New Delhi, Sep 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Harsh Malhotra said on Tuesday that the party's victory in Rajasthan municipal elections once again reaffirms the people's faith in the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He added that Rajasthan voters have tradition of electing a large number of independent candidates in municipal elections.
However, this time, the people have created history by electing nearly 4,200 BJP candidates in municipal elections.
"Whether it is the BJP securing a majority in the Municipal Corporation in Kota, an emerging city with a young population, or the BJP's victory in the state capital Jaipur, the results clearly demonstrate that despite the conspiracies being jointly carried out by all opposition political parties, the youth, educated sections, business community, and especially women of the country continue to stand firmly with the party and will continue to do so," Malhotra said.
In another development, he added that the Delhi BJP has taken cognisance of information regarding an unpleasant and undesirable incident involving a BJP Mandal President and some other party workers in the North West Parliamentary constituency.
"The state leadership is taking the incident very seriously. After speaking with the concerned Member of Parliament and the District President, we issued a letter on Monday evening to the MLA and the Mandal President concerned, asking them to submit their explanation to the Delhi BJP Disciplinary Committee by 3 p.m. on Wednesday," Malhotra said.
"The matter has been referred to the Delhi BJP Disciplinary Committee, and further action will be taken based on its report."
"Both parties are free to seek police or legal action if they so wish. The party, meanwhile, will take appropriate disciplinary action as per its organisational rules."
