Mumbai, May 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of the late actor Rishi Kapoor, arrived in Mumbai from New Delhi on Saturday night by road to be with her mother Neetu Kapoor and brother Ranbir Kapoor. Riddhima did not get permission to fly down due to the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown, and could not be in Mumbai on time to attend her father's last rites.

Riddhima came along with her daughter Samara.

" Papa I love you I will always love you-RIP my strongest warrior I will miss you every day I will miss your FaceTime calls every day," Riddhima wrote on Instagram while sharing a selfie with her father.

"I wish I could be there to say goodbye to you ! Until we meet again papa I love you - your Mushk forever," she concluded with a heart and distraught emoji.

Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on Thursday morning after battling with cancer. The last rites were performed at around 4 pm in the city's Chandanwadi crematorium.

On April 30, a study by SEMrush found that fans posted 6,214 tweets on hashtag rishikapoor. Other hashtags, which were used included rishi_kapoor, riprishikapoor, riprishikapoorji, and riplegend. On these hashtags, fans tweeted 1,040 times, 995 times, 564 times, and 475 times respectively. A total of 14,394 tweets were posted about Rishi Kapoor on the day of his death.

The study further shared that the most used emoji was one expressing utter shock. 2,988 people used it. The second most used emoji was a broken heart. The third most used emoji was of a crying face with massive tears falling out of each eye. This emoji was used 961 times.

The fourth most used emoji was a tearful face with a single tear falling from the left eye. It was used 630 times. The fifth and sixth most used emojis were a bouquet and a broken black heart. Each emoji was used 556 and 484 times, respectively.

Speaking about the results, Mr. Fernando Angulo, Head of Communication, SEMrush said: "The news of Rishi Kapoor's passing away was an unbelievable loss for entire Indian film industry. He was the true boy-next-door with a killer smile and dapper attire... While Rishi Kapoor will certainly be missed, his huge body of work remains and will ensure the actor continues to entertain audiences for generations to come".

Mumbai, May 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan has paid a tribute to his friend and departed colleague Rishi Kapoor, by sharing a recreated classic that was used in "102 Not Out", their last film together that released in 2018.

Big B took to his social media accounts, where he shared a lyrical music video from the Umesh Shukla directorial, which recreated the classic song "Waqt ne kiya kya haseen sitam" in his voice.

The original Geeta Dutt classic, for Guru Dutt's 1959 film "Kagaz Ke Phool", was composed by SD Burman and written by Kaifi Azmi. The recreation for the 2018 film was done by composers Rohan-Vinayak. The recreated version for "102 Not Out" was crooned by Big B himself.

"Waqt.. Waqt ne kiya kya haseen sitam .. Tum rahe na tum, hum rahe na hum." he captioned the video.

The black-and-white video uses Big B and Rishi Kapoor's avatars from "102 Not Out" for visuals, and runs for five minutes and 16 seconds. In the dramedy, Kapoor essayed the 76-year-old son of a 102-year-old man, played by Bachchan.

In their heydays, Amitabh Bachchan had worked with Rishi Kapoor in many hit films. They co-starred memorably in "Kabhi Kabhie" (1976), "Amar Akbar Anthony" (1977), "Naseeb" (1981), "Coolie" (1983), and "Ajooba" (1991).

In the video that has been doing the rounds of social media, intensive care unit staff can be seen sneakily recording as the veteran actor struggles.

Reacting to such forwarded video clip, several celebrities including Arjun Kapoor, Karan Wahi and Mini Mathur called out the hospital for staff negligence.

Without mentioning the particular leaked video, Arjun wrote: "The choice is not to post something is sometimes as important as to be the first to post something. Images have a lot of power lest we forget.

"Sometimes humanity and empathy must prevail over being first to embrace use of sly voyeuristic material presented to you."

Actor Karan Wahi admitted that he too saw the video and decided to delete it immediately, rather than share it among others as he found it disturbing.

Karan said: "There's a forward that a ward boy or someone from the hospital has shot of Rishi Kapoor in his hospital just before he passed. I saw it. And think it's a gross violation of his privacy. If you receive it, delete it rather than forward it further."

He added: "Actors are also human beings. Please do not forward or post them just to be the first one. Have some respect."

Actress-anchor Mini Mathur urged people to "stop the insensitivity".

She tweeted: "Just came across a disgusting, completely invasive video of Rishi sir on WhatsApp in hospital actually titled "last video of RK" obviously shot by a hospital staff member.I know humanity is at sea at the moment but can we PLEASE STOP THIS INSENSITIVITY and not be party to this?"

Mini also tagged Mumbai Police to take strict actions against the offender.

"If you see a video like this on any group can you please insist that it's taken down??? Can we stop this vicarious celeb goggling even when they are indisposed and unaware? It should be a legal offence @MumbaiPolice and met with the strictest action," Mini added.

Rishi Kapoor breathed his last at HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday. He was battling cancer since 2018.

A Facebook post on the hospital's official page reads: "A message from Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital's management. #RespectForLife.

"It has come to our attention that a video of one of our patients is surfacing on digital media platforms. At Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, patient confidentiality and privacy is of utmost importance to us and we strongly condemn such actions. The hospital management is investigating the incident and strict action will be taken against the perpetrators."

Rishi Kapoor passed away on Thursday morning, and numerous videos featuring his mortal remains started doing the rounds on social media the afternoon onwards.

In one video, the late actor's son Ranbir Kapoor along with priests can be seen offering obeisance to his remains even as he lies in hospital bed. In another, the body is being taken out on a stretcher and boarded to a van for the crematorium. Many other similar videos have mushroomed.

While a section of the netizens is circulating these videos, many have accused the hospital of irresponsible behaviour, saying this amounts to invasion of privacy. Several netizens have questioned the morality of hospital staff, assuming they shot the videos since there is no question of outsiders amid the lockdown.

Mumbai, May 1 (SocialNews.XYZ) On January 9, 2018, producer Honey Trehan along with debutant director Hitesh Bhatia reached at the residence of Rishi Kapoor for a script-narration of their upcoming film, "Sharmaji Namkeen". The legendry actor is excited on hearing the script, he decides to sign the film.

"I am that youngster who watched, admired and loved Rishiji on-screen. There are several films that I call my favourite, and 'Chandni' always topped the list. So it was nostalgia and excitement rolled into one when I went to narrate the film and cast him in the project," recalled Honey, one of the producers of the film along with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, while speaking to IANS.

Trehan recalls that Kapoor fell sick within a few days after the start of shooting, and he flew to the US for his treatment.

