Shreya spoke with IANS following the launch of her All Hearts Tour live album, and called Asha Bhosle, a personification of power and feminism.

She told IANS, “Lata ji, Asha ji have been like a guru to me. I met with them rarely but, I always learnt from their craft, and their music. Their voice has become the inner voice of my musical soul. For me Asha ji is. That kind of an artist. Who broke a lot of barriers. In spite of her struggles, she is the personification of power, feminism, and never bowed down to mediocrity”.

The National Award-winning singer lauded the discipline of her senior, and shared that the younger crop of artistes can learn so much from her.

She further mentioned, “Brilliant is probably an understatement. Even today, though she is not there, but her stories, the way she performed every song, listening to the story behind them, it serves as an inspiration. The kind of riyaz she was doing. Even at the age of 92, she was doing Riyaz every day. She will continue to inspire. The last show in London, my most important concert at the O2 arena where the biggest of the artistes have performed. So, when I heard the news about her, I was very nervous. But I thought that is her legacy. That we need to take forward. And she would be happy thinking that there is a female headliner from India, ‘Bharat Ki Awaaz’, ‘Bharat Ki Beti’”.

“So I thought, she would be blessing us. The London concert was a tribute to her in every sense. She was the last greatest pillar of Indian music whom we lost. And nobody can ever take the place or the kind of energy and the hard work and excellence that Lata ji, Asha ji, Rafi sahab, Kishore da and others gave us. Nobody can match up to all these great artistes”, she added.

Los Angeles, April 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) Hollywood legend Meryl Streep, who has reprised the role of the formidable Runway Magazine editor Miranda Priestly, says she was "ready to retire", but quickly thought to "double" her salary ask when she was offered the second installment of the 2006 comedy-drama “The Devil Wears Prada”.

Appearing on NBC's TODAY with Jenna + Sheinelle, Streep revealed: "They called me up, and they made an offer, and I said, 'No, not going to do it.'"

Upon quizzing the Hollywood legend why, Streep replied: "I knew it was going to be a hit and I wanted to see if I doubled my ask… And they went right away and said, 'Sure.' And I thought, I'm 50, 60, it took me this long to understand that I could do that.”

She added: “They needed me, I felt. I was ready to retire, but that was a lesson."

Now 20 years on, the Oscar-winning actress is back on the big screen as Miranda in the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, which followed aspiring journalist Andrea "Andy" Sach work as an assistant for Miranda.

The Devil Wears Prada 2, which sees the return of Streep, Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci sees near-retiree Miranda competing with Emily, her former assistant and now executive, over advertising revenue, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Last week, Hathaway credited her co-stars for having made filming "one of the most hilarious experiences ever".

She told people.com: "I loved making the first. I know I was stressed and anxious and all those things, but it’s one of the most hilarious experiences ever because of the people I was with."

She heaped praise on her cast members, stating that she doesn't often tell Streep how much she "reveres" her.

Hathaway added: "Emily Blunt is such a dream of a human being. Stanley is so funny and quick, and Meryl, I don’t talk about how much I revere her to her, but I do.

"She’s someone I admire. Someone who defines how it’s done. Somebody who is just living greatness and never rests on that laurel, but is always pushing herself to expand as an artist. She’s unbelievable."

Asking for help, Teigen shared all the contradictions she's been feeling with her age in a on a post on the photo-sharing app Instagram.

She first posted a picture of herself spotting a new bob paired with a colorful dress and red suede heeled boots.

Taking to the comment section, she wrote: “I love 40 but I hate sweating the bed. but I love pockets and my new hair. but I’m so tired. but I love feeling things again. but I’m so tired. my skin is changing. my period is back. I feel like a crazy person but I love 40 I really do!!! help.”

It was in March, when Teigen took to the Stories section of Instagram, and revealed new Bob hairstyle.

Tagging her hairstylist, Irinel de Leon and Priscilla Valles, who does her extensions, she thanked her “babies” for her transformation.

Teigen experimented with shorter hair back in 2025, when she attended the Grammys with a chic, sleek, straight, blunt bob. However, later that year, she returned to longer locks, adding extensions to her brunette mane.

