Bambolim (Goa), Dec 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) Hyderabad FC (HFC) look to get back to winning ways after the 1-1 draw against SC East Bengal last week when they face Kiko Ramirezs Odisha FC in an exciting encounter in the Indian Super League (ISL) this Tuesday.

With 12 points from seven games, Hyderabad are currently fourth in the league table and can jump to second by winning this game. Odisha, on the other hand, have 10 points from their seven games and can break into the top-four with a positive result.

The Juggernauts made a fast start to the season but have now picked up just one win in their last five games. They played out a 1-1 draw against FC Goa in the last round and will be a tough team to face, believes Manolo Marquez, Hyderabad FC Head Coach.

"For me, Odisha probably have the best overseas contingent in the ISL. I know the coach and a few players at the club and they have a very good team," said Marquez.

"They can beat any team in the league and it is a difficult game for us. But we have a strong team and will fight for a win," he added.

Odisha have the likes of Javi Hernandez, Aridai Cabrera, and Jonathas in superb form leading into this game. Hector Rodas, Vinit Rai, and Victor Mongil have also put in some solid performance for Odisha and could prove to be a tough test for Hyderabad.

Aniket Jadhav, Bart Ogbeche, and Joel Chianese have been doing well in front of the goal with Ogbeche currently leading the list of goal scorers in the ISL. The likes of Rohit Danu, Javi Siverio, and Edu Garcia have also been impressive in games.

However, a settled backline and an industrious midfield have been the strengths of the side. Currently, Hyderabad have conceded the least goals in the ISL and Marquez revealed that this could be important for their chances of qualification this season.

"In the ISL there are a lot of goals. But if you have a balanced team, you have a chance to fight for every game. Our defence has been working very well, but it is not just them, it is the whole team working together," said Marquez speaking about his side's defensive record so far in the league.

Kiko Ramirez revealed that Odisha have no injury issues ahead of this game with both Arshdeep Singh and Sahil Panwar back to full fitness. Hyderabad FC will still have the likes of Mohammad Yasir and Halicharan Narzary missing for this game.

With a win in this game, HFC can push up to second in the league table and Marquez will hope to end 2021 with a positive result and push for a place in the top-four.

However, the Hyderabad head coach believes that it is now time to take one game at a time. "We don;t want to take any pressure. We want to play every game with our style and we play every game to win," said the Spaniard.

On Sunday, at the NRG Stadium, as the Indian Prime Minister was escorting Trump inside the venue of Howdy Modi in Houston, they were greeted by a group of children of Indian origin. While most of them greeted the two leaders with folded hands and a swarm smile, a young boy used the opportunity to click a selfie which both the leaders happily obliged.

Not only Trump shook hands with the boy of Indian origin but Prime Minister Modi himself shared a video of it on the official Twitter handle of Indian Prime Minister that has received more than 54,000 likes so far. Modi tweeted: "Memorable moments from #HowdyModi when PM @narendramodi and @POTUS interacted with a group of youngsters."

Not just it got the tweeple talking but even Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur called it an "epic selfie". He also called it "A Selfie for Lifetime!"

More than 50,000 Indian-Americans attended the "Howdy, Modi!" event in Houston on Sunday. The scale and grandeur of the event can be estimated by the fact many Congressmen, senators, Houston Mayor were in attendance apart from President Trump, of course. New York, Sep 23 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that US President Donald Trump's presence at the 'Howdy Modi' event in Houston was a "watershed moment" in the ties between New Delhi and Washington.

After the hugely successful event on Sunday, that saw Trump join Modi on stage with both reaffirming their strong friendship and bilateral ties, the Prime Minister tweeted: "Dear @POTUS @realDonaldTrump, your presence at #HowdyModi in Houston was a watershed moment in India-USA ties.

"Since assuming office, you have been a steadfast friend of India and the Indian community. Your presence indicates your respect towards India and the Indian diaspora."

Modi also posted pictures of the two leaders clasping hands, waving together to the 50,000 crowd of Indian diaspora at the event.

He also thanked all those who participated in the event, saying it will remain etched in his memory.

"Moments from Houston that will always remain a part of my memory. I thank all those who came for the #HowdyModi programme.

"The event was lively, showcasing the special features of Indian culture and accomplishments of the Indian diaspora," he posted, along with pictures of the massive crowd cheering him.

