around 44 films in his illustrious career, has delivered several cult classics including the Sivaji Ganesan-starrer 'Mudhal Mariyadhai', 'Mann Vasanai', 'Pudhumai Penn', 'Vedham Pudhithu', 'Kizhakku Cheemaiyile', 'Karuthamma' and 'Naadodi Thendral'.

Apart from directing, Bharathirajaa was also a brilliant actor. He made his debut as an actor in Kallukkul Eeram and then went on to act in a number of movies including Nizhalgal, Dhaavani Kanavugal, Idhayam, Aayudha Ezhuthu, Rettai Suzhi, Pandiya Naadu, Seethakaadhi, Maanaadu, Eeswaran, and Thiruchitrambalam.

Starring Vaibhav in the lead role, 'Maaruvesham' will be a gripping family-based classical whodunit murder mystery thriller. It will be layered with suspense, emotional conflicts, and edge-of-the-seat moments.

Sources say the film will revolve around Thilak, a cop played by Vaibhav, whose fascination for solving mysteries gets him into the police force.

For the unaware, the makers had earlier announced that film would release on September 11. More significantly, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has now cleared the film for release with an 'A' certificate.

Director Ajay Gnanamuthu, who took to his social media timelines to share the updates, wrote, "The darkness is back. #DemonteColony3 Officially Censored 'A'. Not for the faint-hearted. Brace yourself. The darkness returns on September 10."

The makers of the film had, in April this year, announced that shooting for the film had been wrapped up.

Producer Sudhan Sundaram of Passion Studios had then said, “A director’s craftsmanship is not merely defined by narrative finesse or technical prowess, but equally by the discipline and commitment to deliver a project within its stipulated timeframe. 'Demonte Colony 3' has been mounted on an expansive scale."

"The film has been shot across diverse international and domestic locations, including Portugal, Malta, Leh–Ladakh, and Chennai. Given the magnitude of its star cast and technical ensemble, completing the production within schedule could have proven exceedingly arduous for any filmmaker. I was, in fact, prepared to extend both the shooting timeline and the budget, having been thoroughly captivated by the manner in which the film was taking shape. Nevertheless, director Ajay Gnanamuthu demonstrated exemplary discipline and punctuality, ensuring that the entire shoot was wrapped as planned within 80 days,” he informed.

Sources close to the unit say that the film, which features an ensemble cast including J.D. Chakravarthy, Lal, Radhika Sarathkumar, Saran Shakthi, Bala Saravanan, Smeha, Kaali Venkat, Jaffer Sadiq, and Mime Gopi in pivotal roles, will seek to bring the unseen world of smuggling and Customs enforcement to the big screen.

Not only has Samaya Murali written and directed the film, he has also composed the film’s background score.

For the unaware, an officer of the 2008 batch of the Indian Revenue Service, T. Samaya Murali has served extensively in Customs Enforcement and Indirect Taxation. A B.Tech graduate from NIT Tiruchirappalli, he was honoured with the World Customs Organization Certificate of Merit in 2021 for his exemplary public service.

Speaking about the film, director T. Samaya Murali said, "'Enemy of the Smuggler' is a fictional story that has been inspired by several real Customs cases that I have investigated during my career. Through this film, I wanted to present the high-stakes world of smuggling, organised crime and Customs enforcement in a gripping cinematic format while creating greater public awareness about the crucial role played by the Customs Department in protecting the nation's economic security."

The story follows Amar and Dheena, two youngsters from the slums of Chennai who work for a Customs agent, dreaming of escaping poverty. Their lives take a dangerous turn when they join notorious smuggling kingpin Lingam for their first major assignment: to clear a huge consignment of drugs through a Gujarat Port.

The consignment, shipped from Dubai by cartel boss Mathew Bhai, depends entirely on forged documentation. With a relentless Customs officer closing in, the duo finds itself caught in a deadly web of bribery, betrayal, and organized crime. What happens next is what the film is all about.

Viyana plays the female lead, while the ensemble cast includes Ramki, Munishkanth, Vivek Prasanna, Livingston, George Mariyan, George Vijay, Indhumathi, Mu Ramasamy and Cell Murugan in pivotal roles.

Sources close to the unit of the film say that the film's plot will revolve around old cameras.

