New Delhi, Sep 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi, said on Tuesday that since the publication of draft electoral rolls on August 31, over 1.52 lakh Forms 6 have been received for inclusion of names of new voters and 3,435 Forms 7 have been received for objections to inclusion or deletion of names.
Sharing details of claims, objections, and other data collected till Monday, the CEO said 57,951 Forms 8 have been received from August 31 to September 28 for shifting of residence, correction of entries, replacement of EPIC cards, or marking of persons with disabilities.
The maximum number of 729 Forms 7 – meant for objections to inclusion or deletion of names – have been received in the South East District, followed by 382 in West District, 372 in South District and 356 in South West District.
On the front of including young voters between August 31 and September 28, West Delhi received the maximum 18,752 Forms 6, followed by 15,946 in North West Delhi and 15,231 in South East Delhi, an official statement said.
The maximum number of 7,390 Forms 8 were received from August 31 to September 28 in North East District. The next highest number of 6,293 Forms 8 - for objections to inclusion or deletion of names – were received from East District, followed by 5,917 in West Delhi.
Form 6 is for new voters, Form 6A for overseas electors, Form 7 for objections to proposed inclusion or deletion of names, and Form 8 for shifting of residence, correction of entries, replacement of EPIC cards, or marking of persons with disabilities, the statement said.
Applications can be submitted offline by handing them over to the electoral registration officer, assistant electoral registration officer, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) or at designated polling station locations till October 30.
Online applications are also being accepted through the website https://voters.eci.gov.in and the ECINET mobile app.
The Delhi election office said that citizens may submit other claims and objections using the prescribed forms till October 30.
The statement said that claims and Objections received till October 30 will be disposed of by November 30, and the final electoral roll will be published on December 4.