New York, Sep 23 (IANS) With an eye on next year's elections, US President Donald Trump tried at the 'Howdy Modi!' rally to reset the optics for his campaign among immigrants - a group among whom he has fared badly because of the broad brush accusation of being anti-immigrant.

Unlike his 'Make America Great Again' (MAGA) rallies for his re-election campaign where the audience is predominantly white, he was on Sunday in the midst of about 50,000 brown people - a striking visual contrast - at Houston's NRG stadium.

And it was broadcast live nationally by some channels.

His address was like his usual stump speeches proclaiming his tax cuts, low unemployment, strong economy and border security - except for the omission of partisan attacks on the Democratic opponents and the addition of elements specific to India.

Another huge difference was that Trump, who likes to be the centre of the universe, was not the main speaker at the rally for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The New York Times said he was playing a "second fiddle" and The Washington Post "an unusual role of warm-up act".

It was also the biggest crowd he has addressed during his campaign, though short of the 70,000 he had said that would be there, a number beyond the stadium's capacity.

The optics and crowd size appeared to be his main motivations to take the unprecedented step of attending a large ethnic rally for a foreign leader. In recent memory, no President has done this - and possibly never.

"The Prime Minister of India has asked me to make a speech and I will make a speech in a stadium loaded up with something like 70,000 people or whatever the maximum is," Trump said before leaving for the rally.

And probably unprecedented was also the presence of a large number of Democrats among the about 60 elected officials, including Governors, Senators and Representatives, who were on the stage before him.

For them too, the large crowd of Indians, many coming to Houston from their scattered constituencies across the nation was a draw.

The rally was an opportunity for Trump to present himself as a supporter of legal immigrants, while opposing illegal immigration, a distinction that has been erased by the media and his political opponents to make him appear an anti-immigrant racist.

"We are proud to have you as Americans," Trump said, praising the Indian diaspora for accepting American values.

Holding them out as the kind of immigrants he would like for America, he mentioned their contributions especially to medicine, technology and job creation through entrepreneurship.

"Indian-Americans are writing the story of American greatness," he added.

According to the Pew Research Centre, the nearly four million people of Indian descent are the highest earning ethnic group in the US, with a median income of $100,000, almost double that of the national median, and with 72 per cent having at least a bachelor's degree.

Trump emhasised the difference between legal and illegal immigrants to scattered applause.

"We proudly fight for our citizens," he said apparently referring also to Modi.

Trump said that he was against free benefits to those who enter the US illegally and added that he was going take care of the Indian-American citizens first - with emphasis on "citizens".

Speaking about his focus on tightening the borders, he said: "Border security is vital to India - we understand that."

While the media and Democrats have have cast him as a racist opponent of immigrants because of Trump's comments about criminal illegal immigrants, his demand for a border wall and his administration detaining illegal border-crossers and tightening the conditions for seeking asylum, in reality his stand is more nuanced with a distinction between law-abiding legal immigrants and illegal immigrants.

The rally gave him a stage to broadcast his welcome to legal immigrants.

Indian professionals now wait as long as 10 years for a green card that gives them permanent immigrant status.

Trump has proposed an immigration system similar to that of Canada and Australia that would favour professionals and the educated that would benefit Indians waiting to immigrate.

Whether his overtures to Indians - and through them to other immigrants - would make difference is another matter.

According to the Asian and Pacific Islander Vote survey, 82 per cent of Indian-Americans chose Democrat Hillary Clinton, while only 9 per cent were for Trump in the 2016 election.

Trump's outreach to Indian-Americans by attending a rally of Hindu Republicans before the election did not seem to have made a difference.

In the US, a religion-based and ethnicity-based campaign is an accepted practice and that was the first time a presidential candidate had come to a rally of Hindus.

While they make up only about 1 per cent of the US population, Indian-Americans are outsize political donors.

According to another research, Indian-Americans have contributed $1 million to Trump re-election campaign and $2 million to various Democrats fighting for their party' presidential nomination.

"The Eternal Gandhi museum will be a prized cultural landmark in Houston. I have been associated with this effort for a while. It will surely make Gandhi Ji's thoughts popular among the youth," he said.

Houston, Sep 23 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi pitched India as an attractive investment destination and said that with the "economic miracle" being wrought in the US under President Donald Trump, he would sit down with the US president to work out some deals.

