Lucknow, March 3 (SocialNews.XYZ) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday praised his government's prompt actions following the tragic stampede at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on January 29.

He said that the swift action ensured timely medical aid for victims and prevented widespread panic.

He also refuted reports of pollution at the Sangam during the religious event, asserting that the situation was handled with urgency and care.

Addressing a gathering of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and Indian Postal Service officials here on Monday, the Chief Minister underlined the scale of the situation, saying: “We did not allow the incident to be excessively highlighted, as eight crore devotees and sadhus were present in Prayagraj and the Kumbh Mela area at the time, and panic could have worsened the situation."

At least 30 devotees were killed and 60 others injured in the stampede at the Sangam ghat during Mauni Amavasya. Chief Minister Adityanath spoke about the complexities of managing such large-scale events, underlining that in addition to millions of devotees, seers and sadhus from 13 Akhadas were also scheduled for the ritualistic 'Amrit Snan' (holy dip) that morning.

The CM said that two major challenges arise during such events. Determining the bathing order among the Akharas, which has historically led to disputes, and ensuring the ritual proceeds smoothly at the scheduled time of 4 AM, he explained. Despite the tragedy, all Akhadas were prepared to proceed with the ‘snan,’ but the administration stepped in to postpone the event.

"I personally requested them to delay the ritual to manage the situation,” CM Adityanath said, adding that officials monitored the crowd closely, evacuated the Sangam area by noon, and ensured the 'snan' resumed by 2:30 PM.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of effective crisis management, stating, "In difficult situations, many people panic and give up, but we must develop the strength to make firm decisions with patience and control."

He also underlined the need for coordination among stakeholders, including devotees, sadhus, and administrative officials.

"I personally initiated dialogues to maintain order and ensure smooth execution of the event," he added.

New Delhi, March 3 (SocialNews.XYZ) In a heartfelt gesture to bring the sacredness of Maha Kumbh to those who couldn't attend, the organisers have made it a point to make available the holy Ganga water to far-off locations including Ayodhya and Noida. Those who couldn't attend the Maha Kumbh celebrations, for whatsoever reasons, got a chance to lay claim to the 'Ganga jal' without walking a mile as this has been brought to their doors.

After the conclusion of the Maha Kumbh, which concluded on the auspicious day of Maha Shivratri, this initiative to ferry holy waters of Triveni Sangam from Prayagraj was started for the people who couldn’t make it to the pilgrimage.

The government’s initiative is receiving all-round appreciation, particularly among the locals in Ayodhya and Noida, who are thrilled by the gesture.

Talking to IANS, one local resident in Ayodhya said: “I feel blessed to receive the Ganga Jal. We couldn’t attend the Maha Kumbh due to various reasons, but now we feel connected to it. I plan to share this water with my family and sprinkle it around our home to bring blessings."

Another resident echoed similar sentiments, saying, "This is a wonderful initiative by the government. To receive 'Ganga Jal' at our doorstep makes me feel proud. I’m honored to have it in my home."

MP Singh, the Chief Fire Officer in Ayodhya, explained how the distribution of Gangajal was being done in areas.

He said, “The fire brigade vehicles that were deployed in Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh returned with Ganga Jal. Today, we held a distribution ceremony under the guidance of senior officers. These vehicles carried four and a half thousand litres of holy water, and we began distributing it this morning. Around one-third of the water has already been given out, and the programme will continue until it’s all distributed.”

Similarly, Noida residents were equally moved with the initiative. In Sector 52, a tanker full of Ganga water arrived at the community hall. Long queues of locals was seen waiting to receive the holy water.

One Noida resident expressed gratitude, saying, "This is a great step by the government for those of us who couldn’t make it to the Kumbh. We are now able to receive the holy water right here in our own locality."

Another local remarked, "This initiative is a reflection of our rich spiritual heritage. The government has ensured that people can connect with the sacredness of the Kumbh and feel a deeper sense of belonging to 'Sanatan Dharma.'"

The Maha Kumbh, which officially concluded on February 26, saw more than 660 million pilgrims gather in Prayagraj for a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, making it the largest human gathering in the world. Even after the festival’s conclusion, the sacred waters continue to flow to devotees, extending the spiritual blessings of the event far beyond its physical end.

This distribution of Ganga water serves as a symbolic gesture of inclusion, ensuring that the divine experience of the Maha Kumbh reaches those who, for various reasons, could not be part of this historic gathering. The government’s efforts are seen as a way to keep the spirit of the Kumbh alive in the hearts of people across the country.

New Delhi, March 1 (SocialNews.XYZ) Maha Kumbh, which was organised in Prayagraj, not only showcased the spiritual grandeur of Sanatan Dharma but also set a new benchmark in the field of crowd management. On average, 15 to 17.5 million devotees took a dip at the Sangam every day, and they returned to their destinations without any problems.

Managing such a massive number of people was a challenge, which was efficiently handled by the government and administration, presenting it as a model to the world.

Over the 45 days of this grand event, more than 660 million devotees participated. This number is nearly half of India's total population. In fact, during these 45 days, the Maha Kumbh Nagar became the third most populated area in the world, after India and China.

An elaborate plan aimed at skilful crowd management was in fact developed for the Maha Kumbh religious congregation. Several separate routes were arranged for the entry and exit, which resulted in ensuring smooth crowd flow. In addition to this, a control room ensured 24/7 monitoring for swift action to be taken in case of an overcrowding situation at any location.

Moreover, separate parking areas were created for devotees coming from different directions, preventing traffic disruptions. This management not only became a topic of discussion in India but also on a global scale.

Other notable examples of crowd management globally include the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, where millions of Muslims gather in Mecca every year. There, digital technology and route planning are used to control the crowd. Similarly, Brazil's Carnival attracts millions of people, with coordination between police and administration to maintain order.

However, the scale and complexity of the Maha Kumbh make it unique. While Hajj and Carnival manage crowds of 2 to 2.5 million people at most, Maha Kumbh saw daily attendance of 10 to 15 million devotees. On the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, this number reached a peak of 80 million. Over 45 days, the number exceeded 50 million twice, 35 million three times, 20 million five times, and 10 million 30 times. Such numbers have no comparison to any other event worldwide.

The Maha Kumbh also incorporated modern technologies like AI-based cameras, drones, and holding areas. This event became not only a symbol of faith but also set a global standard in crowd management. The success of the Uttar Pradesh government and administration will inspire future large-scale events worldwide.

Prayagraj, Feb 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) As the Maha Kumbh 2025 came to a close, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Prayagraj to honour the unsung heroes who played a crucial role in the success of the grand event—sanitation workers.