"We stopped the film and waited for him to come back. He is the DNA of the film and we cannot imagine anyone else to play Sharmaji. They stayed in touch with him and he was so eager to come back and get on to the film set. So naturally, when things started rolling, his energy and high professionalism were driving us," said the producer.

After Kapoor returned to India, shooting was scheduled to resume on January 15, 2020, in Delhi. Unfortunately Kapoor lost his sister Ritu Nanda, and on January 14 had to travel to Delhi to attend to his family amid emotional crisis.

Keeping the situation in mind, the producers decided to reschedule the shooting.

"However Rishiji said, 'bakwas maat karo, what happened is personal but work is my profession. I am equally responsible for both. The show must go on. This is what my father taught me'. You see, under such circumstances where he lost his sister, he did not forget the high professional value that he learnt from Raj Kapoor saab. Rishi sir knew that the responsibility of the film is on his shoulder as he played the title role of the film. He knew that the unit will suffer if we stop the shooting and there comes his spirit and energy to encourage us saying, 'the show must go on, mujhe call time bataao'," Trehan recalled.

Remembering the affectionate nature of the legendry actor, he added: "On January 15 in the Delhi winter, our call time was 9 am. When I reached the set around 8:45 am, I find him ready -- not even sitting in his vanity but standing there, on the set! He smiled at me saying, 'Tu T-shirt pehna hai, thand nehi lagti? Jacket kyun nahin pehna?' That's Rishi Kapoor for you. Loving, affectionate towards everyone around him."

"Sharmaji Namkeen" also features Juhi Chawla.

Does he feel the pressure of the fact that this will be counted as Rishi Kapoor's last film? "A film with Rishi Kapoor is always special. But this one is 'sadly' special, and this is not why a film should be special. Hitesh and I are really not in the frame of mind to think about how we will finish the film. We need time. We are sad, deeply sad" Honey signed off.

The punchline on the ad reads: "Aap kisise kum naheen", a nod to his popular 1977 release, "Hum Kisise Kum Naheen", which went onto become a musical superhit.

Amul's tribute left netizens enthralled and emotional.

Among numerous fans who loved it was actress Alia Bhatt, good friend of Rishi Kapoor's son Ranbir Kapoor. She shared a picture of the ad on her Instagram story and captioned it with a red heart emoji.

She took to social media to pen a tribute to her father, who died on Thursday morning after a two-year-long battle with leukemia,.

Amitabh took to his blog and wrote: "I had seen him at his home Deonar Cottage, Chembur, a young energetic, bubbly, mischief in his eyes Chintu, on those rare moments when I was privileged to have been invited to an evening at Rajji's house..."

"I would see him more often after at RK Studios, when he trained as an actor for his film to be made, 'BOBBY '... a diligent enthusiastic youngster, ready to pounce onto every learning that came his way, in that famous large and legendary make up room, of Rajji at the end of the first floor corridor of makeup rooms."

Amitabh shared that Rishi had a walk that was "confident and determined".

"A stride and style that was similar to that of his grandfather, the legendary Prithvi Rajji .. a walk I had noticed in one of his earlier films .. that walk .. I never found it in any other .."

Amitabh, who worked with Rishi in films like "Amar Akbar Anthony", "Naseeb", "Kabhi Kabhie" and more recently in "102 Not Out", described his acting style.

"We worked in several films together... When he spoke his lines, you believed every word of it .. there was never an alternative .. its genuineness was beyond question ... And there has never been any other, that could lip sync a song as perfectly as he would .. never."

Amitabh wrote that Rishi's "playful attitude on set was infectious".

Even in the most grave sequences he would discover that comedic spark and we would all just crack up.. Not just on set .. if you were with him at any formal event, he would find that little distractive light hearted gem to expand on and lighten the situation .."

He added: "When there was a time lapse as the shot got readied during a shoot, he would bring out his playing cards or at times pull out his rather complicated Bagatelle board and invite others to play .. a competition .. not just for fun .. a serious competition .."

Big B shared that during the time of his treatment he never lamented about his condition. "During his time of diagnosis and his treatment he never ever lamented his condition .. it was always .. see you soon, just a routine visit to the Hospital .. I'll be back shortly a Joie de vivre .. the exuberant enjoyment of life, was a gene he inherited from his father .. the Legend, the Ultimate Showman, the Iconic Raj Kapoor..

"I never visited him in Hospital .. I never wanted to see distress on his smiling cherubic face .." He concluded: "But I am certain .. when he went, he must have gone with a gentle smile."

"As a young man entering the daunting world of films, I was insecure about the way I looked and afraid that I was not talented enough. The thought of failing meant nothing though, because even if I failed, I would have worked with the greatest actor I knew of - Rishi Sahib," SRK tweeted.

"On the first day of the shoot, he sat for my scene to finish after pack up, then with that famously radiant smile on his face he said "yaar tujhme energy bahut hair. That day in my head I became an actor! Few months ago I met him and thanked him for accepting me in that movie, he had no idea how he had encouraged me," he added.

Shah Rukh also mentioned how badly he will miss Rishi Kapoor's gesture of patting his head every time the two met.

"Few men have the capacity for grace as he did, fewer still have the large heartedness of feeling genuine happiness for the success of others. I will miss him for many things, but more than all of them, I will miss him for his gentle pat on my head every time we met. I will keep it in my heart always, as the 'Ashirwaad' that made me who I am today. Will miss you Sir, with love, gratitude and immense respect...forever," Shah Rukh wrote.

Along with the post, he also shared a still from "Deewana". Apart from "Deewana", SRK also shared screen space with Rishi Kapoor in a relatively unknown film of 1995 called "Jaadu", besides the 2012 release, "Jab Tak Hai Jaan".

Rishi Kapoor passed away at the age of 67 in Mumbai on Thursday. He was battling leukemia for the past two years.

Kohli also added that the late actor was loved across generations because of his honesty and sense of humour.

Growing up watching films like "Karz" and "Khel Khel Mein", it was a dream for Kunal to work with Rishi Kapoor on his debut film.

Recalling the first scene in which he directed the late actor, Kunal told IANS: "I was very excited and looking forward to the moment. We were shooting the scene in which Arjun (Rishi's character name in the film) throws away all the bags of his son Karan out of the house. I said 'cut' and then I told him that we want one more. He asked me, 'Why? What do you want that is missing in this shot?' I explained, 'I want you to smile after you close the door because you are actually not upset but fooling around with your son!'. Rishi ji looked at me and said, 'I am glad that you know exactly what you want. I usually get upset when the director doesn't have the clarity to ask something from the actor. Let's do it again'."

