Talking about her private life and relationships in the show, Pooja said: "I was married for almost 11 years. Then we decided that something is not right so why to live a lie."

Calling her former spouse a good man, she added: "He was not an actor, but he belonged to the media business, and he was a good man."

Pooja, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, revealed that they took their own separate ways with "dignity".

"I didn't want to have kids when I want kids, and I love kids. But then, I didn't want to have kids and I couldn't lie... Whatever it was, it was good. We maintained dignity and parted ways."

'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' has entered the Rs 50 crore club, with theatres increasing shows in its fourth week, according to a statement.

The film has earned Rs 50 crore GBO in three weeks in India and $500 million globally.

"Theatres have almost doubled the shows in its fourth week, with even IMAX and 4DX screens increasing their show count for the film," read the statement.

'Adipurush' on its Day 1 raked in Rs 37 crore in its Hindi version and minted only Rs 7 crore in all the Indian languages on its sixth day since release.

For the unversed, Kangana and Hrithik were at loggerheads after the actress claimed of once having an affair with him. She even called him a "silly ex" in an interview.

Now, on Instagram, Nawazuddin shared a promo for the upcoming film. In the clip he is seen sitting on a sofa and introducing himself.

He says: "Hello doston, mera naam sheru hai and log mujhe pyaar se Sheru hi bulate hain. Main Bollywood main kaam karta hun. Chhoti moti filmo ka bada producer hun."

Nawazuddin then starts showing pictures of him with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

Adding to it, he says: "Hrithik gaya hua tha isliye nahi hai."

The actor then gives a spin to his popular line from 'Gangs of Wasseypur 2' as he talks about his preferences for a suitable girl for marriage.

"Main aisi ladki dhund raha hu jo mera dhyaan rakhe lekin mujhse zyada mere bhai ka, baap ka, dada ka sabka dhyaan rakhe."

In a hilarious way, he says he has no bad habits and then asks for biodata of girls who are keen to marry him.

Captioning the clip, he wrote: "Sheru miya ki toh baat hi kuch alag hai! Most desirable bachelor aise hi thodi na kehta hai! Dekhiye inki rollercoaster journey of love, jald hi."

'Tiku Weds Sheru' also stars Avneet Kaur. It will release on Prime Video on June 23 (Friday).

Mumbai, June 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) The band 'Shakti', formed by the British guitarist John McLaughlin and master Indian percussionist, Zakir Hussain, is coming up with a new studio album after more than 45 years.

Titled 'This Moment', the album offers a set of eight new compositions and performances with McLaughlin on guitar and guitar synth and Hussain on tabla joined by vocalist Shankar Mahadevan, percussionist V. Selvaganesh and violinist Ganesh Rajagopalan.

Talking about the album, Padma Vibhushan Zakir Hussain said in a statement, "The discovery each time you sit as a group, to play and perform, is like climbing Everest from different angles. Every time it is a whole different point of view, marvelling at how you do the same but it's not the same. Having that kind of interaction, conversation between the group, the creative idea process is something that is Shakti and it is exclusive to Shakti."

The album will be released on CD and vinyl LP on June 23. India will also be the first to stream the album on Spotify India. The album also features a tribute to 'Mandolin' U. Shrinivas, a former band member of Shakti.

Talking about the album, John McLaughlin said, "'This Moment', the new 'studio' album is a true labour of love. The music on this recording represents a quantum leap in the musical evolution of Shakti. It represents 50 years of working and playing together beginning in 1973."

He added, "The numerous concerts we have played, the number of times we have been together working on our musical development, have brought us to the point where it has all been brought together here and now in the 21st Century. This album is a crystallisation of five decades of love and dedication. Our musical evolution recorded here, is really a revolution in the history of Shakti."

The compositions in the album highlight different vocal and instrumental sub-groups within Shakti as they transition between taut thematic statements and, quite naturally feature solos from McLaughlin and Rajagopalan, with rhythmic shifts, rounded up by deft vocal passages by Mahadevan.

Shankar Mahadevan said, "We took advantage of the fact that we were all isolated during the lockdown, and John ji took the lead. So, from remote places all over the world, files were going back and forth, we had a common dropbox, everybody listened to it, put their part, brought it back, exchanged comments on a WhatsApp group, oh my god! how we executed this album 'This Moment' is really remarkable. It was an experience and we really enjoyed the process."

'This Moment' will be released on Friday.

