Patna, Aug 19 (SocialNews.XYZ) The political controversy over Tejashwi Yadav’s tribute to Mountain Man Dashrath Manjhi on his death anniversary has intensified, with Imamganj MLA Deepa Manjhi launching a sharp attack on her sister Rohini Acharya.
Addressing Rohini Acharya as “sister,” Deepa Manjhi questioned why she was defending Tejashwi Yadav despite her own previous public allegations concerning disagreements within the Yadav family and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
She referred to Rohini’s earlier kidney donation to Lalu Prasad Yadav and her subsequent claims that she had faced humiliation and had been distanced from the family.
Deepa Manjhi also recalled Rohini’s earlier criticism of Tejashwi Yadav and his close associates, including allegations concerning the party’s election strategy and responsibility for its electoral performance.
She questioned why Rohini Acharya was now defending the same leadership despite those earlier disagreements.
Deepa Manjhi further asked whether Tejashwi Yadav would ever hand over control of the RJD to Rohini or give her a position of political authority comparable to his own.
She argued that the dispute had moved beyond a family matter and become an issue of the RJD's political culture and internal functioning.
She also referenced Tej Pratap Yadav’s expulsion from the party and alleged that political control had increasingly become concentrated among a small group.
Deepa concluded by warning Rohini Acharya that compromising her own questions and self‑respect for another person’s political ambitions could ultimately prove damaging, arguing that internal conflicts over power can harm both family relationships and political organisations.
On August 17, the RJD organised a tribute meeting at its Patna office to mark the 19th Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Mountain Man Dashrath Manjhi.
Tejashwi Yadav, along with several RJD leaders and workers, attended the programme.
Many people from Dalit and Mahadalit communities also participated.
After the programme, Tejashwi Yadav demanded that the Bihar government install a statue of Dashrath Manjhi in Patna and establish an ashram in his name.