For the unaware, the makers of the film had only recently announced that the shooting for the film had been wrapped up. Sources say that a giant set was erected for the purpose of shooting this film and that the entire film was shot in it.

Sources also claim that actor, director and producer Vijay Antony, who saw some scenes from this film, was impressed and that he had congratulated the director of the film.

On the technical front, the film will have cinematography by Sridhar Subramani. Music for the film has been scored by Anand Kashinath while editing for the film is being done by well known editor N B Srikanth.

Costumes for this film have been designed by Srinisha Balaji and stunts in the film have been choreographed by Ram Kumar. The songs in the film will have lyrics by Adhesh Krishna and Eshwar Santhanalakshmi.

Sun Pictures, which is producing the film, took to its social media timelines to make the announcement. It wrote, "#DC is certified 'A'. Releasing in theatres worldwide from August 7!"

For the unaware, the film was originally scheduled to hit screens a week earlier on July 31.

The film has triggered huge expectations among fans and film buffs as this film will mark the acting debut of director Lokesh Kanakaraj.

A special promo for the film that was released on the occasion of Valentine's Day this year gave away the fact that Lokesh Kanakaraj plays a character called Devadas in the film, while Wamiqa Gabbi plays a character called Chandra and actress Sanjana A K plays a character called Parvathi.

The video released was on similar lines to the title teaser of the film, which the makers released last year. The promo appeared to lend credibility to rumours that this film would be a gangster drama.

The promo starts off with Parvathi approaching a mike to but is unable to speak or sing. We then see Chandra putting on make up in what appears to be a house of ill repute. There are scenes that show Devadas and Parvathi having a conversation and Devadas consoling Chandra. The promo also has some grim visuals. Devadas is seen slitting the throat of an injured man and severing the head of another. The video ends with Devadas and Chandra getting away in a car.

The film has dialogues by Arun Matheswaran and Franklin Jacob with additional screenplay by Arun Ranjan.

Music for the film is by Anirudh and cinematography is by Mukesh G. Editing for the film is by G K Prasanna and art direction by Kannan S.

For the unaware, Lokesh Kanakaraj had undergone martial arts training for this film. Lokesh underwent martial arts training in Thailand for this film soon after he directed Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Coolie', which hit screens worldwide on August 14 last year.

Taking to his social media timelines, he had then said, "We’ve poured our hearts into #Fauzi to give you something truly special. Humbly requesting everyone, please don’t spoil the magic with leaks. Let’s experience it the way it’s meant to be… together in theatres."

At that point, the makers of the film, using the official handle of the film on the social media platform X, issued a stern warning to those accounts that were circulating the leaked images of the film.

The makers had then said, "It has come to our attention that certain accounts are circulating leaked images from the sets of #Fauzi. Please treat this as a strict warning - any such content will be reported, and necessary action will be taken against those involved."

The makers had further said, "These leaks compromise the experience we are carefully building. What’s coming on the big screen will be far bigger and worth the wait. We urge everyone to refrain from sharing or engaging with leaked content."

For the unaware, director Hanu Raghavapudi's upcoming historical action film, featuring actor Prabhas in the lead, was titled 'Fauzi'. While announcing the title of the film, the makers had used Sanskrit Shlokas.

G V Prakash, had, only in May this year, announced that shooting for the film had been wrapped up.

Sources had said that the makers were initially intending to release the film in May this year. However, they then chose July 23 as the release date of the film. Now, circumstances have forced the makers to push the release of the film to September 4.

The film has been eagerly awaited ever since the makers released a chilling and entertaining teaser of the film last year.

Sharing the teaser on his X timeline, G V Prakash Kumar had then said, "Here is #Immortal teaser for all of u … the mystery world unveils now .. @11Lohar @AKfilmfactory #maarichinna."

The teaser begins on a funny romantic note. It has G V Prakash, who is a die hard romantic, having a conversation with a friend. He says, "Imagine how it would be if a handsome guy like me and a very beautiful girl stayed in the same house." The friend replies, "It would be jealousy-inducing." To this, G V Prakash gleefully says, "It must."

The teaser then shows G V Prakash having a conversation with actress Kayadu Lohar in a flat that looks exactly like the one he was seen talking about a while ago to his friend.

"If I ask you something, will you mistake me," he asks her and she shoots back, saying, "You will anyway ask something that is wrong."