The director mentioned that Rishi Kapoor comes from the generation of actors where the director's used to be the final word.

"Rishi ji worked with legends like his father Raj Kapoor to Yash Chopra, Ramesh Talwar, and Manmohan Desai. So for him, clarity form director mattered."

Asked about casting Kapoor in his films, Kunal said: "I couldn't imagine anyone else but Rishiji to play Arjun Kapoor and Zulfikar (in 'Hum Tum' and 'Fanaa' respectively). I needed an actor like him to give life to these characters. Although I never worked with him, for 'Hum Tum' I wanted only him to play Arjun Kapoor, the father of the protagonist."

The late actor is not only loved by people of his generation but also youngsters.

"I think he is loved by generations because he was honest. And even he criticises, he tells you the truth. Yes, people say that he used to bully but he bullied with love. He had a different kind of sense of humour, and he had a heart of gold. He had that affection towards people!"

Juhi, who worked with the late actor in several films, including "Bol Radha Bol" (1992), "Rishta To Ho Aisa" (1992), "Ghar Ki Izzat "(1994) and "Eena Meena Deega" (1994), took to social media to mourn the death of Rishi Kapoor, sharing a few of her fond memories with him.

"Shocked!! Saddened beyond words! Devastated Can't believe it ... Not Chintuji ! I feel really really sad . I have many many memories of him ...I started working with him soon after QSQT in Kalpataruji's film Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, Ghar Ki Izzat was another of our films.

"At that time, being a newcomer, I would be overawed by his presence on the sets, as he was such a big star he was always such an effor-tless actor he barely rehearsed and the director was always happy with his very first take of a shot ! I'd be trembling and praying I didn't forget my dialogues in front of him and look foolish . He was always friendly, but a little detached . Everyday he'd work two shifts mostly, moving from studio to studio and always punctual. He had his own timing and he kept to that. I can't remember seeing any temper tantrum, he was super efficient with work and effortless," Juhi shared.

She also recalled how Rishi Kapoor used to make his cheeks pink by putting make-up on his face all by himself instead of waiting for make-up dada.

"Impatiently Chintuji would pick up the sponge dr rub it all over his face ..!! The pink of the cheeks got rubbed off along with the brown of the chiseling and everything would be mixed up on his face ..!!!Chintuji would ruffle or comb his hair and say alright .... I'm ready I would laugh and laugh cause Chintuji had just undone all Dadas efforts !! And Chintuji did this every time," Juhi wrote.

She also spoke about how Rishi Kapoor used to get annoyed with people who requested stars to get pictures clicked with their kids.

"Chintuji would get annoyed with fans who came to watch shooting with tiny children, and who would push their bawling children in front of us and say, ' Hamare bacche ko aapke saath photo leni hai'. Chintuji would say to us how do people do this, their children are frightened, have no clue who we are and their parents instead of saying , please may we have a picture with you, torment their children . He came up with a trick, when some such person would come and begin to say, 'Sir , please may I'. Chintuji with a straight face begin to speak formidable high sounding but meaningless english sentences, 'The Constitution of the American Confederacy will take punitive action against the lordship of the Universal intelligence inducing mankind's venerable position withholding classified information in toto .!!! and then with a straight s face conclude .. ' did you understand ..?!???? ' ... the hapless fan by now would be completely confused , gobsmacked , stammer and run for his life ...! as usual I was somewhere around , holding my sides with laughter," she recalled.

Juhi was shooting with Rishi Kapoor for the film "Sharmaji Namkeen" earlier this year in Delhi. The was Rishi Kapoor's film was the last one Kapoor shot for, and it marked the union of the two actors after almost a decade. They were last seen together in the 2009 film "Luck By Chance".

Sharing memories from Rishi Kapoor's last film, Juhi further said: "Due to Chintujis treatment , the shooting was postponed. The film was finally taken over by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar for production . In January this year I joined the crew in Delhi for the shooting . It was wonderful . The weather was beautiful, our shooting was on track. Chintuji was his amusing , happy , some-times grumpy , often chatty self . Just sometimes he would sit by himself in the sun , or looking into his phone preoccupied.

"We had a great time shooting , he was effortless , absolutely effortless in his shots . Always and I mean always after his shot , the director would shout a very satisfied spontaneous OKKKKK into the mike . I remember watching Chintuji during the shots on the monitor and almost enviously thinking to myself ... Chintuji is so nice ,just SO nice on screen .... it is not fair!"

"After my shots Hitesh, the director sometimes said a doubtful.. yes ... fine ... ok ...good . After most shots I would ask direction to replay my shots so I could see my look and performance , Chintuji would chide me saying ... You are such an insecure actor! What is this bad habit all you have, of going and looking at the monitor . The monitor is only for the director ... it's not meant for the actor ! Why do you allow all this Hitesh ! ?? And more often than not we all got a scolding , for some trivial thing or another .. and I'm telling you Chintuji 's scolding was always hilarious... I would be rolling with laughter while the director , Hitesh ,would try to reason with Chintuji . . So often I looked at our cinematographer and crew ,signaling, I hope someone is rolling the camera in between shots , the behind -the-scenes -goings- on are so funny we can make a movie from that footage itself," Juhi added.

Born in Bollywoods first family long before the industry was overrun by nepotism debates, Rishi Kapoor announced his arrival with a National Award as Best Child Artiste for his role in the 1970 gem, "Mera Naam Joker". Three years later when his father, showman Raj Kapoor, launched him as a hero in teenybopper romance "Bobby", he was the hottest young star in town. The chocolatebox hero was born.

Yet, Rishi was quietly reorganising his image with his roles -- at least as much as the restrictive commercial Hindi cinema of the seventies and the eighties would let him. He carved a unique comic style for himself ("Rafoo Chakkar", "Amar Akbar"Anthony") that was, quite unlike what worked back then, without over-the-top tendencies.

On screen, because matching up to action heroes such as Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmedra or Vinod Khanna in scripts primarily written for the machomen demanded lots of screen presence. Kapoor came up trumps every time, despite never losing his essential characteristic as a loverboy in films such as "Naseeb", "Coolie" or "Katilon Ke Kaatil".

Yet the multistarrer phase would pass, and by the late eighties it would be time for Rishi Kapoor to reinvent again.

There was a rough phase around this time. As the eighties were drawing to a close, a whole new generation of stars and directors moving in. An aging romantic hero doesn't find many takers in a fickle world as Bollywood. Rishi did what few expected him to -- he started signing up heroine-oriented projects in the later eighties through the early nineties, opposite top actresses of the era such as Sridevi ("Nagina", "Chandni"), Rekha ("Sheshnag","Azad Desh Ke Gulam"), Madhuri Dixit ("Yaarana"), and Juhi Chawla (Daraar").

