Returning as Kuldeep Kumar, Dhaval Thakur steps into the shoes of a man torn between guilt and obsession, a man who once made a mistake that changed everything and now finds himself drawn back into a dangerous web of politics, power, and unfinished emotions.

During a fun interaction with IANS, Bollywood’s very own revealed why she would be involved in fewer “kaands” than Triptii Dimri and Dharna Durga, while hinting at the chaos, conflicts and strong personalities that define the film’s central trio.

When the trailer released, it mentioned “Ek maa”, “Do behen” and “ek bhayankar kaand” in the film, which is set in Bhopal.

"But what if the film were set in Delhi? Then who would do the most ‘kaands,’ considering the term is more commonly used colloquially in the National Capital?"

Pat came the reply from Madhuri: “I think they (Triptii and Dharna) will have more kaands because they are from here. So I don't know much about Delhi. So she has less to do.”

Premiering on June 4, “Maa Behen” revolves around is Rekha, a mother who’s already juggling enough until life throws her the ultimate curveball, a dead body in her kitchen. With her two daughters, Jaya, the responsible one, and Sushma, the wild card, this trio must think fast, lie faster, and somehow keep their nosy neighbors from sniffing out the truth.

Triptii chimed in and said that it would be all three characters, she added: “All three of us have equally kaandi.

The statement issued on behalf of Vikram Chatterjee Films also mentioned that while he is stepping down from his role as producer, he will continue to be a part of the series as an actor and will fulfill all promotional commitments connected to the show.

A statement was shared on Instagram on the official Instagram handle of Vikram Chatterjee Films, which read: “STATEMENT REGARDING ‘TAARKATA’”.

The statement went on to read: “Due to unforeseen creative differences, Vikram Chatterjee Films has formally decided to withdraw from the upcoming series, TAARKATA, scheduled to premiere on Bangla Zee5.”

The actor is stepping down as a producer and the banner will cease all associations with the production.

“Accordingly, Vikram Chatterjee will step down from his role as Producer, and Vikram Chatterjee Films will cease all associations with the production.”

However, he will continue to be a part of the project as an actor.

“However, Vikram Chatterjee remains fully committed to the project in his capacity as an actor and will continue to fulfill his promotional obligations for the series as planned. We humbly request the patience of our audience, partners, and the media as we take the necessary time to align the next steps. Further updates will be shared in due course.”

The series is directed by Samik Roy Choudhury. It also stars Meiyang Chang, Priyanka Sarkar, Srijit Mukherji, Satyam Bhattacharya, Ayush Das and Sushmita Roy.

Vikram made his debut in 2012 with a supporting role in Mainak Bhowmik's Bedroom. He also acted in Elar Char Adhyay based on Rabindranath Tagore's last novel "Char Adhyay".

Soon after he portrayed supporting roles in Ami Aar Amar Girlfriends, Hoi Choi, Britto and few other films. He shot to fame with his work in shows such as Ichche Nodee and Phagun Bou.

The show focuses on the daily lives of a Rajasthani family based in Udaipur. The main characters of the show are Naira and Kartik. Earlier the show focused on Naira's parents Akshara and Naitik.

Talking about Karan, the 43-year-old actor is also known for his work in shows such as Khatmal E Ishq and Bigg Boss 10.

Meanwhile, Ashnoor made her acting debut in 2009 with Jhansi Ki Rani. She gained prominence for her work in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, Patiala Babes and Suman Indori. In 2025, She participated as a contestant on in Bigg Boss 19.

I picked up a few nuances and a slight South Indian twang in the way Meera speaks, because the character needed to feel believable and organic. Even a small pronunciation mistake can stand out to the audience.”

She added, “But honestly, it wasn’t about trying to master a language, but about making sure the emotions felt real in every scene. It wasn’t easy at all, but I genuinely enjoyed the process because it helped me get closer to Meera as a person."

He shared: “I think what's interesting in Glory is... your brain has to be wired in a... Actually, if you throw a punch and hit someone with intent, your brain will get rewired. And you will become a violent person.”

Talking about the creator, Karan Anshuman stepped into the world of showbiz with his maiden directorial, Bangistan, in 2015.

As per the synopsis, the film follows two brainwashed suicide bombers, Hafeez and Praveen, who are on a mission to blast a meeting of religious leaders in Poland. However, they change their minds about the bombing due to the situation.