The teaser makes it evident that G V Prakash's character in the film is romantically interested in the character that Kayadu Lohar plays. He tells her, "My room has a lot of mosquito problems" to which she replies, "Mine has problems caused by bats. Is it alright?"

It is then that the horror phase starts. He wakes up in the middle of the night and looks through the keyhole, only to find a beast with the face of a bat!

The film, apart from G V Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar, also features a host of actors including TM Karthik, Kumar Natarajan, Lollu Sabha Maaran, Aaditya Kathir, Arshu Maharjan, Pema Tsamchoe and Sunita Shrestha.

The actress has now put out videos of her attempting to sing some of the iconic chartbusters sung by the legend as a small tribute to the great playback singer who recently passed away in Mysuru after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Taking to her Instagram page to post the videos of her singing the legendary singer's songs, Shivani Narayanan wrote, "No formal training, just pure admiration for the Nightingale of the South."

Shivani announced, "I am not a professionally trained singer, but my love for Janaki Amma’s magical voice always inspires me to try. Growing up listening to Janaki Amma’s divine voice taught me how to feel music. This is just a small, heartfelt attempt. Singing her track is incredibly challenging because her vocal modulation is perfection, but I couldn’t resist trying out of sheer love and respect."

The actress said that the void left by the legend was irreplaceable, but that her music was an eternal comfort.

Shivani concluded her post, saying,"A golden voice has fallen silent, but her melodies will echo forever,"

For the unaware, legendary singer and four-time National Award winner S Janaki, who has rendered over a whopping 48,000 songs in several Indian languages, passed away at a private hospital in Mysuru on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest.

She was 88.

The Apollo BGS Hospitals in Mysuru, where she was admitted on Saturday afternoon, issued a statement soon after her demise.

In its statement, the hospital said, "Mrs. S. Janaki was admitted to Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, on 11 July 2026 at 12:49 PM. On admission, her condition was critical, and she was immediately evaluated and shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for further management."

The hospital informed that despite intensive medical care and continuous monitoring by a multidisciplinary team, the veteran singer suffered a cardiac arrest during the course of treatment.

"Advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was initiated immediately in accordance with standard medical protocols. Despite resuscitative efforts, she experienced multiple cardiac arrests and could not be revived.

Mrs. S. Janaki was declared deceased at 7:30 PM on 11 July 2026."

Amaravati, July 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan was discharged from a Mumbai hospital, where he underwent surgery on his right shoulder, on Wednesday.

According to the Deputy Chief Minister’s office, he will be arriving in Hyderabad, where he will take rest at his residence.

Physiotherapy will begin after three weeks as per doctors' advice.

The Jana Sena chief underwent surgery on his right shoulder at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on July 11.

Doctors have advised him to start physiotherapy after three weeks. According to doctors, it will take four months for the operated shoulder to return to normal condition.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on July 12 visited Pawan Kalyan at the hospital and wished him a full and speedy recovery.

“Doctors are advising that he needs to rest for three weeks, followed by physiotherapy. He is having a problem in the other shoulder, for which doctors are advising physiotherapy. After six months, they will evaluate and suggest a further course of action," Naidu had said.

The hospital had said in a health bulletin that Pawan Kalyan was diagnosed with a right shoulder rotator cuff injury, comprising an extensive tear of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendon with an associated avulsion fracture of the greater tuberosity bone.

He underwent successful arthroscopic repair of the injury. According to the health bulletin, the surgery was performed by Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, Director-Arthroscopy & Shoulder Service. The surgery was uneventful, and he was comfortable and recovering well.

“Following a period of rest and recovery, Mr Pawan Kalyan will undergo a structured shoulder rehabilitation programme, with an expected full recovery of shoulder function over the next four months,” added the bulletin.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited Pawan Kalyan at the hospital on July 13. He inquired about his health and wished him a speedy recovery.

Taking to his X timeline to pen his thoughts on why he thought censorship was unnecessary, Ram Gopal Varma said, "Censoring films actually is an insult to the audiences. In an era of smartphones, global streaming, and access to infinite information, to pretend that a government appointed committee (What is the qualification of its members ?) can shield adults from the film makers' perspective of any truth is not only outdated, but it’s also idiotic."

He went on to say, "Here’s the fundamental hypocrisy… If an adult is mature enough to vote for the leader of the country, raise families, run businesses, why the hell can’t they decide for themselves what to watch?"

