Jr NTR Wishes SS Rajamouli on His Birthday Calls Him the Man Who Keeps Raising the Bar

Actor Jr NTR has penned a heartfelt birthday wish for filmmaker SS Rajamouli, celebrating the director’s ability to keep pushing the boundaries of filmmaking. Taking to social media on October 10, the actor shared a warm message for the filmmaker, affectionately addressing him as “Jakkanna” and praising the way he continues to raise expectations with his work. The birthday wish also offered a glimpse into the bond the two share, having previously collaborated on the global sensation RRR.

Jr NTR wrote, “Happy Birthday to the man who keeps raising the bar and then jumps over it himself. Love you Jakkanna @ssrajamouli.” The short but affectionate message captured the actor’s admiration for Rajamouli, whose films have consistently drawn attention for their scale, storytelling and ambitious visual presentation. By describing the director as someone who surpasses the standards he sets himself, NTR highlighted the filmmaker’s constant drive to push his own creative limits.

Adding to the warmth of the birthday post was a photograph showing Jr NTR giving Rajamouli a piggyback ride, with both appearing cheerful. The candid moment offered a personal touch to the public birthday greeting, reflecting the camaraderie between the actor and director beyond their professional association. Their collaboration on RRR, which brought together NTR and Ram Charan under Rajamouli’s direction, became a major milestone for Telugu cinema and helped introduce the film to audiences across the world.

Rajamouli’s birthday comes as attention continues to build around his next ambitious project, Varanasi. The globetrotting action-adventure epic is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027. Known for films such as Baahubali and RRR, the director has established a reputation for mounting large-scale cinematic productions, and Varanasi is among the most anticipated projects on his upcoming slate.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR is preparing for his next major film, Dragon, which is also widely referred to by its tentative title NTR Neel. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the project has generated considerable interest among fans eager to see the actor collaborate with the filmmaker known for the KGF franchise and Salaar. While details about the film remain limited, the collaboration marks another significant project in NTR’s career following the international attention surrounding RRR.

As SS Rajamouli celebrates another birthday, Jr NTR’s message stands out for its simplicity and affection. The actor’s words recognise the filmmaker’s ambition and creative drive while celebrating a friendship strengthened through their work together. With Varanasi on the horizon for Rajamouli and Dragon among NTR’s upcoming projects, both continue to have major films to look forward to in the coming years.