Teigen made her professional modeling debut in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, in 2010. She has appeared as a panelist on the syndicated daytime talk show FABLife.

She co-hosted the musical competition show Lip Sync Battle with LL Cool J and was a judge on the comedy competition show Bring the Funny.

Teigen and John Legend first met while filming his 2006 music video for the song "Stereo", in which she played his love interest. They got engaged in December 2011, after four years of dating.

The duo married in September 2013. Legend's song "All of Me" was dedicated to her. Teigen and Legend have four children.

The 76-year-old rockstar has opened up about his longtime friend, who died last year at the age of 74, and said that he is filled with regret over missed opportunities to help Ace when he was battling addiction issues at the height of KISS' fame revealing he should have staged an intervention "decades ago", reports ‘Female First UK’.

During an appearance on the ‘Inside Of You With Michael Rosenbaum’ podcast, Gene said, "I should have, and could have, but I should have, a long time (ago), when you see the disease starting to get ahold of him, I should have, decades ago, took, took him aside, it's called an intervention, and forced him to understand he's not just hurting himself by his lifestyle choices, but his family, his child and the fans”.

“It was a stupid and shameful decision on all our parts, I know mine too. 'No, you don't wanna get the fans upset. Let's make believe he's in the band and everything's okay at home’. And it's tough. It's really tough”.

As per ‘Female First UK’, Gene said that Ace who left KISS several times over the years before departing for good in 2002, will always be respected as a talented musician but he really suffered after the group shot to fame.

He said, "It's been up and down for 50 years with Ace. If you would've met Ace at the beginning (of KISS), God bless him, you would've fallen in love with the idea, who he is and all that. And then (as historial Italian figure Niccolo) Machiavelli (said), (when you) have power, (you must sometimes) abuse it. It affects all of us in different ways. Me too”.

Johnson shared a video of himself at the dimly lit gym and was heard saying on Instagram: “So, how's this for the universe stepping in? Kismet? Irony maybe? Universal irony? So I posted something, I don't know, maybe four or five hours ago, from this weekend, from this past Saturday night, where I was talking about training in the quiet of the night and how some of our best work is done and no one will ever see it.”

“So I get to the gym and like that light over there, which I'm going to go to in a second, works.

This exit sign works. There's a fridge all the way in the corner that works, but the lights don't work tonight. I thought, oh, that's a sign.”

He shared that he walked over here “to this, but this sign is on.”

“Stay humble, stay hungry. And I thought, ah, this is a sign that I got to pay attention to.”

Johnson thought, “oh, maybe since I was in that mindset, in that zone, stay humble, humble enough to respect your process and and also hungry enough to know that sometimes you have to be unattached to the process, unattached to how you get there, whatever that North Star is.”

He added: “Stay hungry enough to be unattached to it, but yet still move forward with your process. And I thought, there's a sign. I'm taking that sign. And that's the story. I'm sticking to it.”

“So, and by the way, if you can, I'm not, I know it's hard, by the way, to train at night, but if you're able to and you're able just to shut the lights off, what I did realize tonight, even though it wasn't what I wanted to do, is it kind of minimize the sensory clutter that you can have by shutting the lights off.”

Johnson said that he likes to try and stay really focused in the gym, but being dark in the gym, really “like hyper focused where every rep, every pause, every negative, just really kind of funneled it all into one place in space.”

“It was really good. I got a great workout in. So anyway, that's my story. I'm sticking to it. I'm taking that as a sign from the universe. There it is right there. Stay humble, stay hungry. Maybe there should be a third line. Stay humble, stay hungry and pay your light bill. That's the story I'm sticking with. Have a productive week.”

Taking to the caption, Johnson tagged it as a “sign from the universe” and added: “Or maybe I didn’t pay the light bill. But what I did find is that training at night with the lights off created an even more hyper-focused environment that minimized sensory clutter - so every rep, every negative, every pause squeeze had a sharper edge.”

“Also my breathing control had a different pulse to it since I could hear my breath through the grind and labor. Billie said, “Hailey said, like, one song before, that she was gonna push me on stage”. The panic hit so hard she could “barely stand”, and, to make matters worse, she says she was left to fend for herself.