Pointing out that while on the one hand, the government was trusting adults with the ballot, which shapes the future of more than a billion people, it was at on the other hand, thinking that a scene in a film might spoil them.

"That’s not safeguarding society but infantilizing it…," the director observed and went on to add, "An 18-year-old can choose the leader, but needs some random committee member to decide if hearing a cuss word or watching a shot is corruptive."

Stating that a movie was dramatic storytelling from the perspective of a film maker and that it was the viewers prerogative to agree or disagree, Ram Gopal Varma said, "Cutting a scene for theatrical release is laughable because the uncut version will hits torrents, Telegram, and all international platforms within hours."

"Case in point is the head banging scene in OBSESSION which after the censors cut it, must have been seen by 10 times more people on Insta reels than who actually watched the film in the theatres," he said.

Claiming that censorship doesn't hide content but that it actually creates more demand, Ram Gopal Varma said, in times of AI tools and borderless Internet, gatekeeping was a joke.

"Forcing trims on language, sensuality, violence, or ideology turns cinema into a dishonest and hypocritical slop. When everyone including children can binge watch brutal news and unlimited online extremes, how come only cinematic moments trigger bans?," he asked.

Censorship wasn't about protecting values because cinema’s s job was also to reflect one’s perception of an issue, which is what created debate, the foundation of democracy, he said and added that censor ship primarily assumed that adults were children who needed to be parented by some government appointed committees.

"It’s not cuts what we need, but it’s to be clear what the film contains , and then have respect for the audience to decide for themselves to watch or not," he said.

"I think all producers and directors should stop crawling on their knees before a non-thinking, uncreative agenda oriented bureaucracy that understands neither art nor audiences while they give arbitrary cuts," he opined.

Stating that every time the industry accepted cuts, negotiated “compromises,” or did self censoring to avoid trouble, Ram Gopal Varma said they emboldened those so-called gatekeepers and weakened the entire ecosystem by making the entire industry a soft target.

"I think it’s time for the industry to come together to challenge the very existence of the censor board in its present form, both in courts and public discourses. Democracy demands free expression and in a connected world, isolating and mutilating cinema is not just being blind and deaf … it is actually suicidal for our growth. #BanTheCensor," he wrote.

Nandi went on to add,"They work through dust, fire, smoke, and extreme conditions. The only words they wait to hear are, “Action”… and they give their absolute best without hesitation. A heartfelt salute to every junior artiste who poured their energy, dedication, and passion into #Bhogi."

The director told his junior artistes, "You may not always be in the spotlight, but you are the heartbeat of every frame. Thank you. #sharwasampathbloodfest #bhogishoot."

For the unaware, the unit is shooting the film's intense climax sequence on a massive set specially erected for the purpose.

Sources close to the unit of the film had told IANS some days ago that the team had begun shooting a high-voltage emotional action climax on a massive set specially erected by art director Kiran Kumar Manne.

The sequence has been designed and choreographed by stunt master Dilip Subbarayan in a never-before-seen style, aiming to deliver a gripping theatrical experience.

Sources claimed Sharwanand would be seen pushing the envelope with intense, high-risk stunt work in this crucial climax episode. The schedule, sources point out, had been planned for 20 days as the unit was looking to complete this pivotal portion of the film.

Already, the makers of the film have released the first looks of actresses Anupama Parameswaran as Kandula Sulochana Rani and Dimple Hayathi as Mandaram in the film.

Sources had said that Sulochana (the character Anupama plays in the film) will be a spirited person who is deeply rooted in nature. Earning her livelihood by crafting leaf plates from Moduga leaves, the “Flame of the Forest” Sulochana would embody both resilience and quiet strength in the film.

Mandaram (the character Dimple Hayathi plays in the film), the sources had disclosed, will be a bold and powerful character who simply does not care for the world.

The makers had revealed on actor Sharwanand's birthday that he played a character called Ganga in the eagerly awaited action thriller.

Set in the early 1960s, 'Bhogi' is a pulsating period action drama unfolding in a fictional village along the borders of Telangana and Maharashtra.

On the technical front, the project boasts an accomplished crew. Production design is by Kiran Kumar Manne, cinematography is by Kishore Kumar Arokia, and music is by Bheems Ceciroleo.