Qualitatively, Bollywood had hit an unprecedented low in this era, and the sole criterion of success seemed to be visibility. These films, as well as the multistarrers that he continued doing, helped him stay in the limelight. Very few of his solo hero projects back then made any impact.

By the 2000s, having made a move into supporting role, Kapoor had taken to playing the daddy roles in films like "Yeh Hai Jalwa" and "Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi". An era in Bollywood had changed with the millennium, medium of infotainment was changing and, just when people started saying that playing the heroine's dad was the first sign of an actor's end, Rishi Kapoor sprung his most glorious twin surprises.

First, he reorganised his image. With the advent of the 2010s, Kapoor moved away from all things nice that had ever defined his image. As the sinister face of evil in "Agneepath" and "D-Day", he was suddenly reinventing villainy, in the same way he had redefined the hero all those years ago, arriving as the teen sensation in "Bobby".

But more interesting was Kapoor's reinvention off screen. He took to social media. When he joined Twitter in January of 2010, people expected just another wise old Bollywood star, who would spew niceties and knowledge. What they got was a firebrand who would take on any and everybody. Rishi Kapoor, always known to have spoken his mind, found a natural space to let off some steam. Sure, it got him trolled often, but it also did leave social media impressed with his guts.

That streak of guts defines everything he has ever lived for. It is something that resonates in his autobiography "Khullam Khulla" -- published in 2017. It is the guts that let the moviestar embrace career changes as smoothly as his mind and spirit took on the fight against cancer head-on.

A regular Thursday morning turned one of shock as the nation woke up to the news of Rishi Kapoor's death after a two-year-long battle with leukemia. And during such difficult time, Alia has been seen standing like a pillar with the Kapoor family.

From attending the funeral rites of Rishi Kapoor to consoling her good friend Ranbir and his mother Neetu Kapoor, Alia is surely acting as a major source of strength for them.

She even took out a moment to mourn the demise of Rishi Kapoor on social media. She posted an emotional note for him, saying he brought goodness in her life.

"What can I say. About this beautiful man... who brought soo much love and goodness into my life. Today, everyone speaks of the legend that is Rishi Kapoor... and though I've known him like that all my life... for the past two years I've known him as a friend, a fellow Chinese food lover, a total cinema lover, a fighter, a leader, a beautiful storyteller, an extremely passionate tweeter and a father!"

Alia has shared that she has received immense love from Rishi Kapoor over past two years.

"In these past two years the love I have received from him is like a warm hug that I will always cherish! I thank the universe for giving me this opportunity to know him... today probably most of us can say he is like family - because that's how he made you feel! Love you, Rishi Uncle! Will miss you forever! Thank you for being you," Alia penned.

Along with her post, she posted a picture of little Ranbir in the arms of Rishi Kapoor.

"Beautiful boys," she captioned the image.

Rishi's wife Neetu Kapoor reacted to the photograph by commenting red heart emojis on it.

Ahmednagar (Maharashtra), April 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) Popular Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 67, had a religious streak in him that made him hit the road frequently.

It was way back in October 2003 that an aide to Kapoor called up Rajendra Jondhale, the PRO and security chief of the world-renowned Shani Shingnapur Temple in Ahmednagar, saying the actor was planning to come for a 'darshan' after visiting the Shirdi temple of Saibaba.

"We decided to follow the traditions and the people of Shani Shingnapur gave him a rousing reception. He changed into a saffron 'dhoti' and a dark 'angavastram' as we escorted him to the open temple dedicated to Lord Shanidev Maharaj," Jondhale told IANS.

Since it was almost lunch time, Kapoor accepted Jondhale's invite and visited his residence in the village to join his family, sitting on the floor to enjoy a typical Maharashtrian vegetarian lunch.

"It was prepared by my wife Ujjwala, with our two minor sons -- Akshay, now an accountant who is married, and Gaurav who will soon join the Merchant Navy -- watching in excitement. Rishi Kapoor Sir enjoyed a hearty meal of 'methi-bhaji, bhakri, chutney and raw onions' with us," reminisced Jondhale.

"I briefed him about the temple history, how the entire village has no doors or locks and yet it is secure thanks to the blessings of Lord Shani Maharaj and other details, which he listened with great attention," he added.

Later, he went around the village in a casual T-shirt and Bermuda shorts as a large flock of children and youth trailed him like the Pied Piper.

As he prepared to leave, a local journalist, Vinayak Darandale, and others suggested that he could consider visiting the nearby Sonai village and join the traditional 'navratri' celebrations which are observed on a grand scale there.

"He readily agreed and we all started for Sonai. That evening, hundreds of thrilled locals welcomed him with cheers and claps, felicitated him on the stage with flowers, and he even addressed the gathering briefly in a mix of Hindi and Marathi," Darandale told IANS.

Unlike most celebrities who abhor or shun crowds, Rishi Kapoor would plunge headlong into such gatherings and spontaneously interact with the people without worries, instantly endearing himself to all.

"He was so impressed by the people of both the villages, the legends surrounding Shani Shingnapur and Sonai, besides the natural beauty that he made it a point to go there at least once every year. I believe the last trip he made here was around 4-5 years ago," Darandale said.

On hearing of the actor's untimely demise, Jondhale was rendered speechless at his new workplace, as the PRO of Bhadra Maruti Sansthan Temple in Khultabad, near Aurangabad.

A pall of gloom descended over Shani Shingnapur and Sonai with Darandale and others in both the villages in a mournful state.

Unable to move around due to the lockdown, they nevertheless recalled the actor's frequent visits and shared memories of his interactions with the commoners there.

This is not the first time that Cena has posted a picture of a Bollywood celebrity. During "Bigg Boss 13", he had taken to Instagram to post a picture of season contestant, model Asim Riaz.

Back then, too, Cena did not caption the picture.

Prior to that, he had shared a special video message for Shilpa Shetty Kundra's son and later dedicated a post on his Instagram for the actress.

Mumbai, April 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) The sudden demise of Irrfan Khan led to a huge surge in the online searches related to the noted actor.

Irrfan breathed his last early on Wednesday at the age of 54. He was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital with a colon infection earlier this week. However, unfortunately he succumbed to his ailment.

According to a SEMrush study, Irrfan's demise led to a massive increase in online searches for the actor.

In India, online searches for the actor increased by 6,900 per cent while globally, there was a surge of 6,200 per cent.

