The meeting focused on the Government’s next phase of economic transformation, with particular emphasis on commercial agriculture, value addition and job creation.
Dr Forson identified sugar, cocoa processing, palm oil and poultry as priority areas requiring increased private-sector investment. He also highlighted Ghana’s ambition to become the pharmaceutical hub of West Africa.
On his part, Mr Diop commended Ghana’s recent economic progress, particularly the reduction in inflation, and assured the Minister of the IFC’s continued support for the country’s development agenda.
