Hyderabad, Aug 21 (SocialNews.XYZ) The YSR Congress Party on Friday alleged that the case relating to the June 16 incident in Hyderabad, in which a young man died after being run over by a car driven by Jana Sena MP Lingamaneni Ramesh’s son, was suppressed because of ‘hotline politics’ between Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu.
YSRCP national spokesperson Karthik Yellapragada said that the hotline politics between Telangana's Congress government and Naidu's government is very clear.
He said that the FIR was registered on Lingamaneni Ramesh's son five days ago. “It has been five days since the case was registered. Until now, the news has been suppressed, and no one gave any statements, no one discussed it, and they just kept quiet just because of the fact that the hotline between Mr Revanth Reddy and Mr Naidu has been very clear,” he said.
While demanding justice in the case, the YSRCP spokesman compared the incident involving the son of Jana Sena MP with a similar case involving the son of YSRCP leader and former Minister Seediri Appalaraju.
He alleged that both Appalaraju and his son were sent to jail because of political vendetta while the case involving Jana Sena MP’s son was suppressed.
Cyberabad Police on Thursday announced they have booked Lingamaneni Sanjush for causing the death of a young woman in an accident while driving a car allegedly in a rash and negligent manner four days ago.
Bharathi Mukhi (26), a sales executive at a store in a Mall in the IT corridor of Madhapur, was killed after being run over by an Aston Martin while crossing the road opposite the mall on August 16.
She sustained a severe bleeding head injury in the accident and was immediately rushed to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills. However, upon examination, doctors declared her dead.
During the investigation, the police identified the driver of the car at the time of the accident as Lingamaneni Sanjush (21).
“He was taken into custody the same day, and both 'drunk and drive' and drug tests were conducted. Blood samples were also collected and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis,” police said.
A case for causing death by a rash or negligent act has been booked against Sanjush under section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Madhapur Police Station.
Lingamaneni Ramesh is a Rajya Sabha member from Andhra Pradesh. He belongs to the Jana Sena Party, headed by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