She wrote in Hindi: "Jai Shri Ram. Jaki rahi bhavna jaisi, prabhu moorat dekhi tin tesi. Iska arth hai ki achi soch aur drishthi se dekho toh srishthi sundar dikhayi degi. Bhagwan Ram ne hi humein sikhaya hai ki Shabri ke ber main uska prem dekho, na ki yeh ki voh jhoothe the. Insaan ki galtiyon ko nahi uski bhavnao ko samjho. (Lord Ram himself has taught us to look at the love in Shabri's fruits and not at the fact that they were half eaten. 'Adipurush', which also stars Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan, has stirred controversy over its dialogues, which many felt was "tapori" like.

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) even requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi for banning the film for defaming the image of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman.

The Oscar-winning actress is the co-producer of the documentary 'Bread And Roses', which looks at the women living under Taliban rule in Afghanistan, and Jennifer has confessed to being hugely passionate about the issue.

The 32-year-old star told Sky News: "You watch it on the news and you know that it's just going to eventually fade out of the news and I didn't want these women's lives to just be a quick story that everybody forgets about."

Lawrence approached her producing partner in an effort to shine a light on the issue, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The Hollywood star also described the current situation in Afghanistan as being "unbelievable".

She shared: "I spoke to my producing partner about how to get cameras in a Taliban-run Afghanistan, and we found Sahra Mani, who is an Afghan filmmaker, and we told her this is what we want to do.

"Obviously it was extremely dangerous for her and for the three women that participated ... and thanks to Sahra and these amazing women's courage, we have this footage that hopefully will explain and put more light on women's suffrage in Afghanistan, which is just unbelievable."

Sahra directed the 2018 documentary 'A Thousand Girls Like Me', which centres on a young Afghan woman who seeks justice after having been abused for years.

Lawrence previously claimed that she was the ideal candidate to helm 'Bread And Roses'.

Ahead of its trailer launch on Thursday, the makers unveiled an intriguing but incredibly vague 17 second teaser which reveals next to nothing except the appearance of Vidya Balan's character.

The teaser simply says "Suspects are arriving. Motives are forming. Get ready folks, a mystery is coming."

In addition, the makers revealed 11 posters of the film's key characters, giving viewers an introduction to Vidya Balan's character, and the 10 other suspects who drive the plot forward.

While the teaser offers a small sneak peek into the enigmatic world of the murder mystery, with each poster hyping up the mystery, ultimately the teaser only ups the curiosity.

Shot as a classic murder mystery, the story follows Vidya Balan's character detective Mira Rao, who is forced by the situation at hand to become an unlikely detective, investigating a mystery-filled murder at a billionaire's party.

Narrating a tension filled suspense story, appearances are deceiving as nothing is what it appears to be.

"Neeyat" consists of an ever evolving chain of motives with each and every suspect harbouring their own dark secrets.

The film also stars Ram Kapoor, who plays billionaire Ashish Kapoor. Actor Rahul Bose and Shahana Goswami play banker Jimmy Mistry and billionaire Lisa respectively.

Then there is Niki Walia essaying a tarot card reader among many other personalities in the film.

The film is directed and co-written by Anu Menon, who last collaborated with Vidya Balan in the 2020 directorial "Shakuntala Devi", based on the life and times of the lady known as the human computer.

In addition, Anu Menon has also directed multiple episodes of the internationally acclaimed series "Killing Eve".

Additional writers for "Neeyat" include Priya Venkataraman, Advaita Kala and Girvani Dhyani with dialogues written by Kausar Munir.

Jointly produced by the Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment, which previously also produced "Shakuntala Devi", and Prime Video, "Neeyat" will release theatrically on July 7, 2023.

Debut producer duo Sanjay Saha and Raadhika Nanda are helming the film. The former calls the process of finding 300 transgender people for the film 'adventurous'.

He said: "The process was very adventurous and hard at the same time. It was not very difficult to convince them as we were also learning their life experiences and making them a part of the film. We had a great time learning tons of things from them, including how their life and world is very different from us."

There was one transgender woman named Renuka who helped the filmmakers during the research of the film.

Sanjay said: "She helped us learn about their community and their upbringing, along with the challenges faced by them from childhood to their day-to-day life. She also made us visit many people from the community which helped us write the script and get a better understanding of their life. She had brought some of her friends from the community to Nawaz so that he could get into the character and deeply understand their life."