Speaking at the Howdy Modi event, PM Modi said that India can achieve its target of becoming a $5 trillion economy if it remains focused.

He said the country would focus on infrastructure and exports and creating a "people friendly, investment friendly atmosphere".

"We target to spend $1.3 trillion on infrastructure," PM Modi, said adding that in the past five years, India's growth has been at 7.5 per cent, which no government in the past has managed to achieve.

"For the first time, inflation is low, the fiscal deficit is low. We are a major FDI destination," said Modi.

"President Trump has wrought an economic miracle, and this will be 'sone pe suhaga' (beneficial for India). I will sit down with President Trump, and we expect some positive result."

On a lighter note, he said: "President Trump calls me a top negotiator. But he himself is mahir (great) in the art of making deals. And I myself am learning a lot from him."

Houston, Sep 23 (IANS) US President Donald Trump said that the US and India are forging an "even stronger security partnership", with both sides set to conclude aceseveral new defence deals very soon".

Speaking before a packed 50,000 strong Indian American crowd at the NRG stadium at the Howdy Modi event, President Trump said: "US defence sales to India have reached $18 billion in the past decade.

"We are looking forward to concluding several new defence deals very soon. There are lot of them in the works."

His remark comes amid reports of India being in the process of acquiring the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System-II (NASAMS-II) from the US to secure its airspace against aerial threats ranging from drones to ballistic missiles.

The US is also in talks to offer an alternative to the Russian S-400 Triumf missile defence system to India.

He also said both sides are working together in space cooperation.

"We are creating the US Space Force and working closely with India to join hands in space cooperation. In November the US and India will demonstrate progress of our defence relationship, holding the first ever tri-service military exercise called Tiger Triumph. It's a good name, very good name," said Trump.

On trade relations, he said both sides are working to make their nations "even more prosperous than ever before".

"The economic miracles are taking place.. Indian companies are supplying tens of thousands of jobs across a range of industries. In 2018 JSW Steel announced it would invest $500 million to revitalize a shuttered steel plant."

"We welcome India's role in investment in our lone star state," he said, referring to Texas.

Referring to Indian investment in the US, he said: "India has never invested in the US like it is doing today. And I want to say it's reciprocal, because we are doing the same thing in India."

Trump said the US is working to expand American exports to India, one of the fastest growing markets.

"We are committed to ensuring that Indian people have access to the finest goods in the world, products stamped with Made in USA."

On oil and gas exports to India, he said that crude exports have grown by 400 percent and LNG continues to "soar at record numbers".

President Trump in his speech, after PM Modi welcomed him to speak, calling him "my friend, a friend of India, the great American President Donald Trump, also appealed to the four-million strong Indian American community to vote for him, saying he was the best US president for strengthening India-US ties.

"PM Modi and I have come to Houston to celebrate everything that binds the US and India, our shared dreams and bright future," he said at the Howdy Modi event, and addressing the Indian American vote bank, he said: "Also I come to offer my profound gratitude to the nearly four million Indian Americans."

Praising the Indian diaspora's contribution, he said "they enrich our culture, uphold our values, uplift our communities, you are truly proud to be American, and we are truly proud to have you as American," he said, adding that his administration is working to make things easier for them.

Appealing for their votes, he said: "If we are elected, India will have a true and great friend in the White House, and I can tell you that you have never had a better friend as president than President Donald Trump."

Houston, Sep 23 (IANS) Describing the changing scenario of the Indian economy and the targets set by the government at the 'Howdy, Modi!' event here on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke of cheap data prices in the country, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the target of $5 trillion economy.

He also said that in the last five years, the country's GDP growth has in an unprecedented manner averaged around 7.5 per cent.

Addressing the 50,000 strong Indian-American community at the NRG Stadium here with US President Donald Trump in the audience, Modi said: "Data is the new gold... The focus of Industry 4.0 is totally on data. It is India where data prices are the cheapest in the world and 1 GB data is available for 25-30 cents."

"Low-cost data is becoming the new identity of digital India, and is also redefining governance in the country," he said.

On the easing of the taxation system in India, the Prime Minister said that previously the web of taxes used to create obstacles for businesses in the country, but with the implementation of GST, the government has simplified the tax system.

He further noted that tax refunds have also become swifter and people receive refunds within 24 hours now, compared to 2-3 weeks previously.

