Post office MP's in Shivpuri gets digital upgrade under 'Janseva Connect' initiative

Shivpuri, Sep 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) The postal department's modernisation drive reached Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri on Wednesday with the inauguration of a new Head Post Office equipped with digital facilities aimed at making services more convenient for citizens.

Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated the facility during his visit to Shivpuri.

He also inaugurated three other post offices in Guna and Gwalior.

The Shivpuri facility has been developed under the 'Janseva Connect Post Office' initiative. It includes systems aimed at streamlining service delivery and improving the experience of people visiting the post office.

During the inauguration, Scindia himself took a token from the automated token machine and explained the functioning of the digital system to public representatives and citizens.

The Union Minister said the modern facility was part of efforts to bring postal services in line with changing requirements.

"The Shivpuri modern Head Post Office is not merely a new building, but an important initiative towards modernising postal services in line with the changing needs of India," he added.

Scindia said the objective was to develop post offices as citizen-centric service centres and provide different postal services in a simpler and more effective manner.

The Janseva Connect Post Office at Nehru Place in Delhi was earlier inaugurated as part of the same initiative.

The Shivpuri facility is the next addition to the series.

Scindia noted that the postal department has a wide network across the country and its modernisation would help connect this network with technology and improved services.

"Developing post offices with modern facilities will connect this extensive network with new technology, better services and a citizen-centric system," he said.

The three post offices inaugurated in Guna and Gwalior will also provide upgraded postal and public services to residents in those areas.