Hanks, 69, shed some light on the viral glimpse of what appeared to be a bald spot on the toy cowboy in the upcoming film.

"He has been played with to excess," Hanks said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, reports people.com.

"You put a rubber hat on top of a rubber head again and again and again and again, something's gonna chafe. So, yeah, he does have… let's say a worn area on the back of his head."

Hanks went on to discuss why Woody's body has also changed since the first film in the franchise, which was released in 1995.

"He is not shaped plastic," the two-time Academy Award winner explained.

Hanks added: "He is made of stuffing and cloth, and that stuff settles over time."

In the trailer, a poncho-wearing Woody removes his cowboy hat to unveil his hairless spot, which hilariously attracts the sunlight that ricochets off his plastic patch of baldness and into the eye of his now-blinded toys.

"Ooh! Ouch!" the toys say collectively as the light shines in their eyes.

"Someone needs a brown marker," Trixie, the blue plastic Triceratops, quips about coloring in Woody's bald spot to match his hair, reports people.com.

Talking about “Toy Story”, the animated franchise began in 1995. It has long examined the unique relationship between children and their favorite childhood toys, nostalgia, and the growing pains of adolescence.

The fifth installment of the movie franchise hits theaters on June 19.

Asked about the possibility of making an Enola Holmes sequel, she said: "Yeah, there’s more of the story to be told. The story isn't over yet. She isn't grown up, there's no conclusion. I think she’ll forever be someone who is always evolving, but there's definitely more to be shown on screen. (Henry Cavill) and I loved working together, so this has to happen."

She also felt like she could identify with her character.

The actress said: "I will say anyone that watches the film that knows me, so my friends and family, they say, 'Oh my gosh, she’s so much like you. Sometimes I’m looking at her and I feel like I’m watching you talking.'

"So, first of all, that is one of the things that I loved about Enola, is when I was reading the script, it felt like I was reading myself. She’s got a very witty sense of humour, very British. And I’ve definitely got her sense of humour."

In a collaborative post with The Tonight Show, Diljit is seen talking to host Jimmy Fallon about how in 1914 Indians weren’t allowed to enter the stadium in Vancouver and now that 55,000 people came to see his show at the same location was a “big thing” for him.

Diljit was first heard saying: “The stadium we did in Vancouver—like, in 1914, when our people came to Canada for the first time—they weren’t allowed to enter. And that stadium is just two kilometers away from the place of theGuru Nanak Jahaz, Komagata Maru incident.”

The incident, which the Punjabi sensation is talking about, was about the Japanese steamship that arrived in Vancouver in 1914, carrying over 300 passengers mostly Sikhs, along with Muslims and Hindus from Punjab, British India.

The Canadian authorities denied their entry under reported discriminatory "continuous journey" regulations. The people were asked to return, facing violence and imprisonment upon arrival back in India.

The actor recently attended the red carpet at the 51st Chaplin Award gala at Alice Tully Hall in New York City, reports ‘People’ magazine.

He told ‘People’, "As you get older, it's hard to watch movies when you were younger because you're like, 'Holy s---, that doesn't even look like me anymore’”.

The actor appeared at the annual N.Y.C. gala to receive an award from Film at Lincoln Center that "recognizes an individual's significant contributions to the art of cinema", named after Charlie Chaplin, who was the organization's inaugural honoree back in 1972.

As per ‘People’, the actor said that he recently watched his 2009 stop-motion animated movie with Wes Anderson, Fantastic Mr. Fox, with his 8-year-old twins Alexander and Ella, whom he shares with wife Amal Clooney.

"So I was watching Fantastic Mr. Fox, which is a little easier because it's not really me, it's just my voice. That's kind of fun because the kids are slowly figuring out what I do for a living, you know? But the rest of it. Listen, it's hard because I tend to not want to look back, but now that I'm gonna be 65 in a week, looking forward's a lot shorter view, you know what I mean? So maybe I'll look back later, you know”.

George Clooney and Amal, 48, posed together on the red carpet before the gala, where the actor was celebrated by friends and collaborators Stephen Colbert, Julianna Margulies, John Turturro and Sam Rockwell.

