Zack Snyder’s The Last Photograph Trailer Unveiled Ahead of Surprise Toronto Premiere

Zack Snyder is returning with a film that promises to take audiences deep into the South American mountains, where reality, memory and survival begin to blur. The trailer for The Last Photograph has been released following the surprise announcement that the film has been added to the lineup of the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival as a last-minute selection. Starring Stuart Martin and Fra Fee, the film looks like a dark, atmospheric thriller built around a desperate search, brutal loss and the ghosts of a troubled past.

Martin plays Ethan, an ex-DEA operative whose life is turned upside down after the brutal murder of his diplomat brother and sister-in-law. Their children, his niece and nephew, disappear following the killings, forcing Ethan to return to the mountains of South America in search of them. His only lead is Joe, a washed-up, drug-addicted war photographer played by Fra Fee, who happens to be the only person to have seen the faces of the killers.
