Mushtaq Khan Passes Away at 56: Veteran Actor and Comedy Favourite Dies in Mumbai

Veteran actor and comedian Mushtaq Khan has passed away at the age of 56, leaving behind a career filled with memorable supporting performances across Hindi cinema and television. The actor breathed his last in Mumbai on September 24, 2026, while undergoing treatment for cancer at Nanavati Hospital. Known for his effortless comic timing and ability to make even brief appearances memorable, Mushtaq Khan remained a familiar and much-loved face for generations of Hindi film audiences.

Mushtaq Khan’s acting journey stretched across more than four decades. He began his career in 1975 and went on to appear in more than 200 films as well as numerous television shows. While he was often seen in supporting and comic roles, his performances had a distinct quality that allowed his characters to stand out.