These dedicated individuals were celebrated for their tireless contributions to maintain cleanliness during the 45-day religious gathering, which saw a record footfall of over 66 crore devotees.

In recognition of their hard work, CM Yogi announced a generous reward: each sanitation worker would receive a bonus of Rs 10,000 along with a monthly salary of Rs 16,000. A total of 15,000 sanitation workers were deployed throughout the Kumbh Mela, ensuring the cleanliness and smooth operation of the event. Their efforts were essential in keeping the sprawling event site pristine amid the massive influx of pilgrims.

The sanitation workers were deeply moved by the honour bestowed upon them.

Speaking to IANS, Mahesh, one of the workers, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I feel extremely honoured by CM Yogi. I am thankful for this recognition."

Another worker shared similar sentiments, "It feels wonderful to be recognised by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. I also want to thank Prime Minister Modi for believing in us."

Others echoed the same sense of pride. "I am truly grateful for this honour. To be chosen among so many is a special feeling," said one worker.

Earlier in the day, CM Yogi had led a cleanliness drive at Prayagraj's Arail Ghat, participating alongside sanitation workers and ministers in a Shramdaan (manual labour) effort. This move further highlighted the government's commitment to ensuring the cleanliness of the event.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, held in Prayagraj from January to February 2025, concluded with record-breaking attendance, with over 66 crore visitors. The event brought together people from all corners of India to bathe at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also praised the efforts of the Uttar Pradesh government, the local residents, and the Centre, commending the seamless organisation that allowed such a massive event to unfold successfully.

New Delhi, Feb 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday highlighted the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj as a monumental event that has not only strengthened India's spiritual legacy but has also set a new benchmark in management, planning, and policy-making.

In a blog dedicated to the grand gathering, PM Modi emphasised how the Maha Kumbh has emerged as a subject of study for management professionals, policymakers, and researchers in the spiritual domain. He noted that the scale and organisation of the event have no parallel in the world.

"This Maha Kumbh event held in Prayagraj has become a subject of new study for management professionals of the modern era and for planning and policy experts. Today, there is no comparison to such a huge event in the entire world, there is no other example like this," he wrote.

Reflecting on its deeper spiritual significance, PM Modi underlined how the enthusiasm of millions of devotees reflected India's growing confidence in its heritage.

"If people doing research in the spiritual field study this enthusiasm of crores of Indians, they will find that India, which is proud of its heritage, is now moving ahead with a new energy. I believe, this is the sound of the change of era, which is going to write a new future for India," he stated.

The Prime Minister expressed awe at the sheer number of people who arrived at the Triveni Sangam without formal invitations or scheduled instructions.

"The whole world is surprised how such a large number of crores of people gathered on a river bank, at the Triveni Sangam. These crores of people had neither received a formal invitation nor any prior information about the time to arrive. People simply set out for the Maha Kumbh... and were blessed by taking a dip in the holy Sangam," he said.

Recalling the unforgettable moments from the event, the Prime Minister shared his emotional connection with the devotees' experiences. "I cannot forget those pictures... I cannot forget those faces filled with immense joy and satisfaction after bathing. Be it women, elderly or disabled people, everyone did whatever they could to reach Sangam," he said.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the overwhelming participation of the younger generation, calling it a reassuring sign for India's cultural continuity.

"And it was very pleasing for me to see that today's young generation of India reached Prayagraj in such large numbers. The youth of India coming forward to participate in the Maha Kumbh sends a very big message. This strengthens the belief that the young generation of India is the carrier of our values and culture and understands the responsibility of taking it forward and is also determined and dedicated towards it," he remarked.

He further noted how the Maha Kumbh had an impact beyond the physical gathering, as those unable to attend in person still felt deeply connected.

"The number of people who reached Prayagraj for this Maha Kumbh has definitely set a new record. But in this Maha Kumbh, we also saw that those who could not reach Prayagraj also got emotionally involved in this event. Those who took the water of Triveni Tirtha with them while returning from Kumbh, a few drops of that water also gave the same virtue to millions of devotees as the Kumbh 'snan'. The way so many people were welcomed in every village after returning from Kumbh, the way the whole society bowed their heads with respect to them, is unforgettable," he said.

Emphasising the unprecedented scale of this year's event, PM Modi pointed out that the number of devotees far exceeded expectations.

"This is something that has never happened before in the last few decades. This is something that has laid a foundation for many centuries to come," he noted.

He acknowledged that the administration had estimated the turnout based on previous Maha Kumbh experiences, but the actual participation shattered all projections.

"In Prayagraj, a much larger number of devotees arrived than was imagined. One reason for this was that the administration had also made this estimate based on the experiences of the previous Kumbh. But almost twice the population of America participated in the Maha Kumbh of unity and took a dip," he stated.

The Maha Kumbh 2025 has now not only reinforced its position as the world's largest religious gathering but has also set new standards in crowd management, logistics, and spiritual engagement.

PM Modi's reflections underscored the event's significance as a unifying force and a testament to India's cultural and spiritual strength.

New Delhi, Feb 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised the successful completion of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and stated that now, India must "unite and come together for the Maha Yagya of a Viksit Bharat."

In his blog on Maha Kumbh, he appreciated the efforts of the Centre, state government, and the locals of Prayagraj for relentlessly serving the devotees from across the country during this grand celebration that occurs every 144 years.

The Prime Minister writes,

"Maha Kumbh is over... Maha Yagya of unity is over. When the consciousness of a nation is awakened, when it breaks all the shackles of the mindset of hundreds of years of slavery and starts breathing in the air with a new consciousness, then a similar scene appears, as we saw in the Maha Kumbh of unity in Prayagraj since January 13.

On January 22, 2024, during the Praan Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, I spoke about patriotism through devotion to God. During the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, all the gods and goddesses gathered, saints and mahatmas gathered, children and old people gathered, women and youth gathered, and we witnessed the awakened consciousness of the country. This Maha Kumbh was a Maha Kumbh of unity, where the faith of 140 crore countrymen came together at one time through this one festival.

In this region of the holy city of Prayagraj, there is also the sacred area of unity, harmony and love, Shringverpur, where Lord Shri Ram and Nishadraj met. That incident of their meeting is also like the confluence of devotion and harmony in our history. This pilgrimage of Prayagraj still inspires us to have unity and harmony.

For the last 45 days, every day, I have seen how lakhs of people from every corner of the country are moving towards the banks of Sangam. The wave of sentiments of bathing at Sangam kept on increasing. Every devotee was in the mood for just one thing -- 'Snan' (holy dip) at Sangam. The confluence of Maa Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati was filling every devotee with enthusiasm, energy and faith.

