Prem Keetanu And Drishyam The Conclusion Set Up A Big October Clash

Prem Keetanu And Drishyam The Conclusion Set Up A Big October Clash

October 2, 2026 is shaping up to be an interesting day at the box office as Veer Pahariya starrer Prem Keetanu is officially set to clash with Ajay Devgn and Tabu led Drishyam The Conclusion. With two very different films arriving on the same Friday, audiences will have a clear choice between a colourful romantic entertainer and a much darker thriller.

The makers of Prem Keetanu have announced the release date along with a new poster, confirming that the film will hit cinemas on October 2. The latest poster carries the films quirky and playful tone, featuring Veer Pahariya, Aparshakti Khurana and Aafiya Sayed in a humorous tree hanging situation. The fun visual comes shortly after the release of the films first song, Undi Bundi.

Prem Keetanu is directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, known for projects such as Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai and Aspirants. The film features Veer Pahariya, Aparshakti Khurana, Aafiya Sayed, Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay in key roles. The combination of romance, comedy and an unconventional presentation suggests that the film is aiming to offer audiences something lighter during the festive period.

The film marks Gaurav Vermas first independent production venture, with Prem Keetanu being produced by Avanika Films and co-presented by Gaurav Verma and PharsStudios in association with Bhavana Studios. The makers have already started building momentum with the teaser and music, with Undi Bundi giving audiences an early taste of the films energetic flavour. But standing opposite Prem Keetanu at the box office will be a very different proposition. Drishyam The Conclusion, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, is also scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 2. The third chapter of the popular Hindi thriller franchise is expected to carry significant audience anticipation after the success of the earlier films.

Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, the family man who has repeatedly relied on his intelligence and carefully constructed stories to protect his loved ones. Tabu also returns as Meera Deshmukh, and the latest promotional material suggests that her character is now driven by revenge rather than simply the pursuit of justice.

The contrast between the two films could not be more striking. Prem Keetanu appears to be going for humour, romance and colourful entertainment, while Drishyam The Conclusion is promising suspense, family drama and a high-stakes battle between Vijay and his opponents. This gives audiences two completely different theatrical experiences on the same day.

For Veer Pahariya, the clash is also an important opportunity. The actor has been steadily building his presence in Hindi cinema, and a festive release against an established franchise gives Prem Keetanu a chance to attract attention beyond its core audience. His pairing with the films quirky ensemble could make the project an interesting alternative for moviegoers.

Aparshakti Khurana brings another familiar name to the cast. Known for his ability to move comfortably between comedy and more dramatic roles, his presence could add another layer of humour to the film. With Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay also part of the ensemble, Prem Keetanu appears to be embracing a lively group dynamic.

Meanwhile, Drishyam The Conclusion has the advantage of an established franchise and recognisable characters. The previous films created a strong connection with audiences, and the promise of a concluding chapter could make the October 2 release particularly significant for fans of the series. The Gandhi Jayanti holiday period could make the clash even more interesting. Both films will be looking to benefit from the festive atmosphere and increased audience footfall, but their success could ultimately depend on how well they differentiate themselves and connect with their respective audiences.

One thing is certain: October 2 will offer moviegoers a genuine choice. If audiences are looking for romance, comedy and a lighter theatrical experience, Prem Keetanu could be the pick. Those wanting suspense, mystery and the return of Vijay Salgaonkar will have Drishyam The Conclusion waiting for them.

With both films now locked for the same release date, the countdown to the October box office battle has officially begun. Whether audiences choose love and laughter with Prem Keetanu or secrets and revenge with Drishyam The Conclusion, October 2 promises to be a busy day for Hindi cinema.