This isn’t just a period drama, it’s a story about a very emotionally charged time in our history, where music, poetry, and expression played a huge role in shaping voices of resistance and identity."

Swanand has composed the entire music album for the series, featuring six songs. He has also lent his voice to three of these tracks, including a standout number titled “Ye Kaisa Hai Junoon”.

Swanand shared that composing for a story set during the Emergency comes with a certain responsibility.

“You’re not just creating melodies; you’re trying to capture the spirit of a generation that was questioning authority, dreaming of change, and finding its voice amidst chaos. The songs had to feel rooted in that time, yet resonate with today’s audience. That balance was both challenging and deeply fulfilling."

He added: "I’ve composed six songs for the series, and singing three of them, including ‘Ye Kaisa Hai Junoon’, was a very personal experience. That song, in particular, reflects the passion, confusion, and fire of youth during that era. It’s not just about romance or rebellion, but about a larger emotional unrest that defined those years."

Talking about how many jabs and crosses he got while prepping to play Ravi in Karan Anshuman’s upcoming series, Pulkit told IANS: “I didn’t get too many, but as we say in the trailer, to become a boxer, punching and eating punches are both very important. Learning both is essential.”

The actor said he had to learn to take and deliver punches.

“And trust me, you don’t want to punch anyone; that is much harder than taking punches because, inherently, you don’t want to punch somebody in the face as part of a sport. But that’s where we often mistake boxing,” said Pulkit, who made his acting debut with the series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2006.

The 42-year-old actor said that it is not just about “aggression, rage, or hitting each other.”

“It’s about scoring well; it is a sport with rules and regulations. And at the end of the day, it’s a mind game,” he added.

The actor: “When you are in the ring, there is a chess match going on between both players. When should he make a mistake, and should I take advantage of it? Or when should I make the other player make a mistake? And if I am getting hit hard, how should I break the line and move aside?”

“I think the same principles apply to life as well and that is what I learned from boxing. The discipline it requires, I have taken that discipline from boxing into my personal life as well.”

Pulkit said that there is a formula for good sleep.

The actor said: “The dedication, the number of hours, the hard work that needs to be put in. And finally, when you see results, you realize that yes, there is no formula for success but this is the formula for a good sleep.”

Sharing her experience, Kritika said, “The team spent a lot of time understanding the look and feel of the era and my character Gulrukh particularly. It started with a photo of Parveen Babi that Nagraj sir had shared and then we looked at the legendary Zeenat Aman, Sharmila Tagore, Rekha for inspiration. Our costume designer, Priyanka Dubey did multiple trials with me.”

Not just actresses, Kritika revealed that the inspiration was also taken from jazz clubs and Parsi events.

“Everything from the hair to shoes and accessories was discussed and sourced with great care. Not just the iconic actresses of the time, we also saw real photos of jazz clubs, races and Parsi events that have been documented.”

“The costume, hair and makeup have been a big part of who this character is and helped me greatly in finding the poise that Gulrukh needed.”

Talking about her latest project Matka King, the show also stars Vijay Varma and Sai Tamhankar. It tells the story of Mumbai in the 1960s, where an enterprising cotton trader who craves legitimacy and respect, starts a new gambling game dubbed 'Matka'.

In other news, Kritika got married to Gaurav Kapur on March 11 in an intimate wedding setting with their families and a close circle of friends in attendance. They had their registrar wedding at home.

Kritika made her acting debut in 2007 with Yahan Ke Hum Sikandar.

In 2009, she played a singer, Arohi in Kitani Mohabbat Hai opposite Karan. She was then seen in Pyaar Ka Bandhan, Kitani Mohabbat Hai 2, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge,

Rasika took to Instagram, where she and Mukul made a reel video and the actress is heard saying the iconic quote: “Don't be ridiculous, Andrea, everybody wants this.”

Taking to the caption section, the actress shared that she would happily seize any opportunity to step into Streep’s shoes, even if just for fun.

The Devil Wears Prada first released in 2006. The film was based on the 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger. The film stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and Emily Blunt.

Regarding Rasika, she will next be seen in ‘Mirzapur-The Movie’, which is locked for a September 4 release.

“Mirzapur” follows Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi, a crime boss and businessman who is the proverbial ruler of Mirzapur district in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh, India.