This Maha Kumbh event held in Prayagraj has become a subject of new study for management professionals of the modern era, for planning and policy experts. Today, there is no comparison to such a huge event in the entire world, there is no other example like this.

The whole world is surprised how such a large number of crores of people gathered on a river bank, at the Triveni Sangam. These crores of people had neither received a formal invitation nor any prior information about the time to arrive. People simply set out for the Maha Kumbh...and were blessed by taking a dip in the holy Sangam.

If people doing research in the spiritual field study this enthusiasm of crores of Indians, they will find that India, which is proud of its heritage, is now moving ahead with a new energy. I believe, this is the sound of the change of era, which is going to write a new future for India.

Friends,

This tradition of Maha Kumbh has been strengthening the national consciousness of India for thousands of years. In every Purna Kumbh, sages, saints and people used to deliberate on the conditions of society at that time for 45 days. In this churning, the country and the society used to get new guidelines.

After this, the conditions and guidelines were reviewed in the Ardha Kumbh every 6 years. By the time of 12 Purna Kumbh, i.e. after an interval of 144 years, the guidelines and traditions that had become outdated were discarded, modernity was accepted and new traditions were created afresh by making changes according to the times.

In the Maha Kumbh held after 144 years, new messages were also given by the sages and saints, keeping in view the time and circumstances of that time. Now this time, such a complete Maha Kumbh held after 144 years has also given us the message of a new chapter in India's development journey. This message is of a 'Viksit Bharat'.

Just as in the Maha Kumbh of unity, every devotee, whether poor or rich, child or old, from the country or abroad, villager or city dweller, east or west, north or south, of any caste, of any ideology, all united for a Maha Yagya in the Maha Kumbh of unity. This unforgettable scene of one India, great India became a grand festival of self-confidence in crores of countrymen. Now, in the same way, we have to unite and come together for the Maha Yagya of a Viksit Bharat.

Friends,

Today I am also remembering the incident when as a child Shri Krishna showed the universe in his mouth to mother Yashoda. Similarly, in this Maha Kumbh, Indians and the world have seen the huge form of India's power. Now we have to move forward with this self-confidence and dedication to fulfil the resolution of a Viksit Bharat.

This is one such power of India, about which our saints had awakened the spirit in every corner of the nation during the Bhakti movement. Be it Vivekananda or Sri Aurobindo, everyone had made us aware of this. Gandhiji also realised this during the freedom movement. If we had known the immense form of this power of India after independence and had channelised this power towards the welfare of all, then it would have become a great power for India to come out of the effects of slavery. But we could not do this then. Now I am satisfied, and happy that this power of the people is uniting for a Viksit Bharat.

From Vedas to Vivekananda and from Upanishads to satellites, India's great traditions have shaped this nation. As a citizen, I wish that while remembering our ancestors and our sages with unconditional devotion, we should take new inspiration from this great Kumbh of unity and take new resolutions with us. Let us make the great mantra of unity our life mantra and dedicate ourselves to the service of God in the service of the nation and to the service of Shiva in the service of living beings.

Friends,

When I went to Kashi for the elections, my inner feelings were expressed in words, and I said -- Maa Ganga has called me. There was also a sense of responsibility in this, regarding the purity and cleanliness of our mother rivers. At the confluence of Ganga-Yamuna-Saraswati in Prayagraj, my resolve has become stronger. Ganga ji, Yamuna ji, the cleanliness of our rivers is connected to our life journey. It is our responsibility that whether the river is small or big, considering every river as a symbol of a life-giving mother, we must celebrate river festival at our convenience. This Maha Kumbh of unity has inspired us to keep our rivers clean continuously and keep strengthening this campaign continuously.

I know, organising such a huge event was not easy. I pray to Maa Ganga... Maa Yamuna... Maa Saraswati... O Maa, if we have fallen short in our worship, please forgive us. If we have fallen short in serving the devotees, who are God to me, I seek forgiveness from the public as well.

Friends,

The responsibility of serving the crores of people who reached Prayag filled with devotion and became a part of this Maha Kumbh of unity has also been fulfilled only with the power of devotion. Being an MP from UP, I can proudly say that under the leadership of Yogi ji, the government, administration and the public together made this Maha Kumbh of unity a success. Be it the Centre or the state, there was no ruler, no administrator, everyone was a servant filled with devotion. Our sanitation workers, policemen, boatmen, drivers, food cooks, and everyone made this Maha Kumbh a success by working continuously with full devotion and service. Especially, the way the residents of Prayagraj have served the devotees in these 45 days, despite facing many difficulties, is incomparable. I express my gratitude and congratulations to all the residents of Prayagraj, the people of UP.

Friends,

Seeing the scenes of Maha Kumbh, the feelings that arose in my mind from the very beginning, which have become stronger in the last 45 days, my faith in the bright future of the nation has become stronger manifold.

The way 140 crore countrymen made the Maha Kumbh of unity in Prayagraj a great identity of today's world is amazing. Impressed by the hard work, efforts and resolve of the countrymen, I will soon visit Shri Somnath, the first Jyotirlinga out of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and offer my Sankalp Pushp as a form of devotion and pray for every Indian.

The physical form of Maha Kumbh has attained completion on Maha Shivratri. But I am confident that like the uninterrupted flow of Maa Ganga, the flow of spiritual consciousness and unity of Maha Kumbh will continue to flow."

Prayagraj, Feb 26 (SocialNews.XYZ) The 45-day-long Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the largest and most spiritually significant events in the world, came to a spectacular close on Wednesday as millions of devotees gathered at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj for the final 'Amrit Snan' (holy dip) on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri.

With chants of "Har Har Mahadev" echoing through the sacred grounds, over 1.32 crore pilgrims took part in the ritual, marking the culmination of this grand spiritual gathering.

The event, which began over a month ago, saw a steady stream of devotees from across India and beyond flocking to Prayagraj to bathe in the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Sarasvati rivers. As the sun rose on Maha Shivratri, the holy waters of the Sangam became a symbol of divine purification, with devotees immersing themselves in the belief that this sacred act would cleanse their souls and grant them blessings from Lord Shiva.

The scale of the Maha Kumbh Mela this year has been unparalleled. Official reports confirm that over 65 crore people have visited Prayagraj during the 45-day event, making it one of the largest religious gatherings on earth. The festival has not only captured the imagination of devotees but has also garnered extensive international media coverage.

Publications like 'The Wall Street Journal' highlighted the extraordinary number of participants, pointing out that the Kumbh Mela hosted more pilgrims than the entire population of the US. Meanwhile, 'CNN' provided in-depth coverage of the rituals, focusing on the presence of ash-smeared Naga Sadhus and the deeply rooted spiritual traditions observed at the Sangam.

