Nita Ambani Stuns in Magenta Banarasi Saree as Ambani Family Celebrates Swadesh Anniversary in Style

The Ambani family made a grand appearance at the Devi Shakti Celebration in Mumbai, marking the first anniversary of the Swadesh flagship store at the iconic Eros Cinema building in Churchgate. Held on October 10, 2026, the celebration brought together heritage craftsmanship, festive traditions and luxury fashion, with the family stepping out in coordinated Indian ensembles. Hosted by Nita Ambani and organised by the Reliance Foundation, the evening celebrated the divine feminine and India's rich legacy of textiles, handloom and traditional artistry.

Nita Ambani stood out in a richly embroidered magenta-pink Banarasi silk saree featuring intricate gold zari motifs and an ornate border. She paired the saree with a heavily embellished blouse, completing the look with heritage jewellery that carried personal significance. Among the standout accessories was an heirloom gold armlet belonging to her maternal great-grandmother. She also wore a distinctive white-gold necklace from Swadesh featuring hand-painted scenes inspired by the life of Lord Shrinathji, adding an artistic and devotional touch to her festive ensemble.

Isha Ambani brought a different kind of artistry to the celebration with a custom multicoloured traditional outfit featuring elaborate embroidery and intricate visual details. The ensemble incorporated human figures, elephant motifs and miniature-painting-style scenes inspired by India's artistic heritage. Its elaborate craftsmanship made the outfit resemble a wearable work of art, reflecting the celebration's focus on preserving traditional techniques and bringing them into contemporary fashion.

Radhika Merchant complemented the family's festive aesthetic with a beautifully draped traditional look featuring ethnic motifs, coordinating elegantly with her mother-in-law. Shloka Mehta also embraced the occasion in an opulent, meticulously detailed traditional ensemble that added to the family's regal presence. Together, the Ambani women showcased different interpretations of Indian occasion wear, with rich textiles, detailed embellishments and heritage-inspired designs taking centre stage.

The Ambani men maintained a coordinated appearance in tailored designs from Raghavendra Rathore Jodhpur. Mukesh Ambani, Akash Ambani and Anant Ambani opted for sophisticated bandhgalas and kurtas, creating a polished family look rooted in traditional Indian menswear. Their ensembles complemented the women's intricate outfits while reflecting the celebration's emphasis on craftsmanship and Indian design.

Beyond the fashion, the Swadesh anniversary celebration placed a spotlight on the artisans and craftspeople who preserve India's diverse artistic traditions. Guests had the opportunity to witness demonstrations of heritage art forms, including Kalamkari painting from Andhra Pradesh, Kalighat painting and Ashavali weaving. These showcases highlighted the skill and dedication behind traditional crafts, bringing the work of master artisans into the heart of a high-profile cultural gathering.

The event also welcomed prominent personalities from cinema, business and culture, turning the anniversary into a celebration of Indian heritage on a grand scale. By combining traditional attire, live craft demonstrations and the spiritual theme of Devi Shakti, the Ambani family marked Swadesh's first anniversary with a tribute to the people and techniques that keep India's craft traditions alive.