The series also stars Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, A. C. Peterson, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany. Tulsa King was renewed for a second season, which premiered in 2024.

Paramount later confirmed the third season.The third season premiered in 2025.

A fourth season as well as a spin-off series called Frisco King which stars Samuel L. Jackson, have both been ordered.

Opening up about what drew him to the role, Saqib said in a statement, “Honestly, the first thing that stood out to me was that Samardeep does not try to be a hero. He isn’t chasing validation. He walks into a room, and the energy shifts.”

“That kind of presence is rare to find on paper. Also, he speaks very little, which works great for me. In real life, too, I’d pick fewer lines and more attitude any day.”

He added: “But on a serious note, what really stayed with me is that everything he does comes from a deeply personal place. He is not fixing the system out of the goodness of his heart. He is doing it because something within him is fractured.”

Saqib said that the emotional undercurrent made the character far more compelling to explore as an actor.

Headlined by Saqib Saleem and Siddharth Nigam, Kaptaan also features Anjumm Shharma, Kavita Kaushik, Poojaa Gor, and Anushka Kaushik, among others.

He shared that Poojaa also has a great sense of humour.

“So in between intense scenes, we were mostly joking around and pulling each other’s legs. It helps keep things balanced; otherwise, a show like this can get quite heavy while shooting.”

He added: “There is someone who is out on the loose, mercilessly killing women. Then there comes ACP Vikrant, a single father who is suspended and an alcoholic.”

He also mentioned how great he feels uniting with Balaji Telefilms once again.

“This is like homecoming for me. My life’s biggest and most important shows were from the Balaji Telefilms family. Ekta ma’am has given me so many characters that the audience has loved so much,” said Sharad, who made his acting debut in 2004 with Princess Dollie Aur Uska Magic Bag.

Talking about the new show, Sharad added, “It’s a murder mystery, a crime genre, my first time and it was an amazing experience. I’m grateful to Balaji Telefilms for that.

The actor will be seen sharing screen space with Bhojpuri talent Vinay Anand in the show.

Talking about working with Vinay, he added: “It was a great team effort. I got to work with Vinay Anand. He has spread his magic in the Bhojpuri industry and even appeared in Hindi films. It was really great.”

Talking about urged him to take this decision, Ssanjay shared that it wasn’t a health choice but something far more deep.

Ssanjay, who has worked in popular shows like Kundali Bhagya, Naagin, and Vinny Ki Kitaab, said: “It was completely a spiritual shift. Not all projects change your career; some projects change you. While filming for my upcoming web show Hotspot, I witnessed what felt like a divine intervention right from the beginning of the shoot.”

He said he experienced a deep spiritual alignment with his co-actors, “who inspired and influenced me with their dedication and faith. Being a learner both on-screen and off-screen, I naturally absorb positive traits from people who are selfless and grounded.”

The actor shared how this phase brought him closer to spiritual practices and traditions. He said that during this time, he observed “fasts for the last two days of Navratri, visited the historic Chandrika Devi Mandir and a 51 Shakti Peeth temple, and performed Kanjak (Kanya Puja).”

“Kanjak, or Kanya Puja, is a cherished Hindu tradition where young girls (aged 2–10) are worshipped as living embodiments of Goddess Durga during Navratri. It symbolizes reverence for the divine feminine, where the girls represent the nine forms of Shakti and are honoured with rituals like washing their feet, offering food, and giving gifts. After completing this ritual, I broke my fast,” he said.

Describing the turning point that followed soon after, Ssanjay shared: “A day after that, I felt a significant shift within myself and decided to turn vegetarian. I’m deeply grateful to my co-actor and now a very dear friend, Aparna Dixit, for inspiring me and unknowingly becoming a selfless medium through whom I felt closer to God.”

“This is something my mother had always wished for me as well.”

The actor said it is a very personal choice.

“And everyone has their own journey and beliefs. However, I always encourage people close to me to eat clean, stay fit, and engage in some form of physical activity for at least 30 minutes every day,” he said.

Ssanjay said that the transformation has been both internal and powerful.

He says, “A sense of transformation has been deeply felt since making this decision. There is a feeling of being lighter, cleaner, and more positive. A stronger alignment with God and a deeper connection with nature and oneself has also been experienced like never before.”