As the actor said on the red carpet, he turns 65 on May 6. He most recently appeared in a movie when he played a movie star not unlike himself in 2025's Jay Kelly. In recent months, Clooney has said that he is working on Ocean's 14, a sequel to his three heist movies with Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts.

Los Angeles, April 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) Actress-singer Ariana Grande, who was earlier trolled during the ‘Wicked: For Good’ press tour, has announced the title and release date of her eighth studio album.

The album is titled, ‘Petal’, and is executive produced and co-written by Grande and Ilya. The song will hit the airwaves on July 31, reports ‘Variety’.

In the announcement, Grande describes the album as, “Something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging”.

As per ‘Variety’, Ilya (whose full name is Ilya Salmanzadeh) is a Swedish-Persian producer who worked extensively with hitmaker Max Martin, co-produced and co-wrote much of Grande’s 2024 album ‘Eternal Sunshine’ and has clocked hits with Taylor Swift and Sam Smith, among many others. The album will be released under the label of Republic Records.

The album has been long expected, as Grande has been teasing it with photos of herself in the studio and announced a summer tour launching in June.

The announcement comes on the heels of her three years of work around the film ‘Wicked’ and its sequel, as well as ‘Eternal Sunshine’ and its 2025 deluxe edition. While the tour was pegged to “Eternal Sunshine” when it was announced last year, it seems likely the new album will be a highlight of it. Ariana said that the tour could be her last “for a long time”.

She said on Amy Poehler’s ‘Good Hang’ podcast, “The last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up. I don’t want to say anything definitive. I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time. I’m going to give it my all and it’s going to be beautiful”.

The lead actress Charlotte MacInnes is suing Wilson for defamation in Australia, and the ‘Pitch Perfect’ star gave evidence for the first time as part of a nine-day trial, reports ‘Deadline’.

Charlotte MacInnes alleges that Wilson damaged her reputation by claiming that she was a victim of “inappropriate behaviour” by ‘The Deb’ producer Amanda Ghost, and then colluded with Ghost to cover up what took place.

As per ‘Deadline’, Rebel maintained that Charlotte complained to her about Ghost’s conduct. The actress was softly spoken under cross-examination by Sue Chrysanthou, Charlotte’s barrister, during the hearing on Tuesday. Chrysanthou accused Rebel of bullying Charlotte and Ghost, and The Deb‘s writer, Hannah Reilly, despite claiming in her affidavit to be a “champion of women”.

She said, “That’s absolute nonsense. If you look over my 25-year career, you can see many evidence of me supporting women”.

Rebel also denied being involved in the creation of websites targeting Ghost with smears, which included calling the producer the “Indian Ghislaine Maxwell”.

Lawyers for MacInnes have accused Rebel of hiring Melissa Nathan, the American publicist of The Agency Group (TAG), to launch the websites. Charlotte’s case includes messages that originally emerged in the It Ends with Us dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, in which PR executive Nathan tells former colleague Katie Case that “Rebel wants” a “really harsh” website about “Amanda”.

Rebel has consistently denied this, telling a U.S. court last year that she “unequivocally” played no role in “conceiving, planning, registering, directing, creating, writing, or posting the content of the websites”.

She also discussed the idea of ignoring her fears on how her songs might be critically received in favor of what she loved creating. She told ‘The New York Times’ magazine, “I think the first time I felt I don’t care if people hate this because I love it so much was when I wrote the song ‘Love Story’ when I was 17, sitting in my bedroom, mad at my parents because they wouldn’t let me go on a date with a guy who was too old so I shouldn’t have been on a date with him anyway”.

As per ‘People’, Swift famously dated actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who was nearly 10 years her senior, in 2010, writing the heartbreak anthem ‘All Too Well’ about their painful split. And while she keeps her fans in mind for certain details in her album, Swift doesn’t let perception dictate the music she releases.

“Oftentimes when I love it to a certain degree, that tends to match up with people. And it could be that it doesn’t match up with the way people feel ‘til six years later”, she shared.

Los Angeles, April 28 (SocialNews.XYZ) Hollywood star Jeremy Renner says he almost gave up acting after his snowplough accident as he had to “focus” so much on “real life”.