The massive influx of devotees and visitors has led to significant logistical challenges, but the event has been marked by seamless coordination. Security and crowd control measures were heightened to ensure the safety of the attendees. Police forces, paramilitary units, and disaster response teams worked tirelessly, while advanced technology, such as AI-enabled cameras and surveillance drones, was deployed to monitor the crowds in real time. These measures helped maintain order amidst the throngs of people, ensuring that the sacred rituals went uninterrupted.

Managing the logistics of such a massive gathering required a great deal of preparation. Authorities ensured that a "no vehicle zone" was enforced in the Mela area and throughout Prayagraj to reduce congestion. Special trains were arranged to transport pilgrims, and the North Eastern Railway (NER) deployed additional trains to handle the heavy rush of travellers. The Uttar Pradesh government worked closely with law enforcement agencies, disaster management forces, and medical teams to provide a safe environment for the devotees.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday personally monitored the situation from the control room in Gorakhpur, ensuring that everything ran smoothly as millions gathered to perform their sacred rituals. His efforts were complemented by an extensive security presence, including the deployment of police and paramilitary forces, who helped ensure the safety of the pilgrims while maintaining the sanctity of the event.

One of the most visually stunning moments of the closing day was the grand floral shower at the Sangam. In a traditional gesture of respect and reverence, 20 quintals of rose petals were showered on the devotees as they took their final dip.

The sight of these delicate petals falling from the sky created a magical atmosphere, further enhancing the spiritual significance of the occasion. The petals, which covered the pilgrims in a blanket of fragrant beauty, symbolised divine blessings and the fulfilment of the devotees’ wishes.

The rose petal shower was organised by the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Yogi Adityanath, as a way to honour the devotees who had participated in the final ritual of the Kumbh Mela. This gesture added a touch of grandeur and festivity to the concluding moments of the event, leaving everyone present with a sense of profound spiritual connection.

Maha Kumbh Mela is more than just a religious event; it is a celebration of faith, unity, and the enduring spirit of devotion. Throughout the 45-day festival, pilgrims from all walks of life came together to participate in the sacred rituals, regardless of their background or status. The sight of millions of devotees, from different parts of India and the world, coming together to bathe in the holy waters of the Sangam serves as a testament to the power of spirituality to bring people together.

The festival's significance is not just in the religious rituals but also in its capacity to unite individuals across regional, cultural, and linguistic boundaries. As millions converged at the Sangam, they were reminded of their shared heritage and collective spiritual journey. The Maha Kumbh Mela thus stands as a symbol of India’s rich spiritual tradition, one that continues to inspire people from all corners of the globe.

Over the course of the event, the Maha Kumbh Mela witnessed six key bathing dates, including Paush Purnima, Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya, Basant Panchami, Maghi Purnima, and Maha Shivratri. These dates were marked by large gatherings of devotees, each participating in a different aspect of the festival, from the sacred dips at the Sangam to prayer ceremonies at the temporary temples built for the occasion.

The final day of the Kumbh, Maha Shivratri, was particularly significant, as it marked both the closing of the festival and the culmination of weeks of devotion. The day was not just about taking a holy dip; it was a celebration of Lord Shiva, his cosmic dance, and the divine love between him and Goddess Parvati. On this day, devotees offered prayers, performed rituals, and recited hymns in unison, reinforcing their devotion and spiritual resolve.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, though deeply rooted in Indian culture, has become a global event, attracting not only Indians but also people from across the world. Pilgrims and tourists from countries such as Nepal, and Sri Lanka, and even distant places like the US, Russia, Italy and Japan participated in the festivities, drawn by the sheer scale and the unique spiritual experience offered by the festival.

For many, the Maha Kumbh Mela is not just a religious event but a life-changing experience—an opportunity to cleanse the soul, seek blessings, and connect with millions of others in a collective expression of faith.

As the final 'Amrit Snan' on Maha Shivratri brought down the curtains on the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela, the event left behind a lasting impact on all who participated. From the grand flower showers to the mesmerising sight of pilgrims immersing themselves in the holy waters, this year’s Maha Kumbh Mela will remain etched in the hearts of millions as a celebration of faith, unity, and divine blessings.

Prayagraj, Feb 26 (SocialNews.XYZ) As of Wednesday noon, over one crore pilgrims have taken the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, marking an unprecedented surge of devotees in Maha Kumbh on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.

With thousands gathering for the final holy dip, the Maha Kumbh is concluding with a historic spiritual fervour.

To manage the massive influx, extensive security measures have been deployed, particularly around prominent Lord Shiva temples. The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has ensured smooth crowd management, with officials confirming the seamless execution of arrangements.

Adding to the grandeur, a spectacular shower of 20 quintals of rose petals adorned the pilgrims as they performed the sacred ritual at the Sangam. The floral tribute, organised by the state government, heightened the spiritual ambience and was received with immense joy and devotion.

Pilgrims from across the country, along with international visitors, have expressed their awe at the scale and sanctity of the Maha Kumbh.

A foreign devotee, experiencing the event for the first time, shared, "It feels deeply spiritual and special. I've attended many festivals, but India is truly unique... I can't put it into words."

Another devotee expressed gratitude, saying, "I feel fortunate to witness this divine event. The arrangements are excellent, and everything is functioning smoothly."

Despite the overwhelming turnout, CM Yogi Adityanath's continuous monitoring has ensured the event remains well-organised. Pilgrims have widely praised the efficient arrangements, highlighting the seamless management of the world's largest religious gathering.

Providing security details, ADG Prayagraj Bhanu Bhaskar told IANS, "Since morning, large crowds have been gathering at the ghats. So far, 41 lakh people have taken a dip, bringing the total number of visitors to 64.77 crores. A strong police presence has been deployed at all Shivalayas across the city, apart from the Sangam, to ensure smooth darshan and worship."

Elaborating on the movement strategy, he added, "Our traditional exit route passes through Triveni via Mahavir Ho and Akshay Bhatt Ho, but we have activated additional exit routes. Every Shiv temple has designated entry and exit points to manage the crowd efficiently."

DIG Maha Kumbh, Vaibhav Krishna, emphasised that crowd management has been highly effective, stating, "There is no VIP movement today, and no mechanised boats are allowed at the ghats -- only manually operated paddle boats are in operation. Police forces are stationed at all Shiva temples to ensure orderly water offerings and darshan."

The Maha Kumbh 2025 has set an unparalleled record with over 64 crore devotees taking part in the holy dip, making it the largest human gathering in history.

