Jackie Shroff and Sharad Kelkar’s Kaali Kheti Gets New Release Date, Motion Posters Add to Rural Horror Mystery

The mystery surrounding Kaali Kheti is getting darker with every new reveal. Studio Black Canvas has dropped two intriguing motion posters for the upcoming rural horror film, offering a glimpse into its eerie world while announcing a new release date. Earlier scheduled to hit cinemas on October 23, 2026, the film will now arrive on the big screen on November 20, 2026.

Sharing the motion posters on social media, Studio Black Canvas teased audiences with the mysterious line, “Andhera hote hi yaha har jagah kheti ka raj hota hai…Kaali Kheti Ka!!” The cryptic tagline immediately sets the mood for a story where darkness appears to bring an entirely different kind of farming to life. The makers have asked audiences to stay tuned, promising more details as the film moves closer to its theatrical release.

The new motion posters also put the spotlight on the film's intriguing characters, with Jackie Shroff and Sharad Kelkar being among the key faces featured in the latest promotional campaign. Their presence adds further curiosity to a film that appears to be combining rural settings with supernatural horror. Alongside them, the cast includes Neha Sargam, Virendra Saxena and Shaji Choudhary in pivotal roles.

The decision to move Kaali Kheti from October 23 to November 20 is expected to give the film a more focused theatrical window. With several releases lined up during October, the makers have opted for a new date that allows the rural horror story to arrive in cinemas away from the crowded festive release calendar. The shift also gives the team additional time to build anticipation around the film and its mysterious characters.

Written and directed by Haris Imtiyaz Khan, Kaali Kheti is produced by Sana Khan under the BlackCanvas Studio banner. While the makers are keeping much of the story under wraps, the promotional material so far suggests that the film will explore a sinister side of rural life, with the title itself hinting at something far more mysterious than an ordinary field. The latest motion posters only add to the questions surrounding what exactly happens when darkness falls.

With Jackie Shroff, Sharad Kelkar and a strong supporting cast leading the film, Kaali Kheti is now gearing up for its November 20 theatrical release. The makers' cryptic campaign appears designed to reveal the film's world piece by piece, leaving audiences wondering what the mysterious “Kaali Kheti” really means. For now, one thing is clear—the horror is being cultivated, and the next reveal could make the mystery even darker.
