Shreya Kalra Opens Up on Lakk Lean, Chemistry With Rishab Jaiswal And Life After Lock Upp

Shreya Kalra recently stepped into the spotlight as she hosted a special screening for her new music video Lakk Lean, alongside Rishabh Jaiswal and KP Sandhu. While the high-energy party anthem has been grabbing attention for its dance sequences and Shreya and Rishabh's chemistry, the actress also got candid about the hard work behind the song, the love she has received from fans and her journey since Lock Upp.

Speaking about the making of Lakk Lean, Shreya revealed that the team managed to complete the entire music video in just seven hours. She explained that she arrived a day early to prepare for the choreography, spending two to three hours learning the steps. Rishabh, meanwhile, had a far more challenging schedule, arriving directly on set after spending three months shooting another project in Lucknow. Despite having almost no preparation time, he picked up the choreography on location and delivered a performance that left Shreya impressed.

“Well, for me, I dedicated a full day to it; I went a day early and spent two or three hours learning the choreography. But I have to give credit to Rishab because he came straight to the set. He had been shooting for a project in Lucknow for three months and arrived directly at the location. He learned the steps right there and performed so well. I’m really happy with his performance. I had rehearsed, but Rishab did a great job—he really nailed it,” Shreya said.

The music video may look polished and grand, but getting there was far from easy. The team faced a few technical glitches and the pressure of working against the clock, yet managed to pull everything together within the extremely tight schedule. For Shreya, the launch also became another moment to showcase her versatility as a performer, combining dance, glamour and her natural screen presence in a track designed to be a full-on party anthem.

However, it was Shreya's candid conversation about her post-Lock Upp journey that gave the event a more personal dimension. Addressing the love and positivity coming her way from fans, she expressed gratitude while admitting that she is taking her time to choose the right opportunities. She also revealed that she had recently been unwell in Chandigarh and had to visit a hospital after her blood pressure dropped while she was rehearsing. Despite the setback, Shreya remains determined to keep working towards bigger projects.

“I’d just tell them to keep the love coming. I’m trying to do some great things, though I’m going to take my time. I was actually quite unwell in Chandigarh; we even had to go to the hospital because my blood pressure dropped while rehearsing. I’m working really hard to achieve big things post-Lock Upp, so please just give me time and have faith in me. You’ve shown so much faith in me so far, so please keep believing. I’ll be back with new content and plenty of great projects. Just keep loving and supporting me—I love you guys so much,” Shreya said. Adding another sweet touch to the occasion, Rishabh revealed that he has dedicated his first publicly sung track to Shreya, making the launch even more special for the couple.