Breaking down the numbers, 1.70 crore devotees bathed on Paush Purnima, 3.50 crore on Makar Sankranti, 7.64 crore on Mauni Amavasya, 2.57 crore on Basant Panchami, and 2.04 crore on Magh Purnima, underscoring the spiritual and cultural significance of this grand event.

May Lord Shiva, the lord of the three worlds, and the holy river Mother Ganga bless everyone, this is my prayer. Har Har Mahadev!"

Devotees from all corners of the country have arrived, and some international visitors have also expressed their joy at the spiritual experience.

One foreign devotee, who arrived at the Sangam for the first time, shared her feelings: "We just arrived here, but it feels very spiritual and special. I've been to many festivals, but India is truly unique... I can't explain it in words."

Another female devotee expressed her gratitude, saying, "I feel very blessed and fortunate that I was able to come here. The ambience is so good, and everything is functioning smoothly."

A local devotee also praised the arrangements at the ghats: "The ghats are well-arranged, keeping in mind that no devotee should face any problems. Thanks to the management."

The city administration, under the guidance of Uttar Pradesh’s leadership, has ensured the safety and comfort of the devotees.

Rajesh Dwivedi, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prayagraj, shared his views on the arrangements for Mahashivratri Snan: “Today marks the last holy dip of Maha Kumbh2025, drawing devotees from across the country. A massive crowd has gathered for the sacred bath, with pilgrims arriving by train and private vehicles. The ghats remain packed with devotees seeking blessings."

Despite the overwhelming number of devotees, all arrangements have been made to ensure smooth operations. From transportation to crowd control, the government has left no stone unturned in facilitating a spiritual experience for all.

Prayagraj, Feb 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) As the Maha Kumbh Mela approaches its grand finale, the steady flow of devotees continues unabated. Despite the major bathing festivals having concluded, the spirit of devotion remains as strong as ever, with pilgrims flocking to the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati for their ritual bath.

The arrival of groups from various states and countries continues, with one such devotees of 1,000 people from Karnataka making their way to Prayagraj on Monday. Their arrival marks another instance of gratitude toward the exemplary arrangements made for the millions of pilgrims participating in this historic spiritual gathering.

The devotees, who had come from distant corners of Karnataka, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the government's thoughtful arrangements, which have ensured that the pilgrims have access to comfortable and convenient facilities -- from bathing areas and meditation spots to food and shelter. They were particularly thankful to the Adani Group and ISKCON, who have played an instrumental role in managing food and accommodation for the devotees.

Kavita, a devotee from Karnataka, shared her experience with IANS, saying, "The arrangements here are truly remarkable. After our long journey, we were exhausted, but we were provided with delicious food and a comfortable place to rest. We feel truly blessed to be here, and I would like to extend my thanks to the Adani Group for their generosity in providing such quality food. I also want to express my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for ensuring everything is so well-organised. We never imagined that we would receive such a warm welcome."

Jayant, another devotee, also praised the efforts of the Adani Group and ISKCON for ensuring that pilgrims' needs were met.

"Adani and ISKCON have made this experience so much easier for everyone. They've been providing not just food but a sense of comfort and security. We really appreciate all their hard work to make this journey easier and more memorable for us," he remarked.

For Praveen, who is visiting the Maha Kumbh for the first time, the experience was overwhelming.

"This is my first Maha Kumbh, and I'm amazed by the hospitality. The Adani Group and ISKCON have truly exceeded our expectations. The facilities, the food, the shelter -- everything has been taken care of in the best way possible. We are incredibly thankful to them for this support," he shared.

Saumya Ragi, a devotee from Nepal who is part of a 1,000-strong team, echoed similar sentiments, saying, "We are receiving excellent facilities from both ISKCON and the Adani Group. It's been an unforgettable experience, and we are grateful for their care and generosity."

Ram Kishore Das, an ISKCON priest, explained the scale of their operations during the Maha Kumbh.

"Every day, ISKCON and Adani Group work together to provide food to lakhs of people. Yesterday, we received a call from the District Magistrate, Ravinder Ji, informing us of a large group from Karnataka."

He emphasised that we should make sure these pilgrims feel welcome and comfortable, even though they’ve come from the South to the North.

"We coordinated with the administration and the Adani team to ensure they were greeted at the station and brought here. After their bath at the Sangam, they were offered Prasad and Maha Prasad -- traditional meals like daal, roti, sabzi, puris, and halwa, all made with pure desi ghee and mustard oil. The devotees were so happy, and we could see the joy and gratitude in their eyes. They are deeply appreciative of the quality food and the warmth with which they've been served."

He continued, "The food prepared by ISKCON is not just a meal; it's an offering to God. The Prasad we give is blessed at the confluence of Prayag, and we feel privileged to serve the pilgrims in this sacred space. We are equally blessed to have had the opportunity to serve them, and we thank them for their kind words and blessings."

As the Maha Kumbh Mela draws to a close, the atmosphere in Prayagraj remains one of unity and devotion. The final 'Amrit Snan' will take place on February 26, 2025, marking the culmination of this monumental spiritual event.

Raipur, Feb 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) In a unique initiative under the directives of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, prisoners across Chhattisgarh were given a bath with sacred Sangam water inside jail premises on Tuesday.

Following the example set by the Uttar Pradesh government, the special event was conducted in five central jails, 20 district jails, and eight sub-jails across the state.

The aim was to foster mental and spiritual well-being among the inmates by providing them with an opportunity to partake in the revered tradition of bathing in the holy Ganga.

Earlier on Sunday, Sharma, who also holds the Home portfolio, had announced the initiative, describing it as a step towards "spiritual purification through a collective Ganga water bath" for prisoners in the state's jails.

He emphasised that many inmates harbour the wish to participate in this sacred ritual for spiritual merit, and the state government sought to fulfil this aspiration.

Acknowledging the deep cultural values embedded in Indian traditions, Sharma noted that the government's decision to organise this event reflects its commitment to the moral and spiritual rehabilitation of prisoners.

He stressed that such programmes contribute significantly to reforming inmates, fostering positive energy, and preparing them for a better future upon reintegration into society.

Organised during the historic occasion of Maha Kumbh, the event aimed to bring spiritual enrichment to the inmates, helping them take a step forward towards self-purification and moral upliftment.

Special arrangements were made by the jail administration to ensure a meaningful spiritual experience, and the inmates enthusiastically participated in the initiative.

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma expressed his commitment to continuing such initiatives, stating that similar programmes would be implemented as part of the broader effort toward prisoner reform and rehabilitation.

He highlighted the importance of these steps in not only improving the mental well-being of inmates but also fostering positive changes in their social lives.

