Produced by television creator Rajan Shahi under the banner Directors Kut Production, The Lift follows four complete strangers who suddenly find themselves trapped together inside an elevator. What begins as an unusual situation soon develops into a gripping psychological mystery as secrets, personalities and hidden layers begin to emerge. The confined setting gives the series plenty of room for tension, making every interaction between the four characters potentially more significant than it first appears.

Pratik Sehajpal plays Hriday, a spoiled and arrogant young man who comes from an extremely wealthy family. However, according to the actor, Hriday is far more complicated than his initial personality suggests. As the story progresses, audiences will get to see the different sides of the character and discover what lies beneath his privileged exterior. For Pratik, taking on a character with multiple layers appears to have been one of the most exciting aspects of the series.

The actor said he always tries to give more than his absolute best and does not believe in settling for 90 or 99 percent when he knows he can push himself further.
