The Principal Secretary, State Department for Basic Education, Mr. John Ololtuaa, CBS, representing the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Mr. Julius Migos Ogamba, today graced the closing ceremony of the 2nd East African Regional Education Conference, held under the theme "From Commitment to Impact: Fostering Resilience and Future-Ready Systems for Sustainable Development."

This followed a closed-door Ministerial Committee session in which PS Ololtuaa joined fellow Ministers and senior education officials from the region to ratify a Joint Communiqué, outlining agreed actions for Member States to implement ahead of the 3rd Conference, to be hosted in Kampala, Uganda.

The conference reaffirmed the region's shared resolve to build resilient, future-ready education systems that deliver lasting impact for learners across East Africa.