"This initiative is aimed at giving a new direction to prisoners so they can reintegrate into society in a positive manner. Generating positive energy among them will enable them to lead better lives," he said.

Sharma further emphasised that organising such events in prisons would bring visible positive changes in inmates' lives, helping them make meaningful contributions to society in the future.

"Our goal is to bring lasting positive transformation in the lives of prisoners, and we are committed to turning this vision into reality," he added.

Prayagraj/New Delhi, Feb 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) With just a day left for the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj to wrap up, the grand event showed how it has been a divine experience for millions as devotees take the holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, unshakable by the challenges of immense crowds and traffic congestion.

Pilgrims describe feeling a soothing breeze of peace shrouding them as they take 'snan' (sacred dip) in the confluence of the three holy rivers -- Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati.

Meanwhile, extensive arrangements have been put in place to accommodate over 100 crore devotees at the world's largest spiritual gathering, which takes place once every 144 years.

The sight of devotees moving forward with unwavering determination reflects the spiritual magnetism of this once-in-144-years grand gathering.

These preparations, beyond what most could have imagined, have ensured a seamless experience for pilgrims.

The Uttar Pradesh Police has deployed over 10,000 personnel, including officers from local police stations, paramilitary forces, and special units, to manage the swelling crowds and maintain order and traffic.

These personnel tirelessly assist pilgrims, guiding them through the bustling streets of Prayagraj -- from railway stations to bus terminals and parking lots.

Their duty goes beyond security; they are also seen helping elderly devotees by carrying their belongings and escorting them safely to the Sangam ghats.

Resting tents have been built for weary travellers who walk for hours to reach the holy site. Despite the long distances, the pilgrims' energy remains undiminished, their enthusiasm soaring as they chant "Har Har Gange" and "Om Namah Shivaay" while making their way to the sacred waters.

Devotees firmly believe that all their tiredness and exhaustion disappear the moment they take a 'snan' in the Triveni Sangam. This faith and devotion keeps them moving ahead, embracing the spiritual experience of this pilgrimage journey.

Sanitation and hygiene have also been given foremost importance, with over 1.5 lakh toilets, soak pits, and water taps installed across the city. Eco-friendly chemical solutions and modern jet spray cleaning technology ensure cleanliness and odour-free sanitation facilities.

Trash skimmer machines to collect 10 to 15 tonnes of waste each day from the Ganga and Yamuna rivers during the Maha Kumbh have been deployed by the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation. The collected waste is then processed and recycled efficiently to ensure the rivers remain clean.

Regular announcements are made for devotees who get lost or separated from their families or groups.

One of the detailed descriptions of arrangements is the iron plates, placed on the temporary pathways on the sandy terrain to prevent slipping and facilitate smooth movement for both pedestrians and vehicles. Water is regularly sprinkled on these iron plates to maintain their grip on the sand, ensuring the safety of all devotees.

People are also seeking blessings from Naga Sadhus, known for their matted dreadlocks and ash-covered bodies, and other saints across the Mela area.

A major attraction of the Maha Kumbh this year has also been the magnificent display of 12 Jyotirlingas, crafted from an astonishing 7 crore 51 lakh Rudraksha beads.

Located in Sector 6 of the Mela area, each Jyotirlinga stands 11 feet high, 9 feet wide, and 7 feet thick, adorned with sacred Rudraksha garlands, drawing thousands of devotees in awe.

The Maha Kumbh Mela dazzles in a breathtaking display of vibrant lights, cementing its status as the largest spiritual gathering on earth. The panoramic view from Shastri Bridge has become a favourite spot for devotees, mesmerised by the grandeur and divine ambience of the festival.

One of the most revered Hindu festivals, the Maha Kumbh, commenced on January 13 and will culminate on February 26, coinciding with Maha Shivratri. With only a day remaining before the grand event ends, pilgrims continue to flock to Prayagraj.

The spiritual city of Prayagraj remains abuzz with activity, never resting as pilgrims from all corners of the world continue to arrive and partake in the sacred bathing ritual around the clock.

Devotees from across the world come with the hope of cleansing their souls, believing that a dip in the holy waters washes away sins and brings them closer to salvation.

Among the bustling crowds, small children selling 'Chandan' and 'kumkum' are seen joyfully making earnings for themselves. Some of them swim near the ghats where rituals are performed, eagerly collecting coconuts and other offerings as they are placed in the river, only to resell them the following day -- a small yet enterprising way of making an extra income.

The Maha Kumbh has been a spiritually enriching experience for crores of devotees. Despite the unfortunate incidents of stampedes, the enthusiasm remains high, with pilgrims undeterred by the struggles of long walks, crowded spaces, and hours of being stuck in traffic.

For them, every hardship endured on this pilgrimage is a testament to their unwavering faith, as they believe that trials and tribulations are an inseparable part of any 'teerth yatra.'

Prayagraj, Feb 24 (SocialNews.XYZ) As the Maha Kumbh Mela draws to a close, the Uttar Pradesh (UP) government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the final holy bath, or 'Amrit Snan,' on Mahashivratri proceeds without a hitch. With millions of devotees expected to descend upon Prayagraj for this auspicious occasion, authorities are ramping up every aspect of the event to guarantee safety, comfort, and smooth logistics for all participants.

The 'Amrit Snan' on Mahashivratri marks the grand conclusion of the Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the world’s largest religious gatherings. The significance of this final bath is profound, and the state government has prepared meticulously for the thousands of pilgrims who will flock to the Sangam Ghat and other bathing spots, marking the grand finale of this sacred event.

Talking to IANS, Prayagraj’s District Magistrate (DM), Ravindra Kumar Mandar shared details of the extensive measures being taken to ensure the success of the event.

"The preparations for Mahashivratri and the final holy bath of the Maha Kumbh are in full swing. Our honourable Chief Minister has given clear instructions, and all officials and staff are on the ground, ensuring that everything runs smoothly," Mandar added.

"We are continuously receiving feedback from devotees, which allows us to adjust our plans as needed. From barricades to security at the temples and ghats, everything is set in place. We have also deployed police personnel at key points to maintain order and safety. The focus is on ensuring a smooth experience, from the holy darshan at Shiva temples to the ritual bath at the Sangam Ghat,” he said.

To address concerns about traffic and congestion, the Prayagraj DM assured that everything was well-managed.

"We’ve activated over 110 parking areas across the city and have coordinated with the police, railways, and the roadways department to ensure that traffic remains smooth. Diversion schemes are in place, and our officers are stationed at strategic points to guide the crowds efficiently,” Mandar stated.

"The crowd management plan has been carefully designed to ensure that every devotee can safely reach the fair area and return to their destinations without any hassles," he added.