With projects like "Paan Singh Tomar", "Piku", "Talvar", "The Lunchbox", "Maqbool", and "7 Khoon Maaf", Irrfan carved a name for himself in Hindi cinema. He has gradually established himself in the West too. He featured in foreign films like "The Namesake", "Life of Pi", "A Mighty Heart", "Slumdog Millionaire',"The Amazing Spider-Man", "Inferno" and "Jurassic World".

The study found that since his death, there has been an outpouring of emotion in the virtual world. On Twitter, the top trends with which fans paid their respects were #irrfankhan, #ripirrfankhan, #ripirfankhan, #irrfan, #restinpiece, and #rip.

The number of tweets on these hashtags, respectively numbered 4073, 351, 341, 291, 255, and 163.

The most widely used emoji was one meant to convey shock -- it was used 1002 times. Other emojis, such as crying, were used to express extreme distress. The most emotive emoji- a face with tears -- was used 439 times. A less sad but mournful emoji was used 288 times.

Some fans used emojis like broken hearts and flowers to convey the loss they felt. On twitter, the broken heart and flowers emojis were used 389 and 198 times. Other emojis like a sad face, a black heart and shame were shared as well. Of these three emojis, each respectively was used 171, 157, and 26 times.

The study also pointed out that 45% of the sentiment expressed online about Irrfan was neutral, 33% was positive, and 21% was negative.

Talking about the study, Fernando Angulo, Head of Communications, SEMrush said: "We have lost an extraordinary personality... We have lost an accomplished actor and friend yet his memory will live on forever in the hearts of millions of his fans."

MOUSHUMI CHATTERJEE and RISHI KAPOOR were not just colleagues. They were neighbours and close buddies.

Mumbai, April 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) Chintu has been my friend, co-star, director and neighbour. I really have no words to express my sorrow and how I feel exactly. It is a great loss to the film industry. Nobody can be like him.

I have worked with him not only as a co-star but he has also directed me. I worked in his directorial "Aa Ab Laut Chalen". He was very caring on the sets as director and producer. Being an actor, he understand the difficulties that actors have to go through.

I was also his neighbour. The last time we met was when my daughter Payal passed away. He had even attended Payal's wedding. We had invited only select people from the industry because my daughter wanted it to be a private affair. But all my neighbours including Chintu came.

When he was in the US for treatment, we used to chat over phone. I even spoke to Neetu. Every year they used to invite us for Ganpati puja.

The news of his death is extremely shocking. First Irrfan and now Chintu. Both of them were not only great actors but also very good human beings. Yesterday and today are very bad days. On both days, I opened my eyes in the morning and heard such shocking news. I also feel very bad for Irrfan and his wife Sutapa because I know them personally.

Today I am thinking about Neetu, Ranbir and the entire family. The Kapoors are full of love and affection.

I will always remember Chintu as a foodie. He used to love good food and drinks. I remember one day he came to the sets of "Aa Ab Laut Chalen" at 5 in the evening. I asked him if he would like to have tea or coffee. He asked me if I hadn't made fish curry today? I said of course I did. He replied he first wanted fish curry and rice and then he would think about tea and coffee! I had to get fish curry and rice from home and he enjoyed it so much! Such was Chintu, always a true admirer of good food!

I have been telling Rishi since the morning that now that he is up there he should meet Payal. My daughter left us a few months ago. After that shock as a mother, very few things affect me anymore. That is a pain I cannot express in words.

As a person, Chintu was very outspoken and he awalys told me I was like him.

He used to tease me, calling me "moti" (obese) when I was pregnant with my daughter. But he used to take care of me during our outdoor shooting, I can never forget all that. He was a buddy. We would often get into fights and make up soon after! During our fights, Neetu would support me. Today, all such memories are flashing in my mind.

I am shattered to learn that he is no more. Even though I knew he was not keeping, he was a very positive person, so I strongly believed that he would fight back.

When I worked in the movie "Piku" after a long time a few years ago, he took to the public platform to encourage me and wrote Moushumi is such a good artiste! That was Rishi, a true friend.

I remember when Vinod Khanna died, Rishi was very upset because not a lot of industry people turned up to attend his last rites. He had an outburst saying people lack gratitude. But look at the irony that Rishi passed away at such a time that even if people want to go, they cannot due to this lockdown.

Today all I am left with are memories which are flooding on my mind. I have so many memories of Rishi that I can keep talking about him for hours and yet it would remain incomplete! May you rest in peace my dear friend.

"I am totally shellshocked. I don't think I am able to process my feelings and express them. This is a personal loss to me, and I am feeling helpless and weak right now. I am not able to do anything or even move out and lend a helping hand. I cannot see him, attend his last rites, take his parting blessings. I cannot do anything, except sit at home and pray for him and his family," said Padmini, pointing out that she could not attend the funeral owing to the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown.

"An artist like him, an actor like him, a good human being like him, is hard to find. The industry will be silent after Rishi Kapoor. The way he would get on social media, tweet about things, he would go on television, his presence was always felt. Now the industry will be silent for a long time. I am feeling empty," said Padmini.

"He was such a happy person. Every time he would be on sets, the entire studio would be buzzing. There is so much one could say about Rishi Kapoor, but my mind is reeling right now," she added.

In 2018, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer for the first time, following which the actor was in New York for nearly a year to undergo treatment. He returned to India in September 2019 after recovering.

The veteran actor was hospitalised on Wednesday morning after complaining that he was not feeling well. He was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai where he breathed his last. Wife Neetu Kapoor was at his side.

Mumbai, April 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) My Chintu baba! He was a nice and jovial person. He was good to each and every person. He came from a rich family -- the Kapoor family. Everyone knows who they are. He was so good and a comfortable artiste to work with. We used to call him Chintu baba.

"Bobby" was his first film. His father (Raj Kapoor) used to scold him, still he used to not feel bad. In such cases, kids get conscious but he never felt conscious. If his father would say something to him, he would say it's for his best. As an actor, of course, he was very good but he was also a very good human being. He used to never eat lunch on his own. He would sit down with everybody and eat. The dostana (friendship), yaarana... Where will you find it?

I have done many films with him. There's one incident. We had gone to some remote place for a film's shooting. There were so many mosquitoes that used to bite us. It was difficult to sleep because of that. Back then there were no good hotels also. We told Chintu baba that we will die. Even he said 'Aruna ji mai b mar gaya mujhe neend nai arahi hai (Even I am dead, I am unable to sleep). What should I do?' I said 'We can't say anything but you are the hero, so you only say something'. Then he told the film's producer. I don't remember the film's name. He said it was not possible to work in the morning like this, so shift the location. Then the location got shifted.