Renner suffered over 30 broken bones, a lacerated liver and a collapsed lung in January 2023 when he was run over by his Snocat. However, Renner is happy that he continued his career in showbiz.

He told Fox News Digital, "I mean, I'll be in recovery for the rest of my life. I think it goes beyond acting. I almost didn't want to go back into acting because I had to focus so much on real life. Nonfiction kind of stuff. To go into fiction was a little difficult, but I'm glad I'm back doing it."

The 55-year-old actor has tried to simplify his life since the accident, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

He explained: "Be with my family, get better every day and do acts of service and give to others as much and best as I can. And that's how I choose to live my life from moving forward since the accident."

Renner is open to trying new treatments for his ongoing medical issues, and is currently focusing on red light treatments and oxygen therapy.

He said: "There are a lot of great things we're progressing in it. Peptide therapies are really great for hormone replacement as we get older. You don't have to be in an accident to do any of the things I'm doing. These are just life stuff as we age, but those are also very, very key to my recovery from tissue damage. 38 broken bones, all that type of stuff.

"And also, a positive mindset. These are things that I enjoy and I have to enjoy them because I'll be doing them as I breathe and as I move around through life."

Swift’s company recently filed three trademark applications with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, reports ‘Variety’.

Two relate to sound trademarks covering her voice: one is “Hey, it’s Taylor Swift”, and the other is “Hey, it’s Taylor”.

As per ‘Variety’, the third trademark is a visual trademark covering “a photograph of Taylor Swift holding a pink guitar, with a black strap and wearing a multi-colored iridescent bodysuit with silver boots. She is standing on a pink stage in front of a multi-colored microphone with purple lights in the background”.

The filings, made on behalf of Swift's TAS Rights Management, were spotted by intellectual-property attorney Josh Gerben of Gerben IP. According to Gerben, her trademark applications reflect growing concern among talent in the entertainment industry about potential danger of AI stealing artistes’ ability to control their voice and likeness without their consent.

Representatives for Swift and Rebecca Liebowitz, partner at law firm Venable, who is listed on the trademark applications, have offered no comments, so far. Historically, trademarks aren’t designed to protect an individual’s general likeness, voice or persona. But the theory pursued by Matthew McConaughey’s legal team is that such trademark protections would provide additional legal remedies beyond traditional right-of-publicity claims to fight against AI-generated content that misappropriates someone’s likeness.

Swift’s likeness has been used without permission in numerous AI fakes, including by Meta’s AI chatbots and in pornographic images that have circulated on the internet. In addition, in the run-up to the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Donald Trump shared AI-generated images of the singer inaccurately suggesting that Swift had endorsed Trump.

The 56-year-old actor rose to fame as Stu Macher in 1996's Scream before playing Shaggy in 2002's Scooby-Doo and its sequel Monsters Unleashed two years later, while he has found a new fanbase since playing William Afton in Five Nights At Freddy's in 2023, going onto appear in ‘The Life of Chuck and Daredevil: Born Again’.

Speaking to the Phase Hero podcast, he said, "Scooby-Doo 1 and 2 are more popular now than they ever were when they came out. So I do think there’s a weird nostalgia thing happening in our industry and in the zeitgeist because I think that people are longing for ye olde times. I think that’s one of the reasons I’m having this moment to be honest, is because I was identified in that moment, so people are hiring me again”.

He argued that people "miss the old times" rather than him as an actor. He said, "I think that’s why I’m working. I don’t think anyone really likes me. They just miss the old times”.

As per ‘Female First UK’, back in 2024, he shared he thought the Scooby-Doo live action movies would land him "on the call sheet for the next 10 years of movies", but the sequel's box office flop meant "the exact opposite happened".

Speaking during a live recording of the SmartLess podcast, he said, “So I live in a very small town in San Diego, and it’s amazing, and my neighbours are incredible people. And when we had our first kid, we moved out there three years ago. I wanted to leave Los Angeles and raise a family outside of Los Angeles”.

The actor has still been able to travel back and forth for work, but he's appreciated being away from the Hollywood bubble.