Recognising the challenges posed by such a massive event, the administration is also taking steps to minimise inconvenience to the local population, particularly students.

As the Mahashivratri bath coincides with the examination season, the district magistrate shared an important update regarding Board exams.

"To accommodate the students, we’ve rescheduled the 10th and 12th Hindi exams that were set for today, February 24, to March 9. All other exam schedules will remain unchanged, and students have been informed accordingly," Mandar stated.

"We are committed to ensuring that students face no inconvenience during this period."

One of the largest festivals observed by Lord Shiva's devotees, Mahashivratri, is one of the most auspicious Hindu festivals. On this day, Hindus offer prayers to Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati, as the festival celebrates their union.

New Delhi, Feb 24 (SocialNews.XYZ) As the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj nears its conclusion, the enthusiasm and faith of the pilgrims remain undiminished. With just a few days left before the grand Maha Shivratri festival on February 26, waves of devotees continue to pour into the sacred city for a dip on the auspicious day.

The Maha Kumbh has seen a record surge of pilgrims, and continues to witness devotees taking holy dips in the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers.

Speaking to IANS on Monday, a female devotee from Rajasthan expressed her satisfaction with the arrangements, stating, “Everything is so well-managed here. We took a holy dip very smoothly, and I would suggest everyone should visit here. I am so grateful to Chief Minister Yogi for this management. Every state should have a CM like him.”

Another devotee shared his appreciation for the authorities’ efforts, adding, “The authorities here are very alert and working hard for our comfort and safety. I would like to say that every rumour regarding the quality of water and other concerns is false. The water is very clean, and the management is excellent. I’m thankful to CM Yogi for this wonderful arrangement.”

A devotee who took a holy dip early on Monday remarked, “I took a holy dip early in the morning on Monday; it was a peaceful and divine experience. Everything is so well-managed here.”

A devotee from Gujarat also expressed his admiration for the scale of the event, saying, “CM Yogi has proven the power of Sanatan Dharma by organising this Maha Kumbh. The crowd of devotees gathered here is incomparable to anywhere in the world. I took a holy dip here, and after so many people taking a dip the water is still clean and pure.”

A female devotee, carrying her child on her shoulder, shared her joy with the arrangements, stating, “I felt really good being part of this Maha Kumbh.”

As the Kumbh Mela continues, the management and cleanliness of the event have received widespread praise from pilgrims, with many thanking Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the smooth conduct of the event.

New Delhi, Feb 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) The sacred banks of Triveni Sangam continue to witness a massive influx of devotees as the grand Maha Kumbh 2025 progresses in Prayagraj.

With just five days left before its conclusion on February 26, pilgrims are making the most of this spiritual gathering, taking holy dips and participating in religious activities.

Despite the enormous crowds, devotees are appreciating the arrangements and cleanliness maintained at the venue.

A female pilgrim expressed her gratitude, saying, “The management here is excellent. Even with such a large crowd, everything is so well-organised and clean. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself participated, and I would like to thank CM Yogi Adityanath and PM Modi for ensuring smooth arrangements.”

Another female devotee, celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary, shared her joy: "We came here on this special occasion to take a holy dip in the Sangam. The experience has been wonderful. The arrangements are truly commendable. I would like to say, 'Yogi-Modi Zindabad' for their efforts in making this event a success."

Many devotees have echoed similar sentiments about the cleanliness and seamless management. A devotee remarked, "Everything is so well-arranged that I felt like taking a dip again and again."

With the weekend rush, the crowd at Prayagraj Railway Station and roads leading to Sangam has surged. Pilgrims, filled with devotion, are eagerly making their way to the sacred confluence for the holy dip.

Given the expected rise in footfall during the final days, Chief Secretary and DGP reviewed preparations on Friday to ensure smooth management. Officials have assured that arrangements for Maha Shivratri on February 26 will be as extensive as those for Vasant Panchami and Maghi Purnima.

In light of the increasing vehicular pressure, the government has deployed seven senior officers for efficient traffic and crowd management. As the Maha Kumbh 2025 nears its grand conclusion, devotees are urged to make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime experience, immersing themselves in spiritual bliss at the holy Triveni Sangam.

Guwahati, Feb 21 (SocialNews.XYZ) Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a dip in Maha Kumbh on Friday and said that words cannot describe his experience.

Taking to X, CM Sarma wrote, "Words fail to describe the experience of my dip today at Triveni Sangam, which is not just a confluence of rivers- It is a convergence of faith, spirituality and heritage of crores of Santanis."

"#MahaKumbh is the divine bridge connecting Manushya with Mahadev," he added.

CM Sarma has also praised the arrangements made by the UP administration in Maha Kumbh. The Chief Minister was accompanied by his wife, son and daughter.

On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath slammed the Samajwadi Party (SP) over its alleged attempts to defame the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj with baseless and misleading claims.

Addressing the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on the second day, CM Adityanath delivered a sharp rebuttal to the Opposition's allegations surrounding Maha Kumbh and said that it was not a government or party event but rather a celebration of society.

The Chief Minister emphasised that while the House was engaged in discussion, more than 56.25 crore devotees had taken a dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam.

He criticised the Opposition's alleged attempts to spread rumours with misleading videos targeting Sanatan Dharma, Ganga, the Hindu faith and the Mahakumbh.

"Such actions are not just an attack on Sanatan beliefs but a direct affront to the faith of 56 crore devotees and the spiritual essence of India itself," he remarked in the House.

He further stated: "The Maha Kumbh is not an event tied to any particular party or government but a grand celebration of society."

The government's role, he emphasised, is that of a humble facilitator, dedicated to fulfilling its responsibilities with the utmost sincerity.

"We see ourselves as servants entrusted with this duty and will discharge it with complete commitment. Our deep reverence for India's eternal traditions makes it our responsibility to honour and uphold them," he said.

New Delhi, Feb 21 (SocialNews.XYZ) Prayagraj is witnessing an unparalleled spiritual gathering as the Maha Kumbh 2025 continues to draw millions of devotees. On the 40th day of this sacred event, a massive crowd has gathered at Triveni Sangam to take a holy dip.

Devotees from across India and the world are arriving in large numbers to participate in this religious event. The grand fair will continue until February 26.

Despite the massive crowd gathering at the event, pilgrims appreciated the arrangements made by the Uttar Pradesh government.

A devotee from Chandigarh shared their experience, saying, "The management here is excellent. It feels like heaven with so many people gathered. Naturally, there is a rush, but given that this is the Maha Kumbh, it is expected. We took the holy dip smoothly as everything was well-organised."