It's been many years since we worked together but he used to be so nice. We used to be in touch on WhatsApp. We spoke about his health. I was happy to see him return after his treatment. Then a few days later he said he was going to work. I was so happy then I stopped asking him because I thought he was out of this trap. He had started working, so I thought he had improved but he ditched us.

I still love him. May his soul rest in peace. He was a fabulous person.

Mumbai, April 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) We made just one film together and it was a wonderful association. I was very happy with the turnout, and all the actors -- especially Rishi Kapoor. He contributed a lot in the romantic film.

Rishi Kapoor was a very versatile and wonderful actor. A romantic lead in the earlier part of his life. Even at the time of "Saagar", he was still a romanticist. Later, he went on to do all kinds of roles and excelled in those.

My associations and experiences with him were very good. Once he understood the role and what I was looking for, there was absolutely no need for me to tell him anything. I didn't need to direct him. He understood it and expressed it wonderfully. There was hardly any need to say anything to him.

He will stay with me in my memories, as a brilliant and wonderful actor, who gave me whatever I wanted with all his acting abilities, senses and feeling, in the professional side.

On the personal side, I have known the Kapoors for a long time. From respecting his grandfather to Raj Kapoor ji, and working with his uncles, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor, the association has been very long. He was a wonderful human being -- full of life. After work you could talk to him about anything in the world. He was much more communicative than I was outside of work. He loved life. He lived it well.

It is so sad that you can't pay respect to the family and can't be with them because of the lockdown and distancing restrictions.

Calling Kapoor a true professional, Sanu added: "There was something so inspiring about him. Acting was his life. He used to light up the camera with his talent and camera presence. For him work was worship"

"Though he is not with us today, he has left a glorious legacy of work to inspire the coming generations of actors" said Sanu, adding: "There never was and never be an actor like him."

Rishi, who is the brother of Kareena's father, Randhir Kapoor, died in hospital after a two-year battle with leukemia. He was 67.

Kareena even took to social media to bid adieu to her uncle, who's fondly called Chintu. She posted a cute childhood picture of Rishi and her father Randhir Kapoor, and wrote: "The best boys I know... Papa and Chintu uncle."

Kareena's elder sister Karisma too mourned Rishi Kapoor's death. She uploaded an old picture of herself as a child with her father and uncle Rishi Kapoor.

"Always looking over family," Karisma captioned the image in which Rishi Kapoor is seen wearing big pants and sunglasses.

"Sadme ke baad sadma, Rishi bhi chala gaya. He fought a brave battle against cancer. He was like son to me.I am extremely sad and shattered. Pray for his family," Dharmendra tweeted in the memory of Rishi, who died on Thursday in Mumbai after a two-year-long battle with leukemia.

Along with his condolence tweet, Dharmendra posted a picture in which he is seen sharing smiles with Rishi Kapoor.

The two stars worked in a number of films eighties and nineties including "Katilon Ke Kaatil" (1981), "Sitamgar" (1985) and "Hathyar" (1989).

Rishi Kapoor passed away a day after Irrfan Khan's demise. Rishi was 67, while Irrfan was 54-year-old.

Filmmaker-actor Kaushik, who has worked with Kapoor in films like "Tehzeeb", "Saagar", "Aa Ab Laut Chalen" and "Wedding Pullav", says the late star made acting look like the easiest profession and that he ruled Bollywood with his charm and king size personality.

"Chintuji was a much-loved young icon of romance for me when I saw 'Bobby' in my college days in Delhi. After coming to Mumbai I kept on seeing him in various films as a huge star, and then got to work with him as a co-actor, and then he directed me in 'Aa Ab Laut Chalen'," Satish told IANS.

"He was a great friend, great company, always very jovial and very loving. A great person and actor, who ruled the film industry with his charm and king size persona," said Satish, who was recently shooting with Rishi for a film called "Sharmajee Namkeen".

An emotional Satish says that with Rishi the era of Romance has gone. "Yes, (the) era of romance is gone with him but his footprints will always take us to happiness and joy. Chintuji we will miss you and you will always remain the charming boy of Indian cinema. Rest in peace," he wrote.

While Kaushik was working with Rishi Kapoor in the film he would never complete, Farida Jalal recalled working with the late actor in his debut movie, "Bobby". She broke down over phone, while talking about Rishi Kapoor.

"Oh my god, what is happening? Yesterday Irrfan Khan passed away and today it is Chintu (Rishi Kapoor) I am really shocked. I was very close to Chintu. I worked with him in his first film, 'Bobby'. I don't know what to say, I need to process this," she said.

In 2018, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer for the first time, following which the actor was in New York for nearly a year to undergo treatment. He returned to India in September 2019 after recovering.

Post return to India, his health has frequently been in focus. The actor was admitted to hospital in quick succession in February.

Very few might recall Rishi Kapoor as someone who called the shots, too. It did happen in 1999, when Kapoor made his only film as a director.

The film was "Aa Ab Laut Chalen" and it starred Aishwarya Rai with Akshaye Khanna, and also featured yesteryears' superstar, the late Rajesh Khanna, besides Suman Ranganathan, in pivotal roles.

Incidentally, that was the last production of the prestigious family banner, RK Films.

The film was a romantic drama that addressed young India's fetish for settling abroad, particularly the United States.

The film failed to create much of an impact at the box office, and in 2017, the actor said he was happy in his acting space and had no plans to go back to direction anytime soon.

"I am an actor and my time is devoted to my first passion of my life -- acting. I did not get time and also I did not come across a good subject.I have been busy as a character actor since 17 years and I am enjoying working with so many lovely people. I am very happy acting," he had said at the trailer launch of his film "Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi".

Last year, Rishi, when he was undergoing cancer treatment in New York, Rishi tweeted a behind-the-scene photograph of his directorial film, sharing that he really misses his home and wants to return to India.

"Filming in New York, 1998 - Aa Ab Laut Chalen - title so symbolic today," he wrote on the post, which was originally shared by his fan on Twitter.

Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on Thursday morning after a long battle with cancer. "Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45am IST in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukemia. The doctors and medical staff at the hospital said he kept them entertained to the last," confirmed his family in a statement.

His wife Neetu Kapoor was by his side when he breathed his last in the morning. Rishi Kapoor is survived by wife, actress Neetu Kapoor, daughter Riddhima and son Ranbir.

Mumbai, April 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Aadar Jain and Abhishek Bachchan turned out to provide moral support and strength to Ranbir Kapoor at his father, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor's funeral. The last rites were performed at around 4pm in the city's Chandanwadi crematorium.