"This time on August 31, in one day nearly 50 lakh people e-filed their income tax returns," Modi added.

He also talked about the inflation rate and growth and said that the country has entered a phase in which it is witnessing low inflation and low fiscal deficit along with high economic growth.

Describing India as one of the best FDI destinations, he said: "During 2014-2019, FDI inflow nearly doubled. The government recently eased FDI norms in single brand retail and also approved 100 per cent FDI investment in coal mining and contract manufacturing."

The Prime Minister also mentioned that CEOs of the energy majors he met in the US were happy about the recent announcement of cut in corporate tax in India.

"Energy sector CEOs are very happy and enthusiastic. There feedback is that corporate tax cut has sent a positive message to the global business leaders along with domestic businesses. This decision will make India more competitive globally," he said.

Emphasising that India has decided to become a $5 trillion economy, the Prime Minister said the country's journey towards a $5 trillion economy and the "strong" economic growth of the US under the leadership of President Trump would add new wings to the possibilities and hopes of growth and prosperity.

He further hoped that his upcoming meetings with the American President would lead to "positive results".

"I will have talks with President Trump in the next 2-3 days. I hope in these meetings too there will be positive results," he said.

Praising the US President, Modi said: "President Trump calls me a tough negotiator, but he himself has mastered the 'art of the deal' and I am learning a lot from him."

Trump, while addressing the audience before Modi, said that the US is on its way to increase exports to India.

"We are working to expand American exports to India, one of the fastest growing markets...We are committed to ensure that Indian people have access to the finest goods in the world, products stamped with the beautiful phrase 'Made in the USA'," he said.

He further said: "Yesterday we were thrilled to hear about Indian company Petronet's pledge to purchase up to 5 million tonne of LNG per year from the US, which will lead to billions of dollars of LNG exports to India in the coming years."

Trump also noted that over the last one year, crude oil exports to India grew over 400 per cent.

He also said that Indian companies are investing in the US in an unprecedented manner and the US welcomed it.

Houston, Sep 23 (IANS) With US President Donald Trump listening keenly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said India had bid "farewell" to Article 370 that went against people-centric development in Jammu and Kashmir and attacked Pakistan for making hatred towards India the hub of its governance and for fostering terrorism.

Ahead of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's meeting with President Trump likely on Monday, Modi said that India's neighbour is the breeding ground of terrorism, from 9/11 attacks in the US and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and the entire world is aware about the source of the terror.

"What India has done (revoking Article 370), there are some people who have trouble over it, they are themselves unable to even take care of their own country," he said, targeting Pakistan that has been attacking India over revocation of special status to Kashmir.

"They have made hatred towards India the centerpiece of their governance. They want 'ashanti' (disturbance). 'Woh atank to paltey hain, postey hain' (they are the breeding ground of terror), the whole world knows them, 9/11 or 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

"The time has come for a definite fight against terrorism. I want to state with emphasis that in this fight President Trump is with us strongly in the fight against terrorism, and he has shown his determination to fight against terrorism," PM Modi said, and asked the audience to stand up and give a standing ovation to the US President.

The entire audience of 50,000 stood up and applauded in unison.

Raising the issue of the revocation of Article 370, with Pakistan set to raise it in the UN General Assembly, Modi said that for the past 70 years it was proving to be a hamper to development.

"For 70 years, it was proving a big challenge that India has given a farewell to. It kept people away from the benefits of development, and from equality, and it was being used by separatists. And the Constitution that is for the rest of India is now also for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. All the discrimination that women, children and Dalits were facing, has been ended."

Modi said the legislation for the purpose was passed with two-thirds majority in both houses of Parliament, including the upper house where his government did not have majority, and the proceedings were telecast.

He asked the entire cheering audience to give a standing ovation to the Parliament for its move. "I want all of you to give a standing ovation for this," he said and the 50,000 crowd of Indian-Americans stood up, cheering and chanting "Modi, Modi", as the US President and a host of US Congressmen watched.

The standing ovation was also a move to bring home to the US President and the Congressmen the wide support that the revocation of special status in Kashmir enjoys.

Appearing at the 'Howdy, Modi!', in a rare gesture that signifies the close bond between India and the US, President Trump told the gathering of over 50,000 people at the NRG stadium here: "Indian-Americans are helping revolutionize technology to change the world and improving lives".