Another visitor praised the efforts of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating, "Managing such a huge crowd is not easy, but the administration has done its best. With CM Yogi in charge, everything is well-managed and praiseworthy."

A female devotee said that she had a good experience while taking a holy dip.

A first-time participant expressed how transformative the experience was, "Before coming here, I thought it would be just a normal dip, but once I participated, I felt something extraordinary. I would recommend everyone to visit and be a part of this grand event. Managing even a wedding is difficult, but organising a Maha Kumbh of this scale is an incredible feat. Thanks to CM Yogi for making it so well-organised."

The official X handle of Maha Kumbh 2025 on Friday shared updates on the event, stating, "A huge crowd of devotees is thronging the Maha Kumbh Mela area to take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. This divine event, filled with faith and spiritual energy, is presenting a unique confluence of devotion."

The enthusiasm at the Maha Kumbh Mela remains high, with devotees from all over the country and beyond making their way to the holy city for the ritual.

As the Maha Shivaratri Snan approaches on February 26, thousands are still making their way to the holy site.

New Delhi, Feb 19 (SocialNews.XYZ) In a significant gesture, the Bihar BJP’s state office has sent a group of around 200 devotees from Patna to attend the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Wednesday.

The initiative was organised by Manish Sinha, the coordinator of the BJP’s NRI cell, who emphasised that this was an effort to provide an opportunity for devotees who could not travel to the Maha Kumbh on their own.

According to Sinha, "This religious event sees millions from around the world coming together to take a holy dip. For those who could not make it till now, this arrangement has been made to ensure they don't miss out on this sacred occasion."

In response to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s controversial statement calling the Kumbh a "Mrityu Kumbh (Death Kumbh)", Sinha said, “There should be no politics on this issue. It’s a matter of faith. Even Mamata Banerjee should go. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has made excellent arrangements for the Kumbh, and organising such an event is not an easy task.”

Several devotees from Patna, as they prepared for the trip, also shared their views with IANS.

Anita Sinha, a resident of Patna, shared her excitement, saying, "We are very happy that we are going without any hassles. All the facilities are being provided by the BJP. The Modi government has instilled such confidence among women that we no longer fear the crowds." Commenting on Mamata Banerjee’s remarks, Sinha added, “She made a wrong comment.”

Sunita Kumari, another devotee from Patna, was filled with joy as she prepared for the holy dip, saying, "I cannot describe the happiness of going to the Kumbh. As for Mamata Banerjee’s statement, no one can stop people from talking. Those who want to speak will keep speaking, and those who want to go will continue to go."

Ashok Kumar from Patna expressed similar sentiments, stating, "We had lost hope of going to the Kumbh, but thanks to PM Modi and the BJP, we are now going. BJP will return to power in Bihar again."

Manoj Kumar, also from Patna, expressed his gratitude, saying, "The Maha Kumbh comes only once every 144 years. We are so happy to be able to bathe during the Maha Kumbh. This would not have been possible without the help of the BJP."

Seema from Patna’s Kankarbagh area also shared her joy, stating, "We had no expectations due to the crowds, but seeing the arrangements made by the BJP, we are thrilled."

Prayagraj, Feb 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Prayagraj District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandhad on Tuesday dismissed rumours regarding the extension of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 dates, confirming that the event will conclude as scheduled on February 26, coinciding with Maha Shivratri.

Speaking with IANS, DM Mandhad clarified that people should not believe rumours until the government or administration makes an official announcement.

He emphasised that false information spreading on social media was causing unnecessary confusion among pilgrims.

"This is a rumour. The end date for the Maha Kumbh Mela is February 26. The dates of the event are finalised based on the Muhurat. Until the administration or government officially extends the date, one should not pay attention to such claims circulating on social media," he said.

Mandhad also provided an update on preparations for managing the large crowds.

"We are working under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure that devotees do not face any issues. Our focus is on easing traffic and minimising disruptions to the daily lives of residents," he added.

He further denied claims that railway platforms would be closed.

"No, that is also a rumour. There is no truth to it. We sometimes close Daraganj Railway Station in Prayagraj, but this has been done in the past as well. Other than that station, all other stations remain operational," he explained.

Since the event began on January 13, the Maha Kumbh has been breaking records. Over 50 crore pilgrims had already taken a dip in the holy Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers meet.

With a turnout exceeding the populations of most nations, Maha Kumbh 2025 is expected to be the largest religious event in history. The Uttar Pradesh government reported that by 6 p.m. on February 14 alone, over 92 lakh pilgrims had participated in the holy dip. Initially, the event was expected to attract between 40 and 45 crore attendees, but the actual number has far surpassed these estimates.

New Delhi, Feb 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) As the holy city of Prayagraj prepares for the final stages of the ongoing Maha Kumbh, the air is filled with devotion and excitement.

Despite the massive influx of devotees, the spirit of faith, enthusiasm, and devotion continues to rise, with people flocking to the sacred banks of the Ganga to take part in the divine ritual.

One devotee shared their positive experience, saying, “I heard a lot about the traffic issues and crowd management, but I didn’t face any such problems. It took me no time at all to get here, and the management is so well-organised. Everything is under control. It’s truly a beautiful experience.”

Another devotee, reflecting on the overall arrangements, said, “The arrangements here are excellent. The digital setup is impressive, and the Uttar Pradesh government has maintained impeccable order throughout the event. It’s all been so smooth and hassle-free, which has made the experience even more special.”

With millions of devotees expected to visit during this sacred festival, the state government has put in place advanced measures to ensure smooth crowd control and traffic management.

Devotees can easily navigate the holy city through digital innovations, making their journey more convenient and safe. Over 50 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in the first 36 days of the 45-day-long Maha Kumbh.

Several people have praised the arrangements made by the government for the smooth conduct of the festival, expressing their satisfaction with the facilities provided. One devotee remarked, "This is grand, a world-class Kumbh, such an event has never happened before, nor will it ever happen again. The arrangements are excellent."

Another devotee echoed similar sentiments, stating, "People are coming and taking holy dips here at the Maha Kumbh very smoothly. The management is very well-organised. Even with crores of people gathered, everything is managed well and facilitated."

A devotee from Bihar, who had travelled to the event, shared his appreciation, saying, "I came from Bihar, took a dip, and now I am heading back home. Everything was so well-arranged and controlled. We faced no issues, and I would like to thank the Yogi government."

As Maha Kumbh 2025 continues, the faith and enthusiasm of those visiting the sacred Sangam (confluence) of the Ganges, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers remain undeterred, and the careful planning of the event by the authorities has turned this year’s Maha Kumbh into a remarkable and unforgettable spiritual journey for all.