"I'm glad how Nawaz has spent a lot of time with them and making sure he truly understands what they go through."

The team shot with the transgender people in Delhi. Sanjay credits Renuka for helping them make Haddi more authentic when it comes to transgender representation.

"Renuka has helped us through the entire medical process too, including how the operation happens and what they have to go through post operation. The writers sat with the transgender people to have a fair understanding of where they live, where they get treated, what they do in daily lives, and followed their lifestyle which helped us a lot to make Haddi a truth based film on them since Nawaz is playing a transgender," he said.

On Tuesday the AICWA penned a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the subject line reading as "Request to immediately Ban on Adipurush Movie - THIS IS NOT OUR RAMAYAN."

The letter read: "All Indian Cine Workers Association Demands Ban on Screening the Movie Adipurush, This Movies screenplay and dialogues are clearly defaming the Image of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman. Adipurush Movie is Hurting religious Sentiment's of Hindus and Sanatan Dharma."

The letter stated that Lord Ram is a God for everyone in India no matter which faith one comes from.

"This Movie Depicts Lord Ram and even Ravan who looks like a Character of a video game, with dialogues hurting every Indian in the country and across the Globe."

The AICWA requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to "order to stop screening this Movie and immediately order a Ban of Adipurush Screening in the Theatres and OT platforms in the Future."

They also stated they needed an FIR against the director and writer Manoj Muntasir Shukla.

"We need FIR against the Director (Om Raut), Writer (Manoj Muntasir Shukla) & the Producers of the Movie who have hurted the Hindu Sentiments and Save the Image of our Bhagwan Shri Ram, Maa Sita & Ramsevak Bhagwan Hanuman."

The letter also stated that actors "Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali khan shouldn't have been part of such a disgraceful movie ever made in the history of Indian Cinema, Adipurush is a complete disaster of our faith in Shri Ram and Ramayan."

The letter was by Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, founder and president of the All Indian Cine Workers Association.

A copy of the letter has also been sent to Anurag Thakur, Union Minister - Information & Broadcasting and Prasoon Joshi, Chairman, Central Board of Film Certification.

He told BBC Radio 1, "I'm starting with a song I haven't played for about ten years, so we'll see how it goes. I've got the setlist down, I've got rehearsal dates booked for the guest artists, so we just have to hope the weather will still be nice".

Glastonbury marks the end of Elton's touring commitments in the UK, and the chart-topping icon believes it's the "perfect ending" for him.

Elton shared, quoted by 'Female First UK', "It's a different show to what people have been seeing. On Farewell Yellow Brick Road, there's quite a lot of deep cuts, it's not all hits, and you've got to keep people interested."

The singer's upcoming appearance will mark his first-ever visit to Glastonbury, and Elton can't wait to perform at the festival.

He said: "I've watched Glastonbury on the TV, and the thing that I love about Glastonbury is not the headliners, per se, it's the people on the smaller stages that give the chance to shine. So if I was at Glastonbury, I would probably be in one of the smaller tents, looking at one of the newer acts playing, because that's what I want to see."

Elton is actually looking forward to watching some other artistes perform at Glastonbury.

On the Monday episode of the show, hosted by Salman Khan, Aaliya said that she knew Nawazuddin's brother, who was then his assistant. She was staying somewhere as a paying guest and that was when the actor's brother asked her to stay with them till she found a new place.

She shared that after thinking a lot, she said yes.

"I saw his photos first and I liked his eyes. His eyes are very sexy. Then we met and fell in love. Then we started living together. This has been our journey," she said.

Cyrus then asked her about her new man.

Talking about him, Aaliya said that he is Italian and a beautiful person.

She said that the mystery man is a "software engineer" and makes her feel protected.

"So he said he liked my eyes and then we started talking. He is a software engineer. He gives you respect and love. He makes you feel protected and chivalrous. That's why I came into this relationship openly after 19 years. I wasn't scared," Aaliya told Cyrus.

After a deep conversation, Aaliya and Cyrus talked about marriage to which she said she doesn't "plan to get married again".

After 19 years of being married to Nawazuddin, the couple are now undergoing a divorce. Nawazuddin and Aaliya have two children together.

The actor, who earlier played a CBI officer in the 2015 Irrfan-starrer 'Talvar, shared that this time he wanted to play a cop in uniform and he insisted to the creator and director of 'Dahaad Reema Kagti to let him play a 'Vardi waala cop.

