'Boyfriend' drags woman on car bonnet in Lucknow

Lucknow, Sep 16 (SocialNews.XYZ) In a shocking incident reported from Lucknow, a woman was allegedly dragged on the bonnet of a car, being driven by her purported boyfriend, after she confronted him for visiting a park with another woman.

According to an eyewitness, the woman tried to stop the vehicle and talk to the man sitting in the driver's seat. The car was initially slow, but it eventually picked up speed and dragged her on the bonnet as she attempted to confront the man. The woman got injured and was taken to the nearest hospital.

The man was reportedly visiting Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow's Gomti Nagar with a woman friend. When his girlfriend got the whiff of it, she arrived at the scene, and an argument broke out between the two, NDTV reported.

Subsequently, he quickly got into his car and tried to flee.

A video of the incident that has gone viral on social media shows the woman shouting: "I won't die. Do whatever you want. Stop the car", while hitting the flat of her hand sharply on the car hood.

According to the video, the man continues to drive, slowly at first, with the woman's body sprawled across the car's hood as she continues shouting.

After a few minutes, as the driver picks up speed, the woman rolls off the front. The driver then sped away.

A formal complaint has been submitted to the police on behalf of the victim. The police are searching for the accused using the car's registration number, the report said.

A similar case was reported from Greater Noida earlier this month, where a man named Himanshu Rai was hit by a speeding vehicle while he was returning after picking up a cake for his own birthday.

Speaking to IANS, Rai’s wife said: “I was with him when the accident happened. We had gone to buy a cake when a car arrived at high speed, and the accident took place. The impact was so horrific, and everything happened so fast that I couldn’t comprehend it at first. There was a loud crash, and I couldn’t gauge what happened.”

Rai is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