Thousands of Indians are working at some top American tech firms that are run by Indian-origin CEOs like Satya Nadella at Microsoft, Sundar Pichai at Google and Shantanu Narayen at Adobe, among others.

Trump further said both the countries will work together to create cutting-edge technology to benefit millions.

Signalling his support for legal immigration, Trump had said in June that he will change the H1-B visa system for professionals to ensure "certainty" and a path to citizenship for those on the visa.

"H1-B holders in the US can rest assured that changes are soon coming which will bring both simplicity and certainty to your stay, including a potential path to citizenship. We want to encourage talented and highly skilled people to pursue career options in the US," he had tweeted.

Indians are the biggest beneficiaries of the temporary H1-B visas, 76 per cent of which went to professionals from India last year, according to government statistics.

Limiting H1-B visas has been a matter of concern for India and New Delhi has taken it up with Washington as a trade-related issue.

Major US companies have warned that the limiting of H1-B visas and the long wait for permanent residence seriously affects their ability to get and retain talented staff.

A total of 85,000 H1-B visas are available each year under regulations imposed by the Congress. Of these, 20,000 are reserved for those graduating with advance degrees from US universities.

Indian men and women dressed in colourful traditional attire hailing from different parts of India, including Punjab, Maharashtra and Gujarat, were gathering for the three-hour event, which will also see US President Donald Trump share the stage with Modi in a special gesture.

The beating of drums, cheering and shouts of "Modi, Modi" went up from among the crowd. Around 50,000 members of the Indian diaspora are expected to attend the 'Howdy, Modi!' event, for which tickets were sold out many weeks ago.

The event being held at the NRG Football Stadium, one of the largest in the US, has been organised by the Texas India Forum (TIF), a non-profit organisation.

"The energy in the stadium is palpable as the crowd awaits Prime Minister Modi's address," TIF tweeted ahead of the event that has the theme 'Shared Dreams Brighter Futures'.

It said the Indian-American community has turned out in full force for the event. "Community members have travelled from across the country to be a part of this historic event," it said.

Pranav Desai, 'Howdy, Modi!' organiser and founder of the Voice of Specially Abled People, said that thousands of volunteers are working for the event. "Proud of our PM's commitment for making our country great again," he said.

Many young Indian-Americans have painted Indian and US flags on their faces.

The Indian-American community has been busy preparing for the three-hour show that will see artistes present Indian classical and folk songs and dances, among other numbers.

More than a 1,000 Gujaratis from Houston are preparing for a mega 'dandiya', a traditional Gujarati dance, to welcome the Prime Minister for the event.

TIF spokesperson Gitesh Desai said that Indian-Americans from across the US are attending the 'historical event'.

"Some 50,0000 attendees from the Indian-American communities and people from the 48 states are attending the show. It is going to be a historical event, the largest such event held for a democratically elected head of state. No such programme has been held in the US in the past. Senators, Congressmen, Mayors and US President Donald Trump are going to attend ther event," said Gitesh Desai.

Several cultural programmes are on the anvil for the show, which has a theme 'Woven', signifying how the Indian-American community has become part of America, he said.

He added that more than 100 buses are being provided to ferry the participants.

Massive billboards have come up near the NRG Stadium and across Houston with messages of welcome for Modi, who arrived here on Saturday for a week-long visit to the US.

A car rally was also organised in Houston on Friday, ahead of the 'Howdy, Modi!' event.

According to reports, around 20,000 Pakistanis and separatist Sikhs have gathered in Houston to hold a #GoBackModi campaign, that will be held while the Howdy Modi event is on. The Pakistanis and separatist Sikhs, with the active promotion of Pakistan, have dubbed Modi as the "Face of Indian terrorism".

The protesters have already conducted a rehearsal and also held a truck rally in Houston, with large protest banners on their vehicles.

The protests come as two US-based Kashmiri activists have filed a federal lawsuit accusing Prime Minister Modi of rights violations in Kashmir. New Delhi is known to be in touch with Washington over the Prime Minister's security in view of the protests.

According to reports, the 73-page lawsuit filed by two US-based Kashmiris activists along with the Kashmir Khalistan Referendum Front (KKRF), alleges that Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Indian Army's Lt. Gen Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon, Corps Commander of Srinagar-based 15 Corps, carried out "extrajudicial killings", and inflicted "cruel, inhuman, degrading treatment or punishment" upon Kashmiris and also of "deliberate" killing of Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir, following revocation of its special status.