Rishi Kapoor, who was 67, passed away on Thursday morning. He was cremated in an electric chamber, according to timesofindia.indiatimes.com.

Celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani took to Instagram, where he shared a video of Rishi's last journey. All family members and friends who were at the funeral turned out wearing masks and gloves, amid the COVID-10 lockdown.

Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on Thursday morning after a long battle with cancer.

"Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45am IST in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukemia. The doctors and medical staff at the hospital said he kept them entertained to the last," confirmed his family in a statement.

His wife Neetu Kapoor was by his side when he breathed his last in the morning. Rishi Kapoor is survived by wife, actress Neetu Kapoor, daughter Riddhima and son Ranbir.

Expressing the shock, Mahesh Babu took to social media to express grief. The southern superstar wrote: "Heartbreaking to hear about #RishiKapoor sir. Yet another irreplaceable loss in our world of cinema... A complete entertainer and an incredibly talented actor... A true legend. My deepest condolences and strength to Ranbir and his family. May his soul rest in peace."

Fellow southern actor Allu Arjun is "grief-stricken" by the demise of the "charismatic actor Rishi Kapoorji". "A Versatile Performer... who I always admired . An actor from a legendary family entertaining us for decades gone too soon . Condolences to the entire family . RIP . #Rishikapoor," he tweeted.

Actor Vivek Anand Oberoi shared photos of Rishi and Irrfan Khan, who passed away on Wednesday, and wrote: "Two legends in a frame. Every directors favourite, every fans pleasure. Gone too soon, leaving us wanting for way more. A vaccum that can never be filled. We'll always miss you, thank you for your incredible cinema."

Film producer Anand Pandit called the deaths of Rishi and Irrfan "a pandemic of sadness".

"Two days and two big shocks. It's a pandemic of sadness. Rishi ji was an extraordinary actor and an unforgettable human being. Larger than life and evergreen. I grew up watching his films and learnt more about life from the films during his second stint. 'Mulk', '102 Not Out' and 'Kapoor & Sons' to name a few, showed me and his fans how an actor can transform. We will miss you Rishi ji. We have lost a gem today," said the "Chehre" producer.

TV star Hina Khan is speechless. "No words, m speechless, shocked Enough you 2020... How many more lives will you take..Stop, plz stop
RIP #RishiKapoor Ji Strength and prayers to the family," she tweeted.

Actress Nilu Kohli had worked with Rishi in four films -- "Patiala House", "Housefull 2", "Luck By Chance" and "Jhootha Kahin Ka".

"I was very fortunate to get so many opportunities to work with Rishiji who was an institution. Each shot of his used to be so perfect and well rehearsed, and just watching him perform was sheer pleasure and a learning experience," she said.

"Just that he was very unwell during 'Jhootha Kahin Ka' yet during his shot, he was so full of energy. He finished all his side of dialogues and he left for America. Not many knew he had cancer that time," she recalled.

Actress Payal Ghosh, who was last seen in "Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi" with Rishi Kapoor, finds him "absolutely flawless and you left an indelible mark with every scene you did. Thank you for launching me, Rishi uncle. And I would never forget the beautiful lines he said 'Maine bohot ladkiyo ko launch kiya hai aur aapka bhi swagat hai' (I have launched many girls in movies, you are welcome too)."

IANS brings you some trivia from the multifaceted life that he led.

• Rishi Kapoor's love for food, especially non-vegetarian food, is not something that the world doesn't know about. But there was a place he had to turn vegetarian, and that was when he visited Chennai because he was coming after a darshan at Tirupati.

• Rishi Kapoor had a thing for 'agarbatti', and used to carry a packs wherever he went. His favourite fragrance was Nag Champa.

• The world lovingly calls him Chintu ji, and in 2009 he even starred in a film by that name. But he hated his nickname, and once took to Twitter to share his old picture and expressed his views on nicknames, saying "parents must never nickname a child".

• There are several reports suggesting that he used sweaters to look hot.

• He did two international movies --- "Don't Stop Dreaming" in 2007 and "Sambar Salsa" in 2008.

• He struggled with depression at one point of his career due to back to back failures.

• His songs are evergreen, and still loved by one and all. But Rishi personally never liked many of his songs.

• He admitted that there was a time when he was a male chauvinist.

• He always admitted to his flaws. The actor once confessed buying a film award.

New Delhi, April 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) Riddhima Kapoor Sahni couldnt be with his father,d legendary actor Rishi Kapoor, when he breathed his last, and she has posted an emotional note, saying she will miss her "strongest warrior" every passing day.

Due to the countrywide lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Riddhima, who stays in Delhi, couldn't fly to Mumbai when her father was admitted to a hospital on Wednesday night.

"Papa I love you I will always love you - RIP my strongest warrior I will miss you everyday I will miss your FaceTime calls everyday," Riddhima wrote on Instagram while sharing a selfie with her father.

"I wish I could be there to say goodbye to you ! Until we meet again papa I love you - your Mushk forever," she concluded with a heart and distraught emoji.

Riddhima is scheduled to arrive in Mumbai by a special flight amid the lockdown, according to unconfirmed sources.

Simi took to Twitter, where she shared that there were no "last goodbye".

"#RishiKapoor My Chintu darling has gone.. My dearest friend..my costar..my playmate. The one who used to make me laugh till I cried! Now there are only tears.. No last goodbye. No funeral. No consoling embraces. Silence. Emptiness. Grief," she wrote.

Simi and Rishi have together worked in films like "Mera Naam Joker", "Kabhi Kabhie", "Karz" and "Biwi O Biwi".

Rishi's death was confirmed Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan on social media.

"T 3517 - He's GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed!," Amitabh tweeted on Thursday.

He was hospitalised on Wednesday morning after complaining that he was not feeling well.
According to reports, the 67-year-old actor was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. Wife Neetu Kapoor was at his side.

The hospitalisation had been confirmed by Rishi's elder brother, actor Randhir Kapoor.

In 2018, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer for the first time, following which the actor was in New York for nearly a year to undergo treatment. He returned to India in September 2019 after recovering.

"Don't have words right now to express the shock and intensity of emotion in my heart at this point! I've lost a friend, more a brother to me! Even though we met less frequently in the last few years, our friendship has always stood the test of time," he said.

Jeetendra also shared that Rishi Kapoor will always stay alive in the hearts of people.

"An everlasting connection that went far beyond the professional equation we shared as actors from the same fraternity! It's very unfortunate that owing to the times I won't be able to pay my last respects to his family in person. Nevertheless, the moments we all shared together shall live on forever in our hearts," he observed.

