When Kajol revealed she wanted to be a student of Sridevi

Mumbai, Aug 23 (SocialNews.XYZ) Bollywood actress Kajol once revealed that she wished to be a student of legendary actress Sridevi.

While speaking to veteran actor Anupam Kher, during his popular chat show 'The Anupam Kher show', Kajol had shared that, growing up, Sridevi was her favourite actress.

When Kher had asked Kajol, "Who were your favourite actresses before coming in films?", the 'K3G' actress shared, "Favourite actress when I was younger? I didn't have a favourite actress, but when I grew up a little bit, then I loved Sridevi. She was awesome. I always tell her that 'you should open a school. I must be the first student in your school' because she is the most unbelievable actress."

Expressing her admiration for Sridevi, Kajol had pointed out that when Sridevi used to perform a role, it was as if it had a part of her, while keeping it all about the character she played.

The 'Fanaa' actress had said, "She's a chameleon. She's the true actor in the sense. If you see her movies like 'Chandni', 'Chaalbaaz', 'Sadma' and 'Lamhe', each one of those films, I feel, has something of her and at the same time, it's all about the character. What she's playing. For that matter, even 'Khuda Gawah'."

Kajol further lauded Sridevi, saying that even after accomplishing so much, she still had a zest for life in her eyes.

"I think she's awesome, and the most amazing part is that you don't see age in her eyes. She still has it in her eyes. She's alive. She's interested. She's passionate. That 'no, I still want to do something with my life. I still want to do other things, you know.' That's still there with her," she concluded.

It must be noted that Kajol never got the opportunity to share the screen with Sridevi, who unfortunately passed away on 24 February 2018 at the age of 54 due to accidental drowning.
