New Delhi, Aug 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) Highlighting good values and patriotism, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal on Tuesday gave away the top prize to Bal Bharti Public School, Parwana Road, Pitampura, for the 58th Youth Parliament Competition (2025–26) organised for Delhi schools.
Meghwal interacted with the participating students and highlighted the important role of Youth Parliament in nurturing future leaders.
He emphasised that such programmes help to inculcate leadership qualities and democratic values among young minds.
Meghwal exhorted the students to pursue excellence in whatever field they choose, while remaining firmly guided by good values and a sense of responsibility towards the nation.
The Minister also encouraged students who could not secure prizes, stating that participation itself is an achievement and that every student can contribute to nation-building by imbibing democratic values and principles.
On this occasion, the winning school, Bal Bharti Public School, presented a repeat performance of its Youth Parliament sitting, which was appreciated by all gathered at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium, Parliament Library Building, Parliament House Complex, New Delhi.

Earlier, Parliamentary Affairs Secretary Nikunja Bihari Dhal said the Youth Parliament Programme not only prepares future leaders but also develops critical thinking among students and familiarises them with democratic values, in an official statement.
He emphasised that the programme promotes respect for diverse opinions and encourages students to appreciate differences of opinion, which is essential for a healthy democracy.
Additional Secretary Satya Prakash appreciated the efforts of the participating students and teachers.
He said the Youth Parliament Programme inculcates democratic values and parliamentary ethos among the younger generation and prepares them to become responsible citizens who can contribute meaningfully to the nation's development.
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has been organising Youth Parliament Competitions for schools in the National Capital Territory of Delhi for the past 60 years.
The Youth Parliament Programme aims to inculcate among the younger generations the spirit of self-discipline, tolerance of diverse opinions, righteous expression of views, and other virtues of a democratic way of life.
Besides, the programme also acquaints students with the practices and procedures of Parliament, techniques of discussion and debate, and develops in them self-confidence, quality of leadership, and the art and skill of effective oratory, the statement said.
