Exclusive - Hanuman Ansh Actress Neha Paranjape Reveals the Career Lesson She Learnt While Playing Parvati Mai

‘Greed Is Not Always About Money’: In an exclusive interview, Hanuman Ansh actress Neha Paranjape, who played Parvati Mai in the film, opened up about a personal realisation that came to her while shooting for the project in Chitrakoot - that greed isn’t always about money. While she was shooting for Hanuman Ansh, Neha was simultaneously pursuing an opportunity for a Marathi serial. She had spent nearly one to one-and-a-half months preparing for the look test and was in touch with the production team. She even returned to Mumbai from Chitrakoot to appear for the test.

But the opportunity did not work out. Two to three days later, she was told that she did not suit the character. For Neha, however, the experience became an opportunity to reflect on her own approach towards work. She wondered whether her eagerness to take up another project while already committed to Hanuman Ansh was also a form of greed - not greed for money, but a hunger for more opportunities. At the same time, the actress was careful not to draw a definite conclusion. She admitted that she could not say for certain whether the two things were connected, but the experience did leave her with a valuable lesson about focusing on the present.

Her takeaway was simple: “Ek baar mein ek hi kaam karo.” For Neha, the incident was a reminder that every opportunity cannot be chased at the same time and that sometimes, it is more important to give your complete attention to the work already in front of you. Playing Parvati Mai in Hanuman Ansh may have been a professional opportunity for the actress, but her experience during the shoot also made her look at her own ambitions a little differently.

While she was already committed to Hanuman Ansh, Neha’s decision to pursue the Marathi serial opportunity made her question whether the constant desire for more work could also be considered a form of greed. Not necessarily greed for money, but the hunger to keep looking for and taking up more opportunities. However, she did not claim that this was definitely the reason the other opportunity did not work out, acknowledging that she could not say for certain whether the two things were connected.

The experience nevertheless stayed with her and gave her a valuable lesson about focusing on the present. For Neha, it was about understanding that every opportunity cannot be chased at the same time and that sometimes it is more important to give your complete attention to the work already in front of you. Her simple thought, “Ek baar mein ek hi kaam karo,” became the key takeaway from the experience.

Playing Parvati Mai in Hanuman Ansh may have been a professional opportunity for the actress, but her experience during the shoot also made her look at her own ambitions a little differently. The episode became a moment of reflection for Neha, reminding her that the desire for more opportunities is not always about money and that sometimes, focusing on the present work can be just as important as looking ahead to what comes next.