The actor told IANS, "I play a cop in this series. Last time, I played a CBI cop in 'Talvar'". He said in jest, "This time, I requested Reema Kagti to make me a 'Vardi' waala cop in the series, ki yaar is baar toh uniform pehanane ko mile (at least I'll get to play a cop in uniform this time)".

He also spoke about his character and how he crafted his performance. Being from a "small town" of Sri Ganganagar, really helped the actor in terms of the pitching of his character.

He added, "I think writing is a very tough job, as an actor we rely on good stories that enhance our performance. A well-written character gives you the chance to give your very best. We actors add our personalities to the characters that we play, we add our life experiences to them. Fortunately, I'm from a small town so that really helped in my performance in this series".

'Dahaad' is available to stream on Prime Video.

New Delhi, June 6 (SocialNews.XYZ) Actress Poorna Jagannathan, who plays the role of an Indian immigrant mother named Nalini in the Netflix series 'Never Have I Ever', has opened up about how the show has broken all barriers of type casting South Asian characters.

Asked if it feels like a pat on the shoulder with 'Never Have I Ever' helping to break Asian stereotypes, Poorna told IANS: "I always say this about the show that finally our outsides are matching our insides. What I mean by that is our representation in media... we are finally being represented and reflected as who we are inside our house and how we feel inside. There's a balance..."

The actress agreed that Indians have been typecast and given characters with absolutely no dimensions.

She added: "We are always such a side characters and are always like the stereotypical Indian characters with absolutely no dimensions. But suddenly we have shows like 'Never Have I Ever'."

Drawing a parallel with her character of Nalini, Poorna said that she herself is an "immigrant mother".

She added that the show tells a lot about what "it means to be an immigrant, mother, what it means to struggle, joy, as a woman to have desires and sexuality. What an amazing feeling to step into these characters' shoes that has a fully lived life as an actor but also as a South Asian woman."

Mumbai, June 5 (SocialNews.XYZ) The trailer of their upcoming series "Badtameez Dil", which was unveiled on Monday, presents the journey of a girl who believes in old-school romance and a guy who is an ardent believer of modern-day love.

The trailer, which is 1 minute and 35 seconds in length, follows the opposing ideologies of its leads essayed by Ridhi Dogra and Barun Sobti. While Ridhi's character sticks to conventional methods of love, Barun's character has some twisted ideas about love as his characters says in the trailer, "Shaadi usse karo jisse dosti ho aur sex usse karo jo hot ho (marry someone whom you can call a friend, and have sex with the one who is hot)".

About "Badtameez Dil", Ridhi said: "Classic romance is such a feel-good emotion to capture on the screen and 'Badtameez Dil' has done that job perfectly! It portrays the problems that a lot of couples face these days while falling in love, but they fail to resolve these differences and opt for the easy way out. I think 'Badtameez Dil' will definitely help a lot of audiences with a different perspective on how to tackle such issues."

She added: "There's a warm, familiar, happy, comforting feeling with old world romance. Stories about lovers and their unique love stories are forever loved and grab the audience's hearts. I am thrilled to say that this is my first ever rom com of any sort. I have never ever played a character like Liz. Coz I've never played a rom com heroine. I've always portrayed strong protagonists and trust me I am so looking forward to the audience seeing me in a genre that is the oldest genre in the world I have never been a part of."

Set in London, the show also stars Minissha Lamba, and Mallika Dua. The trailer takes the viewers on a rollercoaster ride of friendship, romance, heartbreak and family drama.

Shedding light on his character, Barun said: "My character in the series, Karan, is very opinionated and sorted about his life decisions as it appears. He knows what he wants and what he believes but of course, as the story unfolds, it will reveal who he really is. I am sure the audience will understand and relate to the character on many levels. I think Karan might be the character where I went through the most amount of emotional transition as an actor ever."

"Badtameez Dil" will drop on June 9 on Amazon miniTV.

Shruti and her friends along with her partner Santanu Hazarika, decided to let down their hair and visited a popular restaurant Louie's for a night out. Whilst listening to their in house band perform foot tapping music, Shruti decided to enthral the patrons with an impromptu performance.

It was absolutely spontaneous and the restaurant's in house band played along making it one memorable evening.

Talking about her impromptu singing, Shruti said, "It was a lovely evening and when they asked me to sing, I was glad to. I loved it and everyone had a fantastic time."