He added, "(My neighbours) never treat me weird or ask me about my job or anything. And my neighbour is one of my great friends, Dr. Sean, he never asked. He’s here tonight. He never bothered me or was like, ‘Oh, what’s this person like?’”.

As per ‘Female First UK’, despite being glad to have moved away, Jonah has fond memories growing up in Los Angeles around the freedom and punk rock culture.

He said, “I grew up here, Los Angeles was such a cool place to grow up in the ’90s because you could go skateboard downtown or you could sneak into a movie premiere or you could go sneak into a comedy club and see Chris Rock or something. You had access to show business stuff, but you had access to punk and skating and graffiti and all the naughty stuff. And there was no internet. It was just so awesome”.

The concert organizers have confirmed the incident as they stated that the Fire Department was immediately called to transport the patient, reports ‘People’ magazine.

In a statement on Instagram translated from the original Portuguese, the "Todo Mundo No Rio" concert shared, “The event organizers confirm that an accident this Sunday afternoon (April 26th) tragically claimed the life of a professional who was working on assembling the structures for the show. First responders provided initial care at the scene, and the Fire Department was immediately called to transport the patient. Unfortunately, the professional passed away at the hospital”.

“At this time, we are providing all support, comfort, and solidarity to the responsible company, its team, and the victim's family”, they added.

The state fire brigade (CBMERJ) told ‘People’, "A worker suffered crushing injuries to his lower limbs in a lifting system. Before the arrival of emergency teams, the victim had already been removed from the equipment by other employees present”>

The concert organizers have confirmed the incident as they stated that the Fire Department was immediately called to transport the patient, reports ‘People’ magazine.

In a statement on Instagram translated from the original Portuguese, the "Todo Mundo No Rio" concert shared, “The event organizers confirm that an accident this Sunday afternoon (April 26th) tragically claimed the life of a professional who was working on assembling the structures for the show. First responders provided initial care at the scene, and the Fire Department was immediately called to transport the patient. Unfortunately, the professional passed away at the hospital”.

“At this time, we are providing all support, comfort, and solidarity to the responsible company, its team, and the victim's family”, they added.

The state fire brigade (CBMERJ) told ‘People’, "A worker suffered crushing injuries to his lower limbs in a lifting system. Before the arrival of emergency teams, the victim had already been removed from the equipment by other employees present”>

The Born to Run hitmaker has been one of Donald Trump's most vocal and high-profile critics but he has expressed his gratitude that the president, members of his administration and the guests at the event were not injured during the events, when an armed man allegedly fired a gun after evading security outside the ballroom at the Washington Hilton hotel, where the dinner was being staged, reports ‘Female First UK’.

Speaking on stage in Austin, Texas, during his Land Of Hope and dreams tour, Bruce said, “We begin tonight with a prayer for our men and women overseas, we pray for their safe return. We also send out a prayer of thanks that our President, nor anyone in the administration, nor anyone attending, was injured in last night's incident. We can disagree”.

He further mentioned, “We can be critical of those in power, and we can peacefully fight for our beliefs, but there is no place in any way, shape, or form for political violence of any kind in our beloved United States”.

As per ‘Female First UK’, the 76-year-old rocker has traded barbs with the president multiple times in recent years. Earlier this month, Trump branded Springsteen a "dried up prune" and called for his supporters to boycott the legendary singer.

He wrote on his Truth Social platform, "Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. “Tatau” is a sacred-ancient Polynesian tattooing tradition representing duty, identity, and service,

Johnson’s iconic tattoo runs from his left shoulder to his forearm and chest. He posted a throwback picture of the art from when he was freshly inked.

Speaking of the journey, the former star wrestler shared that each symbol represents gratitude to his ancestors, past life, and future.

“‘The art that is forever’. Every symbol, every marking, tells a very personal story that’s a reflection of my gratitude for my ancestors and my life’s past, my inspired hope for life’s future, and the most important part of my life’s story - to live fully present, in the now,” Johnson wrote.

The 53-year-old star said that before getting to work, the actor and his artist prayed.

“My tattoo artist and I talked for hours, we definitely drank our kava, we definitely prayed ~ then we went to work.”

It took over 60 hours to complete the tatau.

“3 total sessions. 60+ hours. My tatau was complete.
