Rajinikanth Wraps Dharman Second Schedule In Full Swag As Kamal Haasan Collaboration Raises The Stakes

Rajinikanth Wraps Dharman Second Schedule In Full Swag As Kamal Haasan Collaboration Raises The Stakes

The Dharman fever is only getting stronger, and the latest update has given fans another reason to get excited. Raaj Kamal Films International has officially announced the wrap of the film’s second shooting schedule with a stylish 37-second promo that puts Rajinikanth front and centre. Titled Dharman: The Deadly Doctor, the action thriller is already creating plenty of curiosity, and the new glimpse makes one thing clear — Rajinikanth is bringing his trademark swag to the doctor’s coat.

The promo offers a quick but punchy look at Rajinikanth’s character, with hospital sets providing the backdrop as the superstar strikes confident poses and commands the frame. The makers have aptly labelled the moment “SWAG Mode: ON”, a phrase that feels tailor-made for the actor. There is very little revealed about the story, but the presentation appears to be deliberately teasing a character who could combine brains, attitude and action in a way only Rajinikanth can pull off.

Dharman marks Rajinikanth’s 173rd film, adding another major title to one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated careers. Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the action thriller comes with an impressive technical line-up, including music by Anirudh Ravichander. The cast also features Simran, Raashii Khanna and Yogi Babu, giving the project a strong mix of star power and character-driven talent.

But the biggest talking point surrounding Dharman goes well beyond its cast and genre. The film is being produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International, bringing together two of Tamil cinema’s biggest icons in a collaboration that has been decades in the making. The project reportedly fulfils a 40-year promise between Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth to work together, making the film considerably more significant than a standard superstar vehicle.

Adding another layer of nostalgia to the project is the use of Rajinikanth’s much-loved “Ketta Paiyan Sir” line, which has become part of the character’s overall vibe. It is the kind of familiar Rajinikanth touch that can instantly connect a new film to the superstar’s larger pop-culture legacy. At the same time, the hospital setting and the “deadly doctor” concept suggest that Dharman could be aiming for something different rather than simply recycling the usual mass-hero formula.

With the second schedule now wrapped, the momentum around Dharman is clearly building. The combination of Rajinikanth in a stylish doctor avatar, Ashwath Marimuthu behind the camera, Anirudh handling the music and Kamal Haasan backing the project gives the film plenty of ammunition before its next big update. For fans, the equation is irresistible: two legends, one long-awaited collaboration and a superstar doctor who apparently has his swag firmly switched on. Now, the real curiosity is what secrets the makers are still keeping behind that hospital door.