Planned as a pan-India release, the movie will hit the big screens in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi on August 28, coinciding with the festive occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Going on to explain what he meant by that, Vijay Sethupathi said, "Mysskin announced a reward of Rs 1000 to the best technician and the best junior artiste on set each day. Just to win the award, everybody worked really well. The money part of it was only secondary. The manner in which that money was presented made all the difference."

He explained, "One day, I would present it to the best technician and the junior artiste, on another day, the film's heroine would present it to the technician and junior artiste picked as the best on that day. Picking the winners and acknowledging their work on stage gave the winners great happiness. Every day, the set of the film would appear like the stage put up for a festival."

He went on to say, "Mysskin is someone who observes everyone around him. He treats everybody with kindness. He is someone who willingly shares -- be it knowledge or kindness -- with others."

Already, the makers of the film have confirmed that the film will release in August this year.

A teaser released by the makers earlier shows Steven Sankar and Nivi having a conversation at a beach. Nivi asks Steven Sankar if he has watched the film 'Baby' and praises the way they have portrayed first love in it. She says that if one's first love fails, life turns into hell. She says an individual's first love is pure and that there is an element of truth in it, seeking to suggest that all other love affairs that happen after it aren't as honest or pure.

Steven Sankar responds to her argument saying, "If first love is the only one that is pure and honest, shouldn't all our love stories stop with our mothers. For isn't every individual's first love his/her mother?" Stating that there are several iconic love stories in history, Steven Sankar points out that for the protagonists of such stories, the love story for which they became famous wasn't their first love. He says that if one's first love fails for some reason, one's best love is about to start somewhere else.

Apart from directing the film, Ravi Namburii has also penned its screenplay. The film's story is by Sai Rajesh, who is also one of the producers of the film.

The film is being produced by SKN under the banners of Mass Movie Makers and Amrutha Productions. The film is being co-produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni.

When asked if there were special words from his dad Nagarjuna after it became evident that the film was a success, Akhil replied, "No, I think there were no special words. It was just one special hug that was exchanged."

But that should have made all that trouble worth it? The actor replied, "Absolutely. It's always worth it. As long as your honest attempt is appreciated -- See, we work for the audience. We work for them to digest our content, enjoy our content. So, at the end of it, when they have, what else can I ask for? It's the ideal scenario for me. I'm full of gratitude, but no, I'm not jumping in the air yet. I have a long way to go."

Akhil is happy that the film is well on its way to becoming a blockbuster what has pleased the actor more is the fact that his film's distributors have broken even within the first three days of the film's release.

Several people liked the clarification put out by the actress. Notable among those who liked it was actress Manju Warrier.

It may be recalled that Bhavana's most recent film to hit the screens, 'Anomie', was in the news for its sound design earlier this year.

The makers of director Riyas Marath's Malayalam crime thriller 'Anomie', which hit screens worldwide in the first week of February this year, had claimed that Anomie was India's first film to use the sound design software Sound Particles.

The film's official handle on Instagram posted a video clip of an interview of actress Bhavana in which she had said, "In this movie, they have used the sound design software called Sound Particles. It is the first time in India that we are using it in a movie. They have used it in movies like 'Weapons', 'Dune', 'Oppenheimer'. They (the sound particles team) have officially confirmed it. 'Anomie' is definitely a theatrical experience."

Taking to his Instagram page to pen a fitting tribute to one of India's iconic playback singers, Devi Sri Prasad wrote, "Words can not justify the greatness of this legend S Janaki amma. Only her songs can."

He went on to recall a particular incident with the great singer on the occasion. He wrote, "Once I had a great blessing of holding her hand and walking her down a stage. She said, ' I love your song ‘KEVV KEKA’. Though is is supposed to be an item song, what a lovely melody it has got.' That gave me goosebumps."

Stating that her childlike innocence and extremely non-judgemental love and respect towards music was just DIVINE, Devi Sri Prasad observed that Janaki amma was the most versatile female singer who did a 1000 per cent justice to whichever song she sang.

He concluded the post saying, "Thank You dearest Janaki Amma. You will live forever in our hearts."

For the unaware, legendary singer and four-time National Award winner S Janaki, who has rendered over a whopping 48,000 songs in several Indian languages, passed away at a private hospital in Mysuru on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest.