The 50-member Sikh delegation presented the Prime Minister with a 'saropa', and raised slogans of 'Jo Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal'. They also posed for a photo with Modi at the Post Oak Hotel, where the Prime Minister is staying.

"We are happy with Prime Minister Modi and that is why we are here. The credit for the Kartarpur corridor goes to Modi. We are very proud of him and want him to continue with his reform measures," said a member of the Sikh delegation.

"Modiji, we are with you. We are proud to be Indian," said another member.

The delegation also presented a memorandum to the Prime Minister.

"I had an excellent interaction with the Sikh community in Houston. I am delighted to see their passion towards India's development," Modi tweeted later.

The Sikh delegation also thanked Modi for removing the names of over 300 community members from blacklist.

The Indian government earlier removed from its blacklist the names of 312 Sikh foreign nationals involved in anti-India activities.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said that the community members congratulated Modi on some of the path-breaking decisions taken by the Indian government.

A member of the delegation, Avinder Chawla, sitting Commissioner, Arvin, California, said that they had submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister and thanked him for what he has done for the Sikh community. He said the fact that US President Donald Trump is joining Modi at the 'Howdy Modi' event shows the importance of the Prime Minister's leadership.

The meeting of the Sikh delegation came even as separatist Sikh groups and Pakistanis are to hold protests at Houston to coincide with the 'Howdy Modi' event on Sunday.

New York, Sep 22 (IANS) Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in New York onboard the special aircraft of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman with "mission Kashmir" in focus.

Imran Khan, who was in Riyadh to meet the Saudi authorities before leaving for the US, was stopped by the Saudi Crown Prince from using a commercial flight to travel.

"You are our special guest and you would be going to the US on my special aircraft," Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman told the Pakistan Premier.

Imran Khan was received by Pakistan's Permanent representative to the UN, Maleeha Lodhi, Pakistan Ambassador to the US, Asad Majeed Khan, and other officials in New York.

According to Lodhi, Imran Khan on arrival has launched his "mission Kashmir for Pakistan" to try and draw the world's attention towards Kashmir.

This is Imran Khan's first General Assembly visit and "he will be the voice of the Kashmiri people at the UN," Lodhi said.

Imran Khan is staying at New York's Roosevelt Hotel, which is partially owned by the PIA.

This's where most Pakistani leaders stayed till September 2008, when then President Asif Ali Zardari and then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif abandoned it for grander hotels like Waldorf Astoria, which cost at least 20 times more than the Roosevelt, Dawn reported.

Imran Khan arrived in New York during the weekend, which gives him the time to consult Pakistani diplomats and prominent members of the Pakistani-American community before meeting world leaders.

On Monday, his first informal engagement is breakfast with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

As always, the Pakistani Prime Minister's first official engagement at the UN is with the Chinese representative, and on Monday, Imran Khan will meet Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan.

At around 1 a.m. (Pakistan time) on Monday, Imran Khan meets US President Donald Trump, which could be the first of the two meetings the two are expected to have during the UN session. This would also be President Trump's second meeting with Imran Khan in less than 24 hours.

President Trump is scheduled to address a joint rally with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Houston, Texas, on September 22, hours before he meets the Pakistani Prime Minister. President Trump and PM Modi are expected to have a separate meeting before or after the rally, focusing on India-Pakistan relations.

Most world leaders will be in New York on Monday, to participate in the general debate, which begins on Tuesday.

Houston, Sep 22 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday would attend the mega 'Howdy Modi!' event being organised at the NRG stadium here and address the largest gathering ever for an elected foreign leader visiting the US, estimated at over 50,000 people.

He is scheduled to attend the event at NRG Stadium at around 8.45 p.m. (IST) and later address the audience, sais sources in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). US President Donald Trump will share the stage with the Indian Prime Minister at the event.

Later, Modi would attend a community reception at the NRG Centre after a luncheon meeting with the elected officials of NRG.

Modi will also unveil a plaque for a ceremony at the Eternal Gandhi Museum besides inaugurating the Gujarat Samaj of Houston Event Centre and the Siddhi Vinayak Temple in Houston.

He will emplane for New York at around 3 a.m. (IST) and arrive at the JFK International Airport at around 4.45 a.m. (IST).

The Prime Minister is on a seven-day visit to the US.