Mumbai, May 31 (SocialNews.XYZ) Bollywood director Ayan Mukerji, who delivered the blockbuster hit 'Brahmastra, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of his second film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which clocked a decade since its release on Wednesday.

The director took to his Instagram to reminisce about the film as he shared a video with bits from the film interspersed with visuals of him talking and his voice-over telling the viewers what the film means to him.

He also shared a long note along with the video as he wrote, "'YJHD' - My second child, a piece of my heart and soul - 10 years old today! I think after all these years, I can confidently say that. Making this movie was one of the greatest joys of my life! And what we achieved with it - with all its perfections and imperfections - is a source of great eternal pride for me! Strangely, I don't think I've ever seen Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fully from beginning to end, since the day it released (Always pushing towards the next milestone, and not looking back enough...!)".

He further mentioned, "But when I'm older and wiser - I think I will watch the movie at least once a year - because a big part of who I was and how I looked at life - is forever captured in this movie. In the recent months, I have often had people recognise me and come up to me... and I'm thinking they will say something about 'Brahmastra', and then they started talking about 'YJHD'".

The film, which boasts of a blockbuster original soundtrack by Pritam, starred Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur.

'About My Father', which also stars Kim Cattrall, Sebastian Maniscalco, Leslie Bibb and Anders Holm in titular roles, released in theatres on May 26, 2023 worldwide. Working with a legend like Robert De Niro is a dream for many actors, and when Brett got to work with the legend he was impressed by how approachable he was.

Brett Dier, who plays Doug in the film shared his experience working with the 'Godfather' actor, as he said, "Working with De Niro has definitely been a pretty wild experience. Because obviously, I mean he's 'De Niro'. But he's a very gentle, approachable person and I just loved being around him. I loved watching him do his thing and yeah I just feel this weird kinship with him where I'm just like - I love him".

Actor-comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, who headlines the film, also shared how De Niro came on-board for the film.

Sebastian Maniscalco said, "Once we got the movie up and running, we were given a list of actors who would be suitable to play my father. Obviously De Niro, in a dream sequence, was one of my first picks. Just because.. I mean his resume speaks for himself plus he's really good at comedy. So we got the script to him and it came back that he really kinda took it, to which we were like 'wow'. Of course you don't believe it until you know you actually see it but he signed up and it was off to the races from there and now we're here. We got a great cast".

Having worked with him in the past, fellow co-star Anders Holm also chimed in on working with De Niro twice. "So in this movie, Robert De Niro plays Salvo Maniscalco - Sebastian's fictional father. It's such a pleasure to work with him. I'd worked with him before on 'The Intern' and so now I'm a two time guy, alright? I don't know if there's any other two time guys out there but (I'm sure there are) it's a lot of fun, there's so much to learn from".

Helmed by Laura Terruso and written by Austen Earl and Sebastian Maniscalco, the movie, released by Lionsgate and PVRINOX Pictures, is currently playing in cinemas.

In the series, Abhishek's Hathoda Tyagi, who doesn't speak much, is known for murdering people in cold blood with a hammer.

Talking about it, Abhishek Banerjee said, "My mom didn't like my role as Hathoda Tyagi in 'Pataal Lok'. She said "kya hain ye" (what's this)? "Hathoda mein tum kya kar rahe ho" (What are you doing in the role of Hathoda)? But she loved my role in 'Bhediya'".

He also spoke about how his perception about memes have changed. He mentioned, "At first I used to think memes are just for fun, but when Hathoda Tyagi memes got viral, I understood that it meant respect."

However, his luck takes a turn when he is captured by Shaurya Chautala (Aksha Pardasany), an ambitious Crime Branch officer. The tables are turned when Prince finds himself facing Ritu Bhandari (Priya Bapat), the toughest and most renowned lawyer in town.

As the court battle ensues, it becomes increasingly unclear whether Prince is the true swindler, or an innocent caught in a web of deceit.

Joining Maniesh is Priya Bapat, who portrays the fiery and renowned lawyer Ritu Bhandari, adding intensity and depth to the courtroom battles.

Sushant Singh delivers a powerful performance as Sarvesh Pathania, a key character intricately entwined in Prince's world. Aksha Pardasany shines as Shaurya Chautala, the relentless and determined Crime Branch officer, who leaves no stone unturned in her pursuit of justice.