She was 88.

The Apollo BGS Hospitals in Mysuru, where she was admitted on Saturday afternoon, issued a statement soon after her demise.

In its statement, the hospital said, "Mrs. S. Janaki was admitted to Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, on 11 July 2026 at 12:49 PM. On admission, her condition was critical, and she was immediately evaluated and shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for further management."

The hospital informed that despite intensive medical care and continuous monitoring by a multidisciplinary team, the veteran singer suffered a cardiac arrest during the course of treatment.

"Advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was initiated immediately in accordance with standard medical protocols. Despite resuscitative efforts, she experienced multiple cardiac arrests and could not be revived.

Mrs. S. Janaki was declared deceased at 7:30 PM on 11 July 2026."

Train, which is being produced by V Creations and directed by Mysskin, will feature a host of stars including Nasser, Shruti Haasan, Yugi Sethu, Narain, KS Ravikumar, Sampath Raj, Kalaiyarasan, Ira Dayanand and Preethy Karan.

The film has cinematography by Fowzia Fathima and music by Mysskin himself.

Interestingly, Narain in a post on social media last year had released pictures of himself on the sets of Train. The pictures revealed that he was playing a police officer in the film. The disclosure led to speculation if whether Mysskin was attempting to build a Mysskin Cinematic Universe with Train. The reason for the speculation was that Narain had also played the role of a cop in Mysskin’s superhit film ‘Anjaathey’. However, there has been no confirmation regarding this.

Chennai, July 14 (SocialNews.XYZ) Pointing out that her grandmother, the legendary playback singer S Janaki amma, had taught her to understand that love does not end when a life does, Apsara Vydyula, the grand daughter of the iconic singer has asked people not to measure her love for her grandmother by the tears they did or did not see.

Taking to her Instagram page to pen a heartfelt post about how some people were judging her over the past few days, the great singer's granddaughter wrote, "My grandmother’s favourite person in the world was my elder sister, Varsha. They were so alike. They understood each other in a way that words could never fully explain. They were, in every sense, made for each other."

She went on to say, "I don’t want the world to forget that Varsha is the one who should have been standing where I am today, taking care of our grandmother and doing everything that now falls upon me. She passed away in August 2023, and our family will never truly recover from that loss. Grief doesn’t disappear. It simply becomes something you learn to carry for the rest of your life. The only comfort I find is knowing that they are together again."

Apsara then said, "Over the past few days, I have seen people question my grief because they do not see tears in my eyes. Please don’t measure my love for my grandmother by the tears you do or do not see. We were taught, especially by her, to understand death from a deeply spiritual place. She taught us that love does not end when a life does. My experiences have made me stronger than I ever wished I had to be. Grief is not always loud. Sometimes it is quiet, steady and deeply personal."

Stating that being in the public eye often meant living with rumours, speculation and stories that others created about one's life, Apsara said, "It can be painful to watch people form opinions about a family they have never truly known. I want people to know who my grandmother really was. She was gentle, kind, deeply humble and completely free of judgement. She saw the good in everyone. Varsha was exactly the same."

She added, "What they shared, more than anything else, was an infectious childlike spirit. They carried wonder into every room they entered, and almost everyone who met them loved them instantly. They are together now.And somehow, that thought brings me peace."

Taking to his social media timelines, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, whose V Creations is producing the film, wrote, "The journey begins!

The high octane 43-second teaser shows a speeding train under the control of some vicious people. Scared passengers fearing for their lives look on as one man (Vijay Sethupathi) wages a lone battle. It's evident from the teaser that the train, which resembles a speeding monster, is not halting at any station that it is scheduled to stop at. More significantly, those who seem to have taken control of the train seem to have come well prepared. What is their mission? Who are these people? And who importantly is the person trying to take them on? Like all other Mysskin thrillers, 'Train' too promises to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller.

The film has been eagerly awaited, ever since the makers chose to release a a brief Behind the scenes video clip to celebrate actor Vijay Sethupathi’s birthday last year.

Producer Thanu, while releasing this BTS video, wrote in Tamil, “To younger brother Vijay Sethupathi, may your birthday be a day for the poor to rise. May you live like the good language Tamil that is praised by all four land forms (forests, fields, mountains and oceans). To make this day even more special, here is a small teaser from Train.”