Jeetendra's condolence message for Rishi Kapoor has been posted by the former's son Tusshar Kapoor on social media.

The pater-familias, A. Krishnamurthi, 91, remembers how decades ago, the young Rishi - fondly known as 'Chintu' - would visit his father's or uncles' film sets and even played with him joyfully there.

"He was always a very well-behaved, cultured child... Even his future wife, and the little child actor Neetu Singh used to play in my lap. Years later, when they got married our family relations became even stronger," A. Krishnamurthi told IANS.

The incidents he referred to were around the film "Nazrana" (1961) in which he was the production executive and interacted closely with the film's cast of big names like Raj Kapoor, Vyjanthimala, Usha Kiran, Gemini Ganesan (father of the diva, Rekha Ganesan), when the 9-year old Rishi would often drop in on the sets.

Neetu was a bubbly, lovable 5-year old child actress in Venus Pictures' superhit musical film, "Suraj" (1966) with Rajendra Kumar, Vyjanthimala, Mumtaz, Ajit and Johnny Walker.

"Neetu started working as a child artiste with 'Suraj'... Years later, she and Rishi married and the entire industry was genuinely happy with their 'jodi'. Our long family relations with the 'Kapoor khandan' since the mid-1940s were further cemented," reminisced A. Krishnamurthi.

At 18, when Rishi Kapoor was to make his Bollywood grand debut with "Bobby", Raj Kapoor was hunting for a suitable playback 'voice' for his son, though there were singing stalwarts like Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar and Mukesh.

"Luckily, through some friends, I came to know of a young but very talented boy, Shailendra Singh, and recommended him to Laxmikant-Pyarelal. After he was approved by the music-director duo and the Kapoors, Rishi called up to express his gratitude for giving him a 'voice' and the film industry a new singer," A. Krishnamurthi said.

As Shailendra Singh sang many songs for Rishi Kapoor, the latter apparently repaid the debt to A. Krishnamurthi by readily agreeing to break his rule and work in a key role for his son K. Ravi Shankar's maiden directorial venture, "Sindoor" (1987), under the family's banner, Tina Film International (TFI).

"I was virtually scared of even approaching Rishi... Very hesitantly, I mentioned to my father that I needed him for that key role in the film which had his uncle Shashi Kapoor and Jeetendra, besides Jaya Prada, Govinda and Neelam Kothari. When my father reluctantly broached the topic with Rishi, he promptly agreed, but on one condition - he would not charge any fees! Such was his magnanimity and down-to-earth character, and he gave a memorable performance," K. Ravi Shankar told IANS.

Later, he broke another rule for the director whom he admired a lot.

"He enacted the lead in my second film 'Gharana' (1989) and one day graciously came for an early 6 am shoot - coinciding with sunrise - probably the second time in his career, at Hyderabad," recalls K. Ravi Shankar of that morning.

K. Ravi Shankar said coming from a big family of film-makers, Rishi Kapoor was always aware of producers' problems and pressures working on limited budgets, he never threw tantrums or indulged in 'star nakhras', avoided any exorbitant demands, remained punctual and professional.

"Once, during the 'Gharana' 3-week long schedule in Hyderabad, he called a production assistant and asked him to book a suite, arrange air tickets and pick his family from the airport to the five-star hotel. The worried production assistant informed me and I gave him the go ahead... That evening, Rishi came looking for me and I assured him that I had cleared it. But he said only on the condition that 'he would pay entirely for his family trip' without any arguments... That was his greatness," said K. Ravi Shankar.

In 1990, he made it a point to specially fly down to Chennai for K. Ravi Shankar's wedding with Jayashree and posed for family pictures along with A. Krishnamurthi and his wife Mathuram.

TFI Executive Producer Ramya Iyer recalled how from childhood the Krishnamurthis and Kapoors would bond at various festivals or family occasions.

"During the annual Ganeshotsav, celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Kapoors, Rishi would personally call up and invite my dad (A. Krishnamurthi), and when we went he was there to receive us at the gate without fail, and escort us inside. He was a highly cultured and humble person, respected elders, and on sets would interact with everyone right down to the spot-boys," Ramya Iyer told IANS.

TFI's producer K. Ramji, who runs his own company Tina Films Enterprises (TFE), recalled how he was once surprised to see the glittering singer-dancer costume from the mega-hit Subhash Ghai film, "Karz" (1980), starring Rishi Kapoor, Tina Munim-Ambani, Simi Garewal and others, at Rishi Kapoor's home.

"He mentioned that he had liked it so much after the 'Om Shanti Om' number that he decided to preserve it... Four decades after the film release, the costume hangs to this day at his home-office, though he is gone now," said K. Ramji softly.

Mumbai, April 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) I have so many memories with him that I can write a book on Rishi Kapoor.

I came to know about his demise through Amitabh Bachchan's tweet. Then I called up his family, there was no response then I saw the TV, I was shocked. I couldn't believe it.

Earlier this year, I had met him and he spoke to me about his new film and shooting. I told him 'Why do you work? You should take rest now. God has rung an alarm'. He said 'You can rest, but I can't. In the last five years, you didn't make any film after 'Kaanchi'. Make a new film, I am with you, everyone is with you'. It was like my dad scolding me whereas I had gone to scold him! I started laughing. For me, he is always Chintu, a kid. I could see a child in him till the end of his life.

Our relationship was not of a professional level. We had an internal bonding. He was one of my dear friends. We used to worry about each other. He was a simple soul, blunt, frank, honest. Agar galat baat pe lada toh woh phone karta (if he fought on wrong issues, he would call up) and apologise.

I would always tell him he is a star with a loverboy face, so no one would give him roles of a mafia chief, a dada or a gay. Later in life he did those roles and shocked me. Then he said, 'Now you write a character for me'.

He knew that if he suited a character, I would take him otherwise I wouldn't. We used to often meet at functions, eat food at each other's homes. Our bonding never got over. Generally, after a film gets over, the actor forgets you and moves on. There are few who will be a friend of friends. People used to be surprised thinking these two don't do films together but 'dosti bohot hai'. We used to have heart-to-heart conversations. It was above our professional interest.

I would definitely include Rishi Kapoor in one of the top five finest actors of India.

He belonged to a family that was always united. Chintu was a family man. He had a great balance of family values and professional values.

Chintu - bacha - bache ke wajah se woh ek acha insan tha, bache ke wajah se woh ek acha actor tha (he was a good person and actor because of the child in him) . He didn't let the child in him die. That was the best quality of Rishi Kapoor.

A child star has gone. An actor who remained a child star for 45 years.
